The gunman who opened fire at Oregon’s Umpqua Community College singled out Christians, according to the father of a wounded student.

Before going into spinal surgery, Anastasia Boylan told her father and brother the gunman entered her classroom firing.
“I’ve been waiting to do this for years,” the gunman told the professor. He shot him point blank, Boylan recounted. Others were hit too, she told her family.

Everyone in the classroom dropped to the ground.
The gunman, while reloading his handgun, ordered the students to stand up and asked if they were Christians, Boylan told her family.
“And they would stand up and he said, ‘Good, because you’re a Christian, you’re going to see God in just about one second,'” Boylan’s father, Stacy, told CNN, relaying her account. “And then he shot and killed them.”
Boylan, 18, was hit in the back by a bullet that traveled down her spine. While she lay bleeding on the floor, the gunman told her, “Hey you, blonde woman,” her father said.

My comment:
The Jihad in the USA, is not going to be conducted by Muslims only. I have warned against the youth who massacre people on video games. They are likely to become rutine killers, when the antichrist give them orders.
The ritual killings of Christians is nothing new. Long time before Muhammad was born, there was a death penalty for people who believed Jesus is God. The brutal killers of the Messianic believers were both Jews and pagans. Stephan was the first disciple to be martyred.
While they were stoning him, Stephen prayed, ‘Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.
For the past three decades, the massacre of Christians has been a daily routine for Muslim butchers in Iran. Now this carnage has spread to nations like Iraq, Sudan, Nigeria and Syria. The next battlefield will be the USA.
Be ready for a bumpy ride, as the antichrists of different colors targets the true witnesses of the Messiah.

The comming onslaught on evangelical Christians will be global. All who have rejected the truth, will target those who continue to tell the truth. You will be hated by all nations if you contiune to be a servant and a tool of the Messiah.
Awake!!! Christian
When we die for Our Great God and savior Jesus Christ
It is not the end it is the beginning of life in eternity

Thanks for this comment:
Philippians 1:21
For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.
Jesus the Messiah did not promise Peter the Apsotle, a long life in the flesh:
John 21:19
Jesus said this to indicate the kind of death by which Peter would glorify God. Then he said to him, ‘Follow me!’
Thank you Ivar for the great article. I wanted to mention that the media is saying the school was a gun free zone. The state of Oregon has ‘concealed carry’ laws. A person with a license may carry a gun as long as it is concealed and you have a license for it. Oregon is on the bandwagon to disarm it’s citizens. The colleges and schools here are telling students and faculty they may not have a gun even though it is breaking Oregon laws by saying so. There are two crimes here. One is lawlessness, the other murder of the innocent. Christian persecution will be ignored for political correctness. Satan’s idea of course. Blessings!
Dear Nannette
Shalom, and love in Jesus.
You are living in Oregon. I have a daugther studying in Seattle. We have to face this all. I will not carry a gun, and I hope I will never harm anyone. I desire to rather become a martyr. There are Christians who disagree with me. I respect their view on self defence.
Peace to you Nannette.

There is only one crime.
Murder, which is a result of lawlessness.
God gave the basis for life in the ten commandments.
God then acknowledged they would be broken and instructed those He chose in how to judge the peoples.
This was the Old Covenant way.
The ten still apply, under the New Covenant but the world rejects them, or chooses which ones apply.
People do not get it, Jesus taught.
18 For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.
19 Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
He went further and said if we break one, we have broken them all.
If we do not keep the Sabbath day, we have broken one and therefore are guilty of breaking them all.
We therefore are murderers also.
All of the worlds problems would be solve ‘if’ all would turn to God and live His way.
I believe in the defense of others. If someone is trying to kill another person, I would defend that person if it is in my ability to do so. That includes my family. It is not about self, but others (love your neighbor). If you were on the street with your wife and someone took her from you, would you stand there and do nothing? If someone was to take your child would you stand there and do nothing? If someone broke into your house with a gun and was chasing down your family, would you do nothing? If you saw someone beating another person up, would you stand there and do nothing? There is a difference between defending others and being willing to die for your faith (martyr). Human government is suppose to defend the weak. When the governments have disarmed it’s citizens it’s called tyranny. I have a picture in my mind of that man in Europe who sliced up a person with a knife while people who were unarmed by the government were standing by and watching, doing nothing. I don’t want that on my conscience. Not unlike that school, how many watched, stood by and could do nothing because they were unarmed by the school. Shameful! “And whoso shall receive on such little child in My Name receiveth Me. But whoso shall offend (hurt) one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.” Matthew 18:5&6 Standing down when you are able to defend, does that not make a person guilty of these very verses?

