The dawn over the British Virgin Islands (BVI) brought with it the final blows of Hurricane Maria – the second category 5 hurricane to assault the islands in two weeks.
Winds of 50 to 60mph still whipped up the steep slopes and waves continued to batter the islands’ southern shores after another night of hurricane-force winds.
And as day broke on Wednesday, residents of the tiny British territory were left considering a fresh round of destruction.

“Irma did a lot of damage but, for me, Maria finished the job,” said Karon Brown, 29, a resident of Great Mountain on the island of Tortola.
“We already had flooding inside the house and lost most of our possessions in Irma. Before Maria came, we boarded the house up and tried to secure what remained. But Maria just ripped it all off – damaged the building more and destroyed most of what was left.”

My comment:

The Banana republics of the Caribbean sea have always been a place where illicit and stolen money have been spent on parties. It is nevertheless sad to see the total devastation of townships and cabin cruisers.

The Bible is crystal clear that there will be extreme weather, increase in earthquakes and calamities as we approach the second coming of the Messiah.
The whole creation will face this final days of the age of grace, and tremble.

Matthew 24: 4-8

Jesus answered: ‘Watch out that no one deceives you.  For many will come in my name, claiming, “I am the Messiah,” and will deceive many.  You will hear of wars and rumours of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.  Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.  All these are the beginning of birth-pains.

The problem is that most men are to blinded, to be able to understand. They do not live under the authority of Biblical truth. The Word of God is disregarded as a fairy tale, and ridiculed. Man would rather listen to the wisdom of men, and believe that “the environment lobby” can save mankind.

From here it will only get worse. Do not listen to false prophets and priests, who proclaim renewed “peace and glory”.

Book of Revealtion chapter 9: 1-6

The fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from the sky to the earth. The star was given the key to the shaft of the Abyss. When he opened the Abyss, smoke rose from it like the smoke from a gigantic furnace. The sun and sky were darkened by the smoke from the Abyss. And out of the smoke locusts came down on the earth and were given power like that of scorpions of the earth. They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads. They were not allowed to kill them but only to torture them for five months. And the agony they suffered was like that of the sting of a scorpion when it strikes.  During those days people will seek death but will not find it; they will long to die, but death will elude them.

Be wise. Open your bible, and listen. There is only one name. Jesus the Messiah. He is the only savior of mankind. The king of kings, God almighty, became a man. In Jerusalem He took your place on the cross. Your sins are paid for. You are free man. Use your freedom to follow Him.
