Iran: The Pope powerful with divine help

In early 2014, Iran’s ambassador to the Holy See called Francis “a virtuous figure…brimming with morality and modesty, and the Iranian people expect him to resist oppressors and the powerful, with divine help, just like Jesus Christ.”

Iran, too, expressed admiration for the way the pope headed off airstrikes in Syria. In early 2014, Iran’s ambassador to the Holy See called Francis “a virtuous figure…brimming with morality and modesty, and the Iranian people expect him to resist oppressors and the powerful, with divine help, just like Jesus Christ.”

In Syria, Christians have largely survived under the protection of the Syrian Army. Those outside Damascus have been persecuted by the Islamic State (also known as ISIS) and by various militias trying to topple Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. It is no wonder that they feel their survival rests on keeping Assad in power.

As Aleppo’s Melkite Greek Catholic Archbishop Jean-Clément Jeanbart explained to the BBC in October,

“For the time being, if Assad goes now, there is fear that everything may collapse and there will be something terrible everywhere in the country.” Jeanbart’s view reflects the Vatican’s sentiments on Assad, too; it understands that Russia and Iran are critical actors in not only resolving the ongoing war, but also securing the faith’s regional survival.

The Holy See’s ties with Russia are stronger than ever and Rome and Tehran’s 30 years of quiet engagement has deepened over the last two years to the point that Vatican experts refer to a “Shiite option” when discussing papal diplomacy. Today, Iranians can even read Saint Augustine’s Confessions and the Catechism of the Catholic Church in Farsi—the product of a 12-year translation effort by Iranian scholars.

My comment:

To all who believe that Catholicism and Islam are two opposite faiths, please rethink. The Pope is presented as a “peacemaker” also among Muslim leaders. The leaders of the Islamic republic of Iran acknowledges, that the “Holy see” seems to be the only religious leader who can bring an end to the civil war between sunni and shia Muslims.

As diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran breaks down, the Vatican will shine as the ultimate solution. The Pope have both a Saudi and an Iranian ambassador in his court.  A “peace treaty” between Riyadh and Tehran can be broken by the Pontiff, and the Pope presented as the “prince of peace” in the Islamic World.

Behold: There will be a false peace deal done, before the true Prince of peace returns. The Pope is the ultimate deceiver, and the “holy see” will be elevated by all nations.

May Jesus the Messiah have mercy on all deceived souls.
