US Christian Churches under constant attacks

The Christian churches in the USA are under constant attack, but ignored by major media, government.

Christian churches in the US are constantly under attack, but the US government, politicians and major media ignore them while focusing on such incidents in India and elsewhere.

A survey of local media for a random period of a month between Thanksgiving Day, November 26, and Christmas that was conducted by IANS found that there were reports of at least 45 attacks on Christian churches, ranging from beheading or removal of sacred statues to shooting at churches. Except for five, none of these made it into the major national media. The New York Times covered only a string of attacks on five nativity scenes around Christmas time. The nativity scenes display statues showing the birth of Jesus in a farmshed for animals after his parents could not find a place in Bethlehem’s inns.

“The American media do not cover vandalism in Christian churches the way they do vandalism in Islamic mosques,” William Donohue, the president of the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights, said.

“Much of the bias is a function of political correctness: there is more sensitivity in the media to anti-Muslim bigotry than there is to anti-Christian bigotry. This is also the fruit of multiculturalism in the schools where Islam is elevated and Christianity is denigrated.”

While the incidents during the period were confined to property damages, in two cases the attacks took on an ominous turn. In Tennessee, two churches were shot at during the Thanksgiving weekend. No one was injured but the buildings’ windows were damaged.

The victimised churches belonged to various denominations like the Roman Catholic, dissident Catholic, mainstream Protestant and Fundamentalist, and racially diverse with some predominantly black and others white.

According to the local media reports surveyed by IANS, the motives for the attacks varied widely. They ranged from inter-church theological differences and racism to opposition to Christianity by Satanic and anarchistic cults and straightforward criminality.

“Unfortunately we know that a lot of people don’t hold much stock in religion anymore and the practice of it.” Monsignor Joseph Rauscher, a Catholic priest told a local TV station in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. In an attack on his church a statue of the Virgin Mary was toppled Dec 22.

The US-based Universal Society of Hinduism has condemned the attacks on the Christian churches. “We strongly condemn attacks on worship places of any religion/denomination,” Rajan Zed, the organisation’s president said. “Symbols of any faith, larger or smaller, should not be mishandled.”

He added, “Peace and love lies at the heart of all religions. Despite our seriously different traditions, we should learn to live together in harmony, mutual loyalty and trust.”

Religious statues, which Christian fundamentalists consider to be idolatry, were targeted at Catholic churches. At the St Agnes Church in the heart of Manhattan near the Grand Central Station a statue of the saint that had been decapitated earlier was covered with a black garbage bag. “It looks like she is in a body bag after being decapitated,” a worshiper quoted by the New York Post said.

In Livonia in Michigan state, the statue of a saint was damaged and the slogan, “Rome will fall” – a slogan of Fundamentalist opposition to Roman Catholicism, was painted at the site.

Vandalism at some Catholic, Protestant and Christian fundamentalist churches seemed to be the work of cults of devil-worshipers. In Glassboro, New Jersey, two mainstream Protestant and a Fundamentalist churches had their properties defaced with “666,” the sign of the Satan, and upside-down cross, a symbol of devil worshipers.

In Lynwood, California, the arms of statues of saints were cut off and “666” painted at a Catholic church and the same symbol was also painted on a dissident Catholic church in New Jersey.

Someone spray-painted “Whos (sic) God!?” on the doors of the First Baptist Church in Moody, Alabama. In a rare response to attacks on churches, Alabama state had introduced in July jail terms for repeat offenders.

In at least five of the incidents in the survey, banners or signs declaring, “Black lives matter,” a reaction to police shooting of African Americans, were damaged or removed from churches, both predominantly black or white.

Among Christians racism is a problem that prompted the late Martin Luther King to say that “the most segregated hour of Christian America is eleven o’clock on Sunday morning” when churches hold their worship services. A gauge of the deep divide was in June – outside the period surveyed – when a white man killed nine people at an African American church in South Carolina. And in October, seven black churches were set fire in Missouri.

My comment:

I cant blame the Indian media, not understanding the difference between Catholicism and Christianity. Many Hindus claims they love “Jesus” too, as one of their gods.

Both Hindus and Catholics have the right to worship their idols, regardless of this being Biblical or not.

