The Great Accuser is trying to uncover bishops’ sins in order to scandalise the people, Pope Francis has said.

In a homily at Casa Santa Marta on Tuesday morning, the Pope told bishops that they seem to be under attack from the devil.
The best way for bishops to fight this, he added, is by being men of prayer who remain close to the people and who have the humhttp://catholicherald.co.uk/news/2018/09/11/pope-francis-the-great-accuser-is-trying-to-uncover-sins-to-cause-scandal/ility to remember they were chosen by God, Vatican News reports.
The Pope said that prayer is “a bishop’s consolation in difficult times,” because “Jesus is praying for me and for all bishops.”
Referring to the devil, Pope Francis said: “In these times, it seems like the Great Accuser has been unchained and is attacking bishops.”
“True, we are all sinners, we bishops,” he added. “He tries to uncover the sins, so they are visible in order to scandalize the people.

My comment:
The Pope in Rome is under pressure to resign. The Argentinian cardinal turned “Pope Francis” do not want to repent. The Bishop of Rome has been accused by his ambassador in Washington D.C, of covering up for the sexual crimes of a Cardinal, for more than a decade.
The Pope calls for calm, and reminds his faithful that the bishops are holy. “Remember they were chosen by God”,
The Bishops in the Roman Catholic Church are selected, elevated and appointed by the Pope. Since the pontiff is branded infallible in questions of right morally is called the “Holy Father” and the Vicar of Christ, the replacement of the Messiah on Earth, we can only conclude that the Pope equals him self to God.. That is heresy, utter blasphemy, and surely the key to the problem.
The truth is: The Pope is not “Holy Father”. This is the name by which Jesus called His father in Heaven. The Bible says we have Only One Spiritual Father, our Father in Heaven.
The truth is: The Pope is not the Vicar of Christ, the replacement of the Messiah on Earth. The Holy Sprit is His only replacement. To claim otherwise is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, a sin that will never be forgiven.A 100 our cent sure way towards the gates of Hell.
For all Evangelical Christians who still include the Roman Catholic Church into the Christian family: A stern warning: Do not participate in the crimes of Rome, nor try to withe wash them. The Pope is the leader of a cult. It is a dangerous now, because this religious movement misuse and defame the name of Jesus. We are talking of the enemies of the gospel.
Repent, and please remember. I loved you enough to warn you.
May Jesus the Messiah have mercy on the soul of all men.

Are they kidding? It was not the people that raped little children, it was you Jorge M. Bergoglio and your leaders which you chose, and the ones in which you hide! What a disgusting nasty man you are Jorge M. Bergoglio! “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption (death) but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.” Galatians 6:7&8 Further: “But though we, or an angel from heaven , preach any other gospel to you than that which we have peached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.” Galatians 1:8&9. Jesus says …..Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.” Rev. 18:4b-5.
Dear Nannette.

Thanks for your comment. I am convinced that any person accepting the doctrines related to the authorities of the papacy, have comitted sin against the Holy Spirit. This is catastropic. This is a sin that will never be forgiven. Many Protestant leaders have been taken down the broad path towards destruction, by their acceptance of the infallible pope, a betrayal of the gospel.
Reblogged this on KNOWING THE TIME, because what's coming matters.
Dear Ivar you might be right, look at how many lives they are taking to hell with them. The greatest sin is rejecting Jesus (who is God) payment for sin. ‘He that believeth on Him is not condemned; but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation that light is come into the world, and men loved DARKNESS rather than light, because their DEEDS WERE EVIL. John 3:18-19. The Catholic Church condemns the gospel of the Bible (1 Cor. 15:1-4, John 3:16), and it’s obvious they have no righteousness of their own its all over the news! But because men are sinners and don’t believe in condemnation because of their own sinful behavior they ‘judge not’-which is popular today, even to the point of not putting to death murderers instead we pay for them to live nicely all their lives in prisons such as in America for only 5 to 20 years. Many, many people say, “I don’t care what you do so long as you don’t push it on me.” Many Blessings!
Dear Nannette.
Shalom and love in Jesus.
The great danger of the Roman Catholic Church, is the copy-cat Messiah they preach. A “Jesus” who has given the Pope authority to replace Him on Earth. This is the mother of all lies. Still, a billion people or so, are not willing to believe what is written in the Bible about this matter. There was a lady who told me some few days ago. “We have to try to snatch people out of the fire, try to resque as many souls as possible”. Yes: The true Churh of Jesus the Messiah has always been a resque mission on Earth.
Thank you for this post!
I shared it on my blog I hope you didn’t mind!