My comment:
In this way you question if Jesus your Lord should be branded a hypocrite and a coward. He never stopped the Romans, who constantly killed Jews in Jerusalem. Many Jews branded Jesus as a false Messiah.
Matthew 18:6 is about “sin”. Not to harm anyone, is not a sin. Self-defence is an option. To be martyred by sword, is often a fruit of not being willing to use firearms against those who curse us.
Peace to you Nannette.
This event has left families bereft yet again.
I read your comment and it keeps coming back to me.
First some scriptures.
52 But Jesus said to him, “Put your sword in its place, for all who take the sword will perish by the sword.
The Lord Jesus Christ would today teach, ‘Put your gun in it’s place, for all who take the gun, will perish by the gun’.
I heard a Pastor being interviewed, he suggested that the students should be armed, Our Lord Jesus Christ did not encourage His followers to bear arms,
Matthew 10
39 He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.
Matthew 16
Mark 8
Luke 9
Luke 17
John 12
Say virtually the same thing.
These young students stood up when asked if they were Christian, they lost their lives, yet as a result, having lost their lives for His sake, they will be rewarded in eternity.
If these students had been armed, they might have been able to kill the shooter before he claimed any victims, but, they would then become killers themselves.
They would have saved their present mortal lives and lost their eternal lives.
Then the Bible teaches about laying down our lives.
In wartime accounts we find examples where a hand grenade has landed among a group of soldiers and one of them has thrown himself on the device taking the full impact of the explosion, losing his life but in doing so, saving the lives of his fellow soldiers.
It may be that an unarmed Christian could run at an armed individual, drawing his attention away from his would be victims giving them time to run for cover and most likely losing his/her life in the process.
I believe an armed Christian, would be one who is trying to save the lives of others and his own.
It seems the right thing to do, but it goes against what Christ taught.
Ivar! you accuse me of something very serious. I ask you apologize! I was not accusing Jesus but a person who would not protect innocent life and obey God. Jesus very own words are quoted in Matthew 18:5&6 and it is a sin to murder, hurt, sin or whatsoever one does against one of these little one who believe in Him. I see this a no different than in Romans 1:32 “Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.” WE ARE NOT TALKING ABOUT ‘SELF’ DEFENCE BUT DEFENCE OF OTHERS, THAT IS WHAT I SAID! Apologize to me or I will never come back.
Dear Nanette
Shalom,and love in Jesus.
I have not accused you of anything. I have requested you to reflect on my comment. Jesus did not bear arms. Nor did the arm anybody else. For which purpose the two swords used by his disciples were called for, is not mentioned. But you do not fight a war with two men wearing a sword.
Jesus him self did he use the option of self-defence. He said to us all: Anyone who loose his life for my sake, shall gain everthing. (eternal life) All who try to save their life (in fhe flesh) shall loose it!
Many of us who refuse to bear arms, do belive Jesus support our views. But I respect all Christians who have come to a different conclusion.
Ivar, Jesus did not stop them, because He was here to die for you and me! This has nothing to do with defense of others or self defense when it has NOTHING to do with Christianity, but dealing with robbers & murderers who come into your home or school, store, ect. “Then said He (Jesus) unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip, he that hath NO SWORD, let him sell his garment, and BUY ONE. For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in Me, and He was reckoned among the transgressors. For the things concerning Me have an end. And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And He said unto them, It is enough.” Why did Jesus tell them to buy a sword if they were to stand down, or turn the other cheek? I’m glad you are over there and I’m over here because you would not defend me if someone tried to kill me.
Dear Nannette
Shalom, and love in Jesus.

My comment:
Oh yes. I would defend you. I could take you our of the area, where you faced very hostile people. I have been under threat of death my self. But I never bowed down to presure, and I did not harm the man who cursed me. Jesus my Lord took me through that traumatic experience, and turn everything into a blessing.
I sometimes face direct questions like: If you saw someone raping your daughter, would you not try to stop him? My reply is: Yes, I would. I would be ready to die for my daugther. But do everything I could to not harm anyone. In fact, I can not be everywere my dauther is. But Jesus knows where she is, and He knows what see will have to face in this life.
You never answered my question. Why did Jesus tell the apostles to buy a sword. Also, thank you for your answer above, you could have said that before and saved some time in my reply’s. There is No way I want to hurt anyone either, God knows. As an abused child without a dad, I know all things work together for good. What starts out evil, God turns it around and blesses us. Blessings!
Dear Nannette
Shalom, and love in Jesus.
We can speculate why Jesus told his disciples to bring two swords with them. Why not arm all 12?
My best guess, is that these two sword were taken along with them, as a defensive measure against wild anilmals. And a protective meassure along the road. In this way we can say that Jesus promoted self-defence. You can not attack a military force, like a column of Roman soldiers, using two men with swords.
The best defense against wild animals was live fire. This tool had been used since the first man discovered how to light up the night.
Peace to you Ivar.
The word translated to sword in this instance appears to refer to a short bladed dagger type of knife. Something you might use to butcher meat or clean fish. Maybe prepare shavings of wood to get a fire started.
I believe the Lord Jesus said they were sufficient because they wouldn’t be needed for self defence.
After Pentecost they started their ministries filled with the Holy Spirit and under divine protection until they had completed their ministries and were martyred, with John exiled enabling him to write the words Jesus gave him in Revelation.
As time moves on and we get nearer to the return of Jesus Christ, we see that there will be just two witnesses under divine protection.
I know of one married couple who claimed to be these two witnesses, the husband has been identified as a false prophet.
PRAISE THE LORD!
1 Samuel 13:22
22 So it came to pass in the day of battle, that there was neither sword nor spear found in the hand of any of the people that were with Saul and Jonathan: but with Saul and with Jonathan his son was there found.
God will provide victory for the people of God, even when out numbered and out armed.