The alarming part is the Obama Administration ignoring such attacks, and the US media not being willing to give them coverage. That is an outright betrayal.  Truly the USA had a very high number of Evangelical Christians, when the nation was founded in 1776 A.D. Today, most American ‘s believe in consumerism, and love money more than anything.

The US Supreme Court, with its majority of Roman Catholic judges, has legalized gay marriages, and enforced pastors to wed and bless what God of the Bible calls abomination and sin.

James 4:4
You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.

Jesus the Messiah said that friendship with the World, will lead to hostility towards God.  What we see in the US today, must be a good example. Most of the resources of the USA is used in the shopping malls, or in Donald Trump’s casino’s.  The enemies of God who misuse the name of “Christ” will face stern judgment.
Repent or perish.

  1. Blowback from the media incessantly preaching religion as the cause of all problems in the world. But perhaps the hypocrites don’t cause any reason to believe otherwise. And if someone is religious and not a hypocrite what do they have to fear?

  2. Interesting that the Apostasy has not been in the subject matter. Since when are Catholic’s “Christian”? Since when did the Evangelical camp become crazy dog barkers, and have come back to Rome? What do we expect? The church is a laughing stock because of this craziness. Just watch Christian TV in the United States, it should make one vomit! “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot. I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou are wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.” Rev. 3:15-17. Preach the Word! That is how! The photo speaks a thousand words to me. “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows houses, and for a pretence make long prayer. Therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.” Matt. 23:14. The photo above showing Ted Cruz republican candidate, Rev. Rob Schenck, Rev Frazier White. The affliations are interdenominational. The National Community Church, Assemblies of God and Willow Creek (Bill Hybles). The interdenominational speakers at Willow Creek include: T.D. Jakes, Rick Warren, Bono, Jimmy Carter, Chuck Colson, Tony Blair, Susan Cain, ~speakers at the Global Leadership Summit. We also have R. Ernest Castillo V.P. of multiligual ministers of the SDA Church, and more! How lovely

    1. Dear Nannette.

      Shalom, and love in Jesus.

It is sometimes very informative to watch RT.com, Russian English TV. If you for a second can overlook their bias against America, listen to people you never see on Western TV. RT.com give true Christians a voice.

Like a Christians lady, who made a Roman Catholoc bishop mum on live TV. She said: “The problem is not ISIL. The problem is the West, who have left Christianity for all kind of idolatry in the name of Christ. The fruit is an apostate and liberal culture, who have no spiritual strenght to stand up against Islam”.

Even the news ancor, for a few second, did not know what to reply!…

  3. More like the government has no will to destroy ISIL. The media pokes around the truth in a lot of ways, the more they do the more confusion they create. In all the confusion, finger pointing and arguing it becomes easiest for people to just accept the official lies. But 9/11 was an inside job, and more than likely ISIL is still around because they want ISIL around. Don’t get caught in the crossfire.

    1. Dear Edward

      Shalom, and love in Jesus.

9/11 was an attack on the USA, done by Saudi Arabian nationals, funded by rich Arabian oil tycons. The Islamic kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the main ally of Pentagon in the Middle East. And W Bush, who have recived an Islamic medal by the King of the Saudis, trigger a new war in Afghanistan and Iraq. In this sence, 9/11 was a job that made the USA a puppet for islamic terroism. Obama has just followed in the foot steps of W.Bush.

  4. 9/11 was a demolition job. The airplanes and Saudi pilots were just for show, to blame it on Islam. Many Americans recall hearing about molten steel in the debris of 9/11. But jet fuel and burning debris does not explain the presence of molten steel, nothing would have been hot enough, but demolition explosives explains it’s presence.

  5. Ivar, Peace to you. Obama is now connected to the creation of ISIL according to an article in the New Yorker magazine according to CIA documents made ava8lable to the author. There is a faction of the CIA and the U.S. Army that are refusing to provide ISIL with air and intelligence cover as they sell their oil through Turkey. This will hopefully bring Obama down and he and his zionist masters and the muslims who help them will be halted in their plan to destroy America.
The Lord God reminded me that He is in control and that the prayers of the Saints here in America havve prevailed much. Praise God for raising up a Vladimer Putin to restore communist Russia to a Christian and democratic nation, a beacon of freedom and truth in a dark and evil world. And raising up people in America who still love the Lord and serve Him and love freedom. There are those of us willing to die to see our country restored.