Pope Francis said: “In these times, it seems like the Great Accuser has been unchained and is attacking bishops.”
My Comment: the pope is obviously not well versed in God’s Word. I also believe this statement is more evidence he is an anti-christ. God’s Word states as nannette posted in John 3:18-19 that sins are revealed in the light. Jesus said he is the light. I stop here to show that the pope is twisting the truth. If Jesus is the light and sins are exposed in the light, then why would he say Satan is exposing sin? Is he showing the truth of his belief that Satan is the light? Second it is the Holy Spirit that convicts sin in a person and brings them to repentance. Again is this showing the pope does not have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit to understand he and his bishops have not been convicted of these sins and also assist in covering them up?
Thanks for this coment, Jo. May Jesus bless you.
You stated: “the pope is obviously not well versed in God’s Word. I also believe this statement is more evidence he is an anti-christ.”
Can you please provide the citation in the Bible – Book, Chapter, & Verse, where the Pope is explicitly called an/the antichrist? It is my understanding that if something isn’t literally & explicitly so cited in Scripture, then it’s unScriptural. With that in mind, please provide your evidence.

Pope Francis is a native of Argentina, & English is not his first language. I’m purely speculating here, but I would venture to say that what he means to say is that Satan is using the sin of others to scandalize the flock. It’s not in any way to imply he’s trying to bring sin into the open to bring people to repentance, but rather, he’s using it as an opportunity to propagate more evil – basically wanting the Church to implode – attacking it from within by weakening the faith of others. Like striking the shepherd so the sheep will scatter…
People outside the Church don’t have the same view of scandal as those in the Church do: here is more on the matter to clarify from the CCC:

“2284 Scandal is an attitude or behavior which leads another to do evil. the person who gives scandal becomes his neighbor’s tempter. He damages virtue and integrity; he may even draw his brother into spiritual death. Scandal is a grave offense if by deed or omission another is deliberately led into a grave offense.
2285 Scandal takes on a particular gravity by reason of the authority of those who cause it or the weakness of those who are scandalized. It prompted our Lord to utter this curse: “Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened round his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.”85 Scandal is grave when given by those who by nature or office are obliged to teach and educate others. Jesus reproaches the scribes and Pharisees on this account: he likens them to wolves in sheep’s clothing.86
2286 Scandal can be provoked by laws or institutions, by fashion or opinion.
Therefore, they are guilty of scandal who establish laws or social structures leading to the decline of morals and the corruption of religious practice, or to “social conditions that, intentionally or not, make Christian conduct and obedience to the Commandments difficult and practically impossible.”87 This is also true of business leaders who make rules encouraging fraud, teachers who provoke their children to anger,88 or manipulators of public opinion who turn it away from moral values.
2287 Anyone who uses the power at his disposal in such a way that it leads others to do wrong becomes guilty of scandal and responsible for the evil that he has directly or indirectly encouraged. “Temptations to sin are sure to come; but woe to him by whom they come!”89”
I would extend him a little grace in his language abilities as I have done in reading some of these articles online.

No one would like to get to the heart of the matter on this topic as much as the faithful do. There are those who’ve been convicted, & those who haven’t. I can’t comment on the Pope’s involvement because I honestly do not know – although appearances don’t look good. God knows. That said, it’s not as if such things – such times of testing wouldn’t arise within the Body of Christ:
From 2 Peter 2 KJV (BibleHub):
1 But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves.
2 Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute.
3 In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.
Fr. Altier had given a homily on all that’s been going on in the Church dated 19 Aug 2018. I think it’s worth hearing (NOTE: Parental discretion is advised for subject matter because it does address homosexuality in the Church)…:

