SYDNEY (Reuters) – Australia formally recognises West Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, reversing decades of Middle East policy, but will not move its embassy there immediately, Prime Minister Scott Morrison said on Saturday.
“Australia now recognises West Jerusalem, being the seat of the Knesset and many of the institutions of government, is the capital of Israel,” Morrison said.
“We look forward to moving our embassy to West Jerusalem when practical,” he told reporters in Sydney.
Morrison also confirmed Australia’s support for a two-state solution with a Palestinian capital in East Jerusalem.

Why do Australia not declare West-Berlin as the capital of Germany? And let the East part become the capital of a Turkish caliphate in Europe?
The Australian government has not come up with something new. This is the old United Nation’s plan to divide Jerusalem, and make the “holy basin” a protected area under UN administration. In the 1990-ties US President Bill Clinton tried to negotiate a “peace deal” along what was called the “Clinton parameters”.
The Bible says that Jerusalem is the city of Jewish King David. This city is mentioned 815 times in New King James bible translation. Australia and Muslim nations wants Israel to surrender the Eastern part of Jerusalem to the forces of Islam. And let Muslims make Eastern Jerusalem capital of a Muslim controlled “Palestine”. Since the city of Jerusalem is not mentioned a single time in the Koran, such a surrender to Islamic demands must be consider a bid to commit a daylight robbery.
I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent.
And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it.
Let Australia continue to have their embassy in Tel Aviv. And Jerusalem remain liberated, free and the capital of one nation, the state of Israel. The city of which the Messiah will return to His own people.
