Report, which isn’t formal change to doctrine, says Jews don’t need to convert for salvation, in an ‘unfathomable mystery.’
Jews can secure eternal salvation without converting to Christianity, senior Catholic theologians say in a report published Thursday, in the latest refinement of their stance on a vexed theological issue.
Addressing a question that has long blighted relations between the two faiths, the report also unequivocally states that the Church should not actively seek to convert Jews to Christianity, echoing the stance outlined by former Pope Benedict XVI in a 2011 book.
The report, drawn up by the Church’s “Commission for religious relations with the Jews,” goes further than Benedict however in effectively affirming that Jews can be saved independently of Christ. “Although Jews cannot believe in Jesus Christ as the universal redeemer, they have a part in salvation, because the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable,” the report concludes, according to a summary released to the media.
The belief that the only way to salvation is through belief in Christ is a fundamental tenet of every strand of Christianity. But it has also been blamed for creating an evangelical tendency responsible for some of the darkest periods in the history of religion, that are tainted with violent anti-Semitic violence and persecution such as the crusades of the Middle Ages, the Spanish Inquisition, pogroms and more.
The latest report reiterates claims that it is only thanks to Christ’s death and resurrection that all people have the chance of salvation, but accepts that Jews can benefit from this without believing in him. The authors appear to acknowledge that they are effectively squaring a theological circle.
How Jews being saved while not believing in Christ “can be possible remains an unfathomable mystery in the salvific plan of God,” they say.

My comment:
The Pope and his religious movement seems to live in utter spiritual darkness. And even Orthodox Jews knows that the Pope do not represent evangelical Christianity. Today, its obvious that the Pope do not even know what salvation is. Still claiming to be the “vicar of Christ”.
The Pope has missed out on the core doctrine of the Messianic faith. The written Word of God explains that only Jesus the Messiah can save a man from his sins. Let him be Jew or gentile.
Acts 4:12
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.’
That the Pope is december 2015 still do not understand the essence of the gospel, is obviously a spiritual tragedy. Both for the pope personally, and a billion souls or so that believe in his messages.

We continue to get solid confirmations, that the Jesuit Pope is an antichrist. But unfortunately, many religious people close their eyes and ears, and stay put in their presentation of the Pope as a Christian leader.
If the Pope by any chance was right, than Messianic Jews are the biggest fools in the modern world. And the apostles Paul and Peter misunderstood their Master too. Since they called the Jews to embrace their Messiah, and in this way save them selves from the present corrupt generation. 3.000 Jews was saved in the day of Pentecost. Now the Pope try to nullify it all.
Behold: If you want to escape the fire of Hell, detach your self from any spiritual fellowship with the Roman Catholic church. Rather expose all its falsehood.

The Jews do need to be evangelized but not by Catholics or Apostates! Don’t Jews and Muslims associate true Christianity with the ‘Inquisition’? Then we have the Apostate Evangelicals who believe they have replaced Israel. The Jews need to believe in their Messiah, just like non Jews! The Apostle Paul says, For I delivered unto you first of all that which I ALSO RECEIVED, how that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried and rose again the 3rd day according to the Scriptures.” 1 Corinthians 15

Yes, it is true that secular Jews do not need to become Catholics. Because if they convert, they would be as lost as they were before they embraced Catholicism. But all Jews need to hear and accept the gospel. If not they will perish. Just like the Pope.

I am Jewish. Now even I know that in the Christian bible – in Romans- it is specifically outlined that Jews are the roots and that to judge them the way you do is foolish – and that one cannot fathom the intentions of the creator on matters like this.
In Romans it specifically references the Jews and Heaven. So actually the Pope is scriptually correct in these matters based on the writings of the New Testament. Just sayin…

My question is: When did God of Israel establish this Brit Hadasha, the new covenant?
If there is no new covenant yet, where is the Temple? Where is the blood offerings, that can forgive our sins?
Nobody can be saved independently of Christ. But Christ is Lord and can save whoever He Chooses. If Christ saves them even though they do not believe, they will be saved but not independently of Christ.
Romans 3:3 What if some were unfaithful? Will their unfaithfulness nullify God’s faithfulness?
Romans 3:4 May it never be! Rather, let God be found true, though every man be found a liar, as it is written, “THAT YOU MAY BE JUSTIFIED IN YOUR WORDS, AND PREVAIL WHEN YOU ARE JUDGED.”…
So the Pope is wrong to say anyone is saved independent of Christ. And found to be a most subtle liar as the serpent was in the Garden.
The way I read it. Romans 10:16 on to Romans 11:5 is also on that subject. It seems to confirm that Jews who do not believe the message about Christ are saved anyway, by grace.
Romans 10:16 But not all the Israelites accepted the good news. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our message?”

Romans 11:5 So too, at the present time there is a remnant chosen by grace.
And it goes on to say the disadvantage to the Jews who don’t believe, they don’t get to enjoy the freedom of Christ, Their backs will be bent by the hypocrites who lay all these rules on them, such as keeping sabbaths that shouldnt be kept. But the Catholics leaders are also hypocrites, and the Catholics enjoy no more freedom than the Jews. Which is why it is best to have Christ as your Lord and Spiritual Father, Let the Pope do what Popes do to someone else.
