Main sticking point in “framework deal”: 1967 borders

Framework deal could refer to “1967” without the word “borders”. U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry expected to return to Israel next week.

U.S. Ambassador to Israel Dan Shapiro: Nine-month negotiating window could be extended.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry may have just left Israel this past Monday, but it is already expected that he will return next week as part of his continuing effort to achieve a “framework agreement” between Israel and the Palestinians.

The main remaining point of contention regarding a framework deal is how the 1967 borders will be referred to in it. The Palestinians are demanding that the agreement declare that the peace negotiations will be based on the 1967 borders, while Israel opposes such a declaration.

For its part, the U.S. is interested in the deal including a clause referring to the 1967 borders with land swaps, explaining that this has been “the consistent American position” over the past two decades of Israeli-Palestinian peace talks, as evidenced by various past negotiation documents.

One possibility is that the framework deal will refer to “1967” without the word “borders.” Such a solution would be similar to the one included in the “Roadmap for Peace” signed in April 2003 by then-Prime Minister Ariel Sharon.

The wording of the clause would be along the lines of —

“The goal is to end the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian population that began in 1967, while understanding and taking into account changes that have occurred on the ground.”
In essence, a declaration like this would preserve Israel’s right to the Jerusalem region and settlement blocs.

My comment:

Is it possible to sign a “peace agreement” between an existing state and a wanabee statehood mentioning “1967′, but remove the word borders?

Possible, but than you must include something about the weather. Or what about the Beatles?

The album “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” was released in June 1967.

What a wonderful coincidence.

Be aware than all nations needs borders. The eastern border of Israel must always go long the Jordan river. And by the way: There has never been a “Palestinian people”. They are all Arabs.

Daily bread from the life of Y´shua

Matthew 22:32
‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’ ? He is not the God of the dead but of the living.”

The Messiah came and confirmed that God is God of the Jewish patriarchs. That God is God of Isaac, is important for all who believe in the Messiah. Isaac is the forefather of the Jewish people. Like a Father loves his sons, The Messiah loves his own people, alive and kicking and back home in Israel.

Bennett gives Netanyahu ultimatum on Zionism

Bayit Yehudi leader says ongoing Israeli-Palestinian talks “have only brought us terror”.

Bayit Yehudi chairman and Economy Minister Naftali Bennett says won’t accept deal with PA based on pre-1967 lines. He  warns his faction will not be part of gov’t that agrees to withdraw from land.

Bennett dismissed on Tuesday the possibility of swapping land with the Palestinians for peace or security.

The ongoing Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations “have only brought us terror,” Bennett said at an Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) conference.

He further warned that the establishment of an independent Palestinian state under any future peace deal will lead to terror.

The Palestinian children who were born at the time the 1993 Oslo accord was agreed upon are now 21 and have grown up on incitement, he said. “No piece of paper will change this.”

Bennett turned to recent international pressure on Israel to accept a diplomatic plan that that would not be optimal for Israel saying “we will never give up on Jerusalem. We won’t accept a deal based on the sixty-seven lines.”

The Bayit Yehudi leader said his factions would not be part of a government that makes decisions to withdraw from land.

My comment:

As I have said for the last years.

National religious settlers will stand as a witness in Jerusalem of God’s faithfulness towards the Jewish people.  They will be hated by all the nations, and many of them will be martyred.

Together with them, stand Messianic Jews and Evangelical Christians.  They are one of the two lamp stands that served God of the Hebrews on the face of the Earth. A remnant of God.

We will soon see that the majority of the Jewish people are ready to abandon the instructions they have got from God. They do no longer want to serve God of the Bible, but rather succumb to international pressure put on the Jewish state to achieve her surrender.

When the spirit that holds back the last man of lawlessness, he will appear, and be presented as the “prince of peace ” in Jerusalem. And all unclean spirits will rejoice, and so will all who are filled with them.
Be ready for a bumpy ride.

272 settler homes approved as Ofra gets “master plan”

Peace Now attacks decision saying it exemplifies Netanyahu’s “obsession with settlement building”.

The construction on Jewish land in Ofra in Samaria must continue.
The construction on Jewish land in Ofra in Samaria must continue.

The Civil Administration authorized 272 new homes for settlers this week and gave the Ofra settlement a boost of legitimacy by approving the first-ever master plan for the West Bank community since it was created in 1975.

“After 40 years of waiting, this is a celebration,” Ofra secretary Sami Karsenti said on Monday night. Both he and Peace Now spoke with The Jerusalem Post about the approvals.

Ofra is located 15 kilometers over the pre-1967 lines in the Binyamin region. It is outside the boundaries of the security barrier and is considered an isolated settlement.

Ofra is considered a legal settlement under Israeli law because the government approved it in the 1970s, even though it fails to meet all the technical criteria for an approved community.

A master plan for the settlement of 3,400 people was never approved and as such its buildings are considered unauthorized. The settlement’s situation is particularly complicated because many of the homes are situated on land that is privately owned by Palestinians.

My comment:

I feel this is a bold move by the Israeli Government that somehow reaffirm that the Jews have a birth-right to live in Samaria.

Let us hope and pray that Benjamin Netayhahu do not succumb to pressure, and let Obama decide the borders of Israel.

God of the Bible is the Lord of Israeli settlements in Judea and Samaria. In the prophetic Word of the Bible, God Him self promised to rebuild the ruins of Zion, and populated the house of Jacob on the Mountains of Zion.

The Word of God is the truth, reaffirmed by the Messiah coming in flesh 2000 years ago. All man made plans that contradict the Scriptures, are rubbish, and a fruit of rebellion against the Lord of History.