I do not have to “provide the citation in the Bible – Book, Chapter, & Verse, where the Pope is explicitly called an/the antichrist” because the lower case a in “anti-christ” is not one person but are many throughout history and present day. They are anyone who preaches another Jesus as the RCC does.
I do not have to cite anything explicitly about the “pope” because he is NEVER mentioned in God’s Word. Paul was not being spoken directly when Jesus said “and you are Cephus (meaning small rock), and upon this rock (meaning a large cornerstone- Jesus is often called the Cornerstone in other scripture) I will build my Church.” So the fact is there is no vicar of Christ on this earth today. The Holy Spirit is the person of God who dwells among us and in the believers. The pope is a short name for Pontiff Maximus or transliterated chief of rhe pagan priests. The pope therefore IS one of the many lower anti-christs leading people away from Jesus.
* correction * I got carried away and need to replace “Paul” with “Peter” in my above comment.
@Jo

Since you claim we must take a literal interpretation of Scripture, yes, you do. Please cite where the Pope is explicitly named as an/the antichrist in Scripture – Book, Chapter, & Verse. Most Protestants make the claim that this accusation is in the Scriptures, so please show us where this is explicitly written supporting this claim.

This is from the BibleHub Website from Strong’s Concordance on 1 ab: father
Original Word: אָב
Part of Speech: Noun Masculine
Transliteration: ab
Phonetic Spelling: (awb)
Definition: father
On the section below regarding Brown-Driver-Briggs, here is what it states:
8 term of respect & honour(Abbas, Pater, Papa, Pope); applied to master 2 Kings 5:13; priest Judges 17:10; Judges 18:19; prophet 2 Kings 2:12 (twice in verse); 2 Kings 6:21; 2 Kings 13:14 (twice in verse); compare 2 Kings 8:9; counsellor Genesis 45:8(E; compare δευτέρου πατρός ᵐ5add. Esther 3:13; τῷ πατρί1Mac Esth 11:32); king 1 Samuel 24:12; artificer 2Chron 2:12; 2 Chronicles 4:16.
Please provide valid historical supporting your claim about the meaning of “Pope” because the above Biblical reference refutes that claim.
It is not Jesus Who is being referenced in Matthew 16 NIV (BibleHub), but rather St. Peter:
16Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
17Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.
18And I tell you that you are Peter, b and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades c will not overcome it.
19I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be d bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be e loosed in heaven.”
Here the Lord gives the keys to the Kingdom of heaven. Peter (Kepha, Cephas) is “rock”. In Aramaic, it would be “You are Rock, & on this rock…” In the Greek, they ran into a translation issue because you can’t use a feminine noun for a man’s name. It would be no different than in Spanish: “Tu eres Pedro, y sobre esta piedra…” The important thing to note is that in making the reference to the keys, Jesus is quoting from Isaiah 22 NIV (BibleHub):
15This is what the Lord, the Lord Almighty, says: “Go, say to this steward, to Shebna the palace administrator:
16What are you doing here and who gave you permission to cut out a grave for yourself here, hewing your grave on the height and chiseling your resting place in the rock?
17“Beware, the Lord is about to take firm hold of you and hurl you away, you mighty man.
18He will roll you up tightly like a ball and throw you into a large country. There you will die and there the chariots you were so proud of will become a disgrace to your master’s house.
19I will depose you from your office, and you will be ousted from your position.
20“In that day I will summon my servant, Eliakim son of Hilkiah.
21I will clothe him with your robe and fasten your sash around him and hand your authority over to him. He will be a father to those who live in Jerusalem and to the people of Judah.
22I will place on his shoulder the key to the house of David; what he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open.
23I will drive him like a peg into a firm place; he will become a seat a of honor for the house of his father.
24All the glory of his family will hang on him: its offspring and offshoots—all its lesser vessels, from the bowls to all the jars.
25“In that day,” declares the Lord Almighty, “the peg driven into the firm place will give way; it will be sheared off and will fall, and the load hanging on it will be cut down.” The Lord has spoken.
Unless you mean that Our Lord is the Chief Administrator/Steward of God’s Household (the Church) – one holding an office of great authority, your case would stand, but it doesn’t. There is a difference in He Who holds the keys & he to whom the keys are entrusted & is given great authority.
