Blair guilty of creating a monster in Iraq

Tony Blair has finally said sorry for the Iraq War – and admitted he could be partly to blame for the rise of Islamic State.

The extraordinary confession by the former Prime Minister comes after 12 years in which he refused to apologise for the conflict. Blair makes his dramatic ‘mea culpa’ during a TV interview about the ‘hell’ caused by his and George Bush’s decision to oust Saddam Hussein.

In the exchange, Blair repeatedly says sorry for his conduct and even refers to claims that the invasion was a war ‘crime’ – while denying he committed one.

Blair is asked bluntly in the CNN interview, to be broadcast today: ‘Was the Iraq War a mistake?’ He replies: ‘I apologise for the fact that the intelligence we received was wrong. ‘I also apologise for some of the mistakes in planning and, certainly, our mistake in our understanding of what would happen once you removed the regime.’

Challenged that the Iraq War was ‘the principal cause’ of the rise of Islamic State, he said: ‘I think there are elements of truth in that. “Of course you can’t say those of us who removed Saddam in 2003 bear no responsibility for the situation in 2015.’

In the ‘trial by TV’, respected US political broadcaster Fareed Zakaria accuses him of being President Bush’s ‘poodle’ over the conflict. Blair’s confession comes a week after The Mail on Sunday published a bombshell White House memo revealing for the first time how Blair and Bush agreed a ‘deal in blood’ a year before the invasion.

My comment:

The apology from papist Tony Blair is pathetic. It is patetic, because Blair was warned in advance of his folishness.  Also by the United Nations weapons inspector Hans Blix.

Mr. Blair’s “sorry” will lead to nothing. I might be wrong. If I am, I promise to eat my hat. Let me just see Blair being arrested and put for trial at the war crimes tribunal in the Haag. Than let the UK Government pay 200 billion UK Pounds in compensation to the Iraq people who have lost their loves once and their properties.

This is the verdict: light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.

The endless US and UK wars in the Middle East has radicalized the Muslim world. Any child above the age of ten could have reached this conclusion by simply implying a base minimum of common sense. The US started the carnage in the region, by arming the Taliban in the 1980-ties. After Obama came to power, the ongoing mismanagement has reached catastrophic heights. Two trillion USD has been wasted. The Pentagon has added gasoline on almost every flame accross the Muslim world.

Jesus the Messiah has warned us about the apocalyptic chaos that will be created by men like Tony Blair. This servant of the Pope in Rome has blood on his hands. The only thing we can do is to pray for Blair’s soul. May he spend some years behind bars, where he will find amplified time to preach the gospel to his inmates.
