Pope Francis says he wasn’t offended by the “Communist crucifix” given to him by Bolivian President Evo Morales.
Morales surprised the pontiff with the unusual gift, a crucifix attached to a hammer and sickle, when Francis arrived in La Paz last Wednesday.
The crucifix was a replica of one designed by a Jesuit priest, the Rev. Luis Espinal, who was tortured and killed by Bolivian paramilitary squads in 1980. Francis prayed at the site of Espinal’s assassination upon his arrival in Bolivia.
The modified crucifix immediately raised eyebrows, with some questioning whether Morales, whose socialist and anti-church rhetoric is well-known, was trying to score a questionable political point with a questionable, and possibly sacrilegious, melding of faith and ideology.
Francis, an Argentine Jesuit, said Espinal was well-known among his fellow Jesuits as a proponent of the Marxist strain of liberation theology. The Vatican opposed it, fearing that Marxists were using liberation theology’s “preferential option for the poor” as a call for armed revolution against oppressive right-wing regimes that were in power in much of Latin America in the 1970s and 1980s.
During a news conference en route home to Rome on Sunday, Francis said he interpreted Morales’ gift through the prism of Espinal’s Marxist bent and viewed it as protest art.
After taking into consideration the time in which he lived, Francis said: “I understand this work. For me it wasn’t an offense.”
Francis added that he brought the crucifix home with him.

My comment:
When the Pope accept a communist crucifix, he whitewash the crimes of Marxism, an ideology which has led to the slaughter of more than 100 million people during the last century.
This acceptance is done by a man who claim to be “The holy Father”, a title Jesus the Messiah exclusively used on Father God in Heaven.
The Pope is also the claimed replacement of the Messiah on Earth, the “Vicar of Christ”. The Roman Catholic Church claim that all the powers in heaven and earth is at the hands of the papacy, who literally holds the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven.

He replied: “Watch out that you are not deceived. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am he,’ and, ‘The time is near.’ Do not follow them.
Now we have seen that the domain of the Pope also includes all Marxists, men like Evo Morales. The “Holy see” had eventually no problem to accept a Communist crucifix”. Surely this is the same dead Messiah, who is displayed wherever Roman Catholics are gathered to do their religious rituals.
As the head of the Vatican state, the Pope mixes religion and politics. Jesus the Messiah told us to not do so, but to become worker’s of the Kingdom of Heaven.
Satan is the prince of this World. Like the false communist Messiah, all false “Christ’s” will work for the interests of the kingdom of this “prince”. All followers of false Messiah’s will eventually unite, and accept the antichrist in Rome as their leader.

just as your headline claims in another article, “The New Facist Pope” i understand how the people of central and south america would want to throw off the shackles of facism placed on them by oppressive, brutal dictatorships. the ring of freedom used to be heard loudly in the americas despite the puppet regimes set up by U.S. corporations who rape, murder and intimidate to maintain profits just as they continue to do all around the world today. God help the people of central and south america overcome exploitation and poverty. the pope speaks out of both sides of his mouth while decrying capitalism, he ignores the fact that the vatican is the wealthiest corporation on earth!
As the catholic Jesus is in the waffer , they feel they can see the pope as the Holy Father, but is nothing but a antichrist which is leading to the largest Apostasy that the scripture tells and warns of. how anyone can call him that is full blown blasphemy , never to be forgiven, those who did not read scritpure and or have a real believer tell them, they must be told and depart from heading to rome to be destroyed. But it is uplifting to know that there is a great revival in Israel , even some rabbi’s now believe Yeshua came and is coming again. also reading Joel 3:2 and Jer 30L11 andIsiah 60:12 tells us even more. things are moving quickly and the L-rd said, pray without ceasing and stay in the word so we don’t become confused..IT IS THE Word of G-d , not man.
