Josef married an Egyptian. Moses took a Cushite as his wife. There seems to be no pure Jewish bloodline. Most of the followers of YA in ancient Persia and Israel seems to have been proselytes.

Moses wedded a woman from Cush, an African. His three sons being of a mixed background.

The land of Canaan was giftet to the 12 tribes of Israel, all sons of patriarch Jacob. But his sons started to fall in love with foreign women. By marrying outside of the tribes, already in ancient times there was no pure bloodline. Already in Egypt 1.800 B.C, Josef son of Jacob took an Egyptian as his wife. Asenath, the daughter of Potiphera, priest of On. The sons of Josef, Ephraim and Menasse were raised in Egypt by a daughter of the soil.

Moses came from the tribe of Levi, one of the 12 sons of Jacob. But the Hebrew leader during the Exodus married a woman from Cush. That is upper Egypt or Nubia. She was an African. Moses drew criticism from his siblings Aroon and Miriam because of his choice of life partner.

Numbers 12:1
Miriam and Aaron began to talk against Moses because of his Cushite wife, for he had married a Cushite.

It could be argued that Josef had been betrayed by his own Hebrew brothers. Being elevated to the highest political post in Egypt, it was but natural that he married an Egyptian woman. Moses had not yet received the Law (Torah) on Mt. Sinai, which can explain his marriage outside of Israeli tribal community. But also after the entry to the promised land, the sons of Israel continue to marry foreign women. Like Boaz wedding Ruth from Moab, to become the Great Grandmother of King David.

By and large, we have to conclude that the worship of the great I am (YA) was a regional affair. Not an internal family matter. There are multiple examples of massive revivals that included large groups of proselytes. Those, who like Ruth, accepted God of Israel as their God. Some of the greatest revivals took place in Persia around 500-400 B.C. In particular during the reign of Queen Esther in Susa. The victory of the young beauty Hadassah from the tribe of Benjamin moved the Persians. Keep in mind that the true and living God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The great Elohim. In Hebrew, plural for God.

Esther 8:17
In every province and in every city to which the edict of the king came, there was joy and gladness among the Jews, with feasting and celebrating. And many people of other nationalities became Jews because fear of the Jews had seized them.

Ezra 1:2
“This is what Cyrus king of Persia says: “‘The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth and he has appointed me to build a temple for him at Jerusalem in Judah.

What does this mean for todays Messianic movement?

John 4:22
You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews.

Not being able to identify a pure Jewish bloodline, we all are proselytes. We have accepted that salvations comes from the Jews, and that only the blood of the Messiah can save us. And His blood, the only remedy that can be used for the forgiveness of sins. His blood shed at Calvary Hill once and for all, 2.000 years ago. Any Messiah that do not recognises the enlarged commonwealth of Israel, is a copycat. A false Messiah.
