“Gays are welcome to attend, worship, and participate as a congregation member within the Hillsong community”.
These are the words of Pastor Brian Houston. He is founder and pastor of Hillsong Church in Australia.
The Christian Post recently reported that Hillsong’s Brian Houston allows unrepentent gays to be church members.
Houston said that all “are welcome to attend, worship, and participate as a congregation member with the assurance that they are personally included and accepted within the Hillsong community — but cannot take active leadership roles.”
Although I appreciate Brian’s heart — we must love and help everyone — if we tell people that they can be members and participate in all aspects of church life even while embracing the homosexual lifestyle, we are sending the wrong message.

Would it have solved the issue, if the men of Sodom had been taken into the house of Lot?
What if the cousin of Abraham had offered them to worship the Lord in his living room?
Would God have changed His mind, and not burned the city with hellfire?
Was it their lack of “praise and worship” that made Jesus of the Bible angry? Or was it their sexual perversion?
When Pastor Brian Houston seek praise and worship with Jesus in union with gays, he is no longer a leader of a Christian community. But rather a leading priest of a religious club in Sydney, Australia.
Why is there so much confusion around claimed to be Christian leaders, when the Bible is crystal clear about the eternal destiny of homosexuals? If Jesus are not willing to change gays, It is beause their rejection of His call for holiness. The Messiah seems not willing to save a lot of gays. Neither did He save the perverts of Sodom. Christians are not called to disobey their Master by staying put where God will bring destruction.
In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.
Where there is no preaching of sin and repentance, no follower of Jesus would like to participate. But unclean spirits would love to partake in such rituals. All kinds of religious people will flock to such arenas, to be a part of this “god love us all” environment.
In fellowships where the gospel of sin and repentance is preached, no one who continue to disobey Jesus, would like to remain. And absolutely not join as a member.
I have earlier, but doubtful, encouraged our youth to go for events arranged by Hillsong. From now on I will give them a stern warning. Stay away from these kind of charismatic religious clubs. We are all called to resist the evils of sodomists, and rather worship Jesus the Messiah in spirit and in truth.

Will it be okay then to come to church drunk?
I have two gay family members,i love them and except them.their relationship with God is important to them their judgement will come from God not me.God tells us to love one another as i have loved you,Am i then condemned because i love and except them or does God say to himself i did what he asked of me and loved them regardless of their sexual orientation and as for Lot he offered his own daughters up and also’ accidently slept with both.Incest i would think is a sin also .But God saved him and called him a just man,funny what God chooses to forgive and how its justified to keep the dots connected and it’s Sydney not sidney

My comment:
When Lot offered his daugters to a group of homosexuals, it was not exactely an “offer”. My best guess is that Lot knew that they did not regard females as sexual objects, but would insist on free accesss to rape the two men. Such is the nature of perversion.
Please keep on telling the gay members of your family, how God of the Bible destroyed two cities because of such sexual immorality in that place. Jesus is giving us a stern warning. It will be likewise on the Earth just before His second comming. May all your gay friends repent, and be saved. So they can escape the comming wrath of God. Amen.

Thanks, Ivar. As in the case of Lot and the homosexuals breaking down the door, seems these days they don’t have to, the doors are wide open to let them in. You can watch them on television, read about them in books even children’s books. Now you can go to church and you can’t say anything. We must leave churches who promote homosexuality, and who applauded the United States supreme court ruling on homosexual marriages as well as churches who promote murder (abortion of helpless babies). Hillsong has infiltrated the churches worldwide, and I read an article that the so called worship leaders are homosexuals as well. Satan is using music to gather the people together to worship anti-Christ. Satan uses the music industry period. “Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of music, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands:” said Nebuchadnezzar, By the way the image represents this: “And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.” Revelation 13:17&18. Nebuchadnezzar’s image was, ” whose height was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof six cubits.” Daniel 3:1 which equals the three sixes . We would invite everyone to join in our worship services, but not compromise on God’s word. Greg Laurie said once:
If someone can come to my church while living in sin, hear me preach and feel good, I am doing something wrong.
It is important that the entire Bible is preached. This is perhaps what has been done wrong here. Maybe you should give Hillsong should get a second chance.

I am a great fan of Hillsong music, often using their songs. But I am in principle sceptical to such mega churces, where there is no interaction. I like to be in a group of 10-12 Christians, where all of them are encouraged to tell what Jesus is doing in their life.
When Pentecostal pastor Brian Houston let gay’s become members of Hillsong churces, I am out. I will have to dust my feet, and move on.
I agree that gay’s should be allowed to come for our services, but membership is out of the question. Also drunkards, lovers of money and drug addicts can come for service. But I will never baptize them. As a baptist I demand fruits of repentance and confession of faith, before I baptize people. And only those who have promised Jesus to follow Him, can become members of the true Church of Jesus the Messiah. When your recive baptism, you are granted membership. Like in the book of Acts, chapter 2,41. Those who were baptized were added to their numbers.
Not being willing do deal with sin after baptizm, can lead to excommunication. (Matthew 18:17).
Agree with you Ivar. He can not be a member of the church. However the church needs to be a lifeboat for sinners – not a cruise ship for Christians!

The Church is a lifeboat for sinners, who are willing to repent. The Holy Spirit makes us concious of sins, and helps us to deal with sin. Not to accept sin. The Church is also a cruise ship for Christians. It has the Kingdom of Heaven as its final destination.

When gay’s can become members of a Church, why not leaders? Are there two kinds of memberships?
Not being Biblical on this issue, has become a not solvable problem within the Lutheran Church of Norway. It has literally become a spiritual harlot, a whore. Now Hillsong is taken down the same path, by its founder and pastor.

I visited a church in which 2 of the members (husband and wife) are openly and actively in Free Masonry. He is a secretary. This man asked the preacher if he could come in, the Baptist preacher said yes. He says he is born again and they to this day still attend this church. How many members do you suppose have now joined his cause? Blessings

There is no legalistic answer to your question. We have to use both common sense and discerment. I baptised a young man, who later wanted to be a girl…Than he wanted to be a man again. My best guess Is that he is a bisexual with transsexual desires. I told Him to repent. He do no longer come to fellowships of Christians. When I meet him, he sometimes say he wants to be a Christian. Sometimes he say he believe in all gods. Prorbaly he walked back into idol worship, and was caught by a demon.
