The Messiah proves who are His by using His power to support His people. Just like He did when Israel was formed in 1948.

Through World history God of the Bible has been an active player. His people have been supported by His power. Many people claim to be sons of God, let them be Jews or Christians. But they follow an inactive and rather powerless version, a copy of God the Almighty.

One of the great deceptions within the claimed to be Christian faith is even base for a systematic theology. By doctrine «Jesus» is presented as the New Testament version of God. A rather mild and kind «god», very different from what they claim is the «Old Testament» God. These religious teachers do not talk and teach much from neither the Law of Moses nor the Prophets. If they do, their teaching is twisted to suit their modern day «messiah». They have read about the Lamb of God, and claim to know Him. But they do not know Him as the Lion and the Lamb, the active and omnipotent God of Israel.

Lets take a deeper look at the rebellion against Moses in Sinai. How Paul the Apostle got approval for his apostleship. And finally how Peter dealt with a couple who lied to the Holy Spirit.

Numbers 16:5
Then he said to Korah and all his followers: “In the morning the Lord will show who belongs to him and who is holy, and he will have that person come near him. The man he chooses he will cause to come near him.

In the rebellion of Korah, some fellow Israelis challenged the leadership of Moses. God of the Exodus terminated then.

Numbers 14:18
‘The Lord is slow to anger, abounding in love and forgiving sin and rebellion. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation.’

Paul the Apostle faced position to his New Covenant call as apostle. The did not present a «nice and kind» Messiah to the public. But rather a powerful and active God.

1 Corinthians 2:4
My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power.

Paul issued a stern warning, that there would be claimed followers of the Messiah, who were false and deceitful workers. Paul spoke about a terrible end for such «super apostles».

2 Corinthians 11: 13-15
For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.

Paul did not wish his enemies well, a long life and success. He warned the flock against such men, and even cursed them.

Galatians 1: 8-9.

But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse.  As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse!

The «Santa Claus» version of the Messiah is surely very populare. He is most known, worshiped and adored as «Jesus». But he falls short in any critical test against scripture. Yes, It is true that the Messiah has fulfilled the Law when He died on the cross. In particular the Law who requires blood as atonement for sins. Surely Yeshua the Messiah paid the price we all deserve. Therefor we do not have to pay for our sins with our own blood or blood of animals. But the Messiah did not do away with the 10 commandments, biblical festivals and the moral codex. The best examples of this is the brutal and sudden death of Ananias and his wife Sapphira. They lied to the Holy Spirit, read: God, surely a betrayal. Peter the apostle had received the divine power and authority to terminate their life.

Act 5: 3-6

Then Peter said, “Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land? Didn’t it belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, wasn’t the money at your disposal? What made you think of doing such a thing? You have not lied just to human beings but to God.”  When Ananias heard this, he fell down and died. And great fear seized all who heard what had happened. Then some young men came forward, wrapped up his body, and carried him out and buried him.

If you face a dispute between two Christian leaders who bid for the same post, ask them simply to display what kind of power they have received. God will approve who are His candidate. Do not follow powerless Messianic leaders. They count for nothing in the Kingdom of God.
