Catholic Church: Demon possession on the rise.

Catholic priest Father Jose Francisco Syquia

MANILA (AFP) – A blood-curdling scream echoes through the Roman Catholic chapel in Manila as Father Jose Francisco Syquia says a prayer of exorcism over a Satanic cult member believed to be possessed by the devil.

“It’s very painful,” the woman cries in an unearthly voice, her body contorting in an attempt to break free from the tight grasp of Syquia’s assistants. After a few minutes she falls silent, her limp body exhausted.

The case is among hundreds documented on video and kept by Syquia, who heads the Manila Archdiocese’s Office of Exorcism — the only one that exists in the Catholic nation of 94 million people.

“She would have levitated had she not been restrained,” Syquia said of the woman in the video, portions of which were shown to AFP during a rare interview at his office in the basement of a seminary in Manila.

Syquia believes he is in the frontline of the battle between good and evil on earth.

“There is a great dramatic increase of possessions right now,” said the 44-year-old priest. “More and more the demons are gaining a foothold into this society.”

While non-believers often joke about the devil, and demonic possessions are trivialized by Hollywood, Syquia insisted the torment suffered by those he had healed was real.

“I have seen scratches suddenly appearing on their skin, of inverted crosses on the forehead. These persons would be conscious at the time, and they tell me its like razor cutting from the inside of the skin,” he said.

Demons could manifest themselves in many ways and could enter the human soul through occult and New Age teachings that were becoming increasingly popular in the general community, Syquia said.

My Comment:

Demons are of satan and will continue to torment people until Christ comes.

I want to state it is not “Mary” whom the Catholic church believes in who can cast out demons. She was a sinner like us all.

It is Jesus Christ who died on the cross for our sins, rose, and comes very soon, who casts out demons.

James 2:19

You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.

Demons and satan know perfectly well who is God, and even they shudder and leave when your rebuke them in the name of Jesus Christ.

Mark 16:16-18

Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

The above Bible verse tells us exactly what we can do, believing in Jesus Christ Our Savior, only in Him.  Believe in Him, Christ who comes soon, completely trusting in him, and everything over onto his hands.

Pope express shock over “priestly perversion” in his own Church

“It is hard to understand” how someone can “fall into this perversion”

The present head of the Vatican and the head of the Church of England met today for the first time.

The Pope has for the first time ever labeled sexual abuse of Catholic Children as a perversion. According to the Catholic News Agency (CNA), this is what the Pope said in his first speech on British soil, in the city Edinburgh.

“First of all,” said the Pope, “I must say that these revelations were a shock for me, they are a great sadness. It’s difficult to understand how these perversions of the priestly ministry were possible.”

He said that it is “hard to understand” how someone can “fall into this perversion” after years of priestly preparation and despite having agreed to be Christ’s “voice, His mouth, His hand” at his ordination.

It is, he repeated, a “great sadness.”

My comment:

This Papal excuse of the existing perversion inside the Roman Catholic Priesthood can not be accepted.

Because the error lies with the Papacy it self.

The Pope is supposed to be infallible in questions of moral and understanding of the scripture. Still he has banned Catholic priests from marrying.

And since the Pope admits that there are perverts ordained by Catholic Bishops, it is time to stop calling these Bishops for “holy fathers”. This label on priest and bishops is another perversion of the gospel.

The Roman Catholic doctrine of the infallible Pope is also pure non sense. Maybe we are approaching a season where the “Holy Roman Catholic Church” has to admit that the Pope him self, has betrayed Catholic children, their Messiah, and His teachings?

Irish Presbyterian Moderator refuses to shake the Pope’s hand

The leader of the largest Protestant church in Northern Ireland has refused to shake the Pope’s hand.

Ian Hamilton is not comfortable shaking the hands of a man many protestant feel is an antichrist.

The Presbyterian Moderator, Dr Norman Hamilton, plans to go to a service in Westminster on Friday, attended by the Pope and the Archbishop of Canterbury.

But Dr Hamilton said he turned down the opportunity to be presented to the Pope after the service because of “troubling issues” which needed to be addressed.

He insisted his decision was not a snub to Catholics or Pope Benedict XVI.

He said he had changed his plans in order to accept an invitation to attend Friday’s ceremony because he wanted to show “proper respect to the Roman Catholic people of Ireland and their leader”.

However, the moderator said he had declined the opportunity to be presented to the Pope or to shake his hand after the service because there were a number of issues which needed “substantive discussion back in Ireland”.

“There appear to be troubling differences between us on how we deal with the past,” he said.

“Colleagues of mine are picking up pastoral issues within the Catholic Church, where Catholic families are coming to them asking for pastoral help, sometimes in the most difficult of circumstances, because they do not want Catholic clergy to deal with them in light of the abuse scandals.”

He added he hoped people would understand that he was in “difficult circumstances, where there were all sorts of conflicting pressures”.

Dr Hamilton was elected as the moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland in March.

The 63-year-old became a significant public figure as a result of his mediation work in the Holy Cross dispute in north Belfast in 2001.

My comment:

The Protestant Church of Norther Ireland is the Church in Europe that know what Roman Catholics are capable of doing. Roman Catholics created and supported the IRA.

In 1988 Ian Paisley told the late pope who he is. Today few leaders have the same guts.

Ian Paisley is the founding member and past moderator of the Free Presbyterian Church of Ulster.

In 1988, when Pope John Paul II delivered a speech to the European Parliament, Paisley shouted “I Denounce you as the antichrist!” and held up a red poster reading “Pope John Paul II ANTICHRIST” in black letters. John Paul continued with his address after Paisley was ejected from the hemicycle by fellow MEPs.

Shocked about how Catholic Church hid sex abuses

“I am shocked that the extent of the abuse in the church should have remained hidden for so long”.

Former Cabinet Minister Wim Deetman is shocked of how the "Church" has hid its crimes.

This is a statement by former Dutch cabinet minister Wim Deetman. He heads the inquiry of sex abuse by Catholic priests is the Netherlands. More than 900 victims of sexual abuse in the Roman Catholic Church in the Netherlands have so far reported.

“Some perpetrators have also confessed”, Mr Deetman told Dutch daily de Volkskrant, although he has not yet had contact with them.

However, most of the cases of abuse took place so long ago they will no longer be liable to prosecution. Mr Deetman called on other abusers to come forward to try to make up for the harm they have caused.

Who knew what, and when? Cardinal Adrian Simonis, head of the Dutch Catholic Church.

The Christian Democrat statesman, appointed by the Catholic Church in May to head the inquiry into the sex abuse scandal, says that not all the victims are interested in receiving financial compensation.

“There are victims who only want to tell their story and have it investigated. There are many people who want help and guidance,” he said.

Two or three large meetings with victims are to be held in the coming months, Mr Deetman said, stressing that the inquiry would be listening to the victims, not merely providing information.

The inquiry also plans to establish an alternative channel to provide support for victims that is independent of the church’s own institute to investigate the abuse, Hulp & Recht (Help & Justice).

“Many victims have no confidence in Hulp & Recht,” he observed.  He has receive e-mails from victims in their 60s saying it was the first time they had told anyone about their experiences.
