NSA mass phone surveillance revealed by Edward Snowden ruled illegal.

The US court of appeals has ruled that the bulk collection of telephone metadata is unlawful, in a landmark decision that clears the way for a full legal challenge against the National Security Agency.
A panel of three federal judges for the second circuit overturned an earlier ruling that the controversial surveillance practice first revealed to the US public by NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden in 2013 could not be subject to judicial review.
But the judges also waded into the charged and ongoing debate over the reauthorization of a key Patriot Act provision currently before US legislators. That provision, which the appeals court ruled the NSA program surpassed, will expire on 1 June amid gridlock in Washington on what to do about it.

The judges opted not to end the domestic bulk collection while Congress decides its fate, calling judicial inaction “a lesser intrusion” on privacy than at the time the case was initially argued.
“In light of the asserted national security interests at stake, we deem it prudent to pause to allow an opportunity for debate in Congress that may (or may not) profoundly alter the legal landscape,” the judges ruled.

My comment:
The NSA is not the only Western spy agency who have compromised the basic freedoms of the Western civilization. The electronic surveillance is global. And it is blessed and permitted by you. This state authorized abuse of powers effects every human being who are connected to the Internet.
The moment you search on Google, you are being spy’ed on. By Google. When you move on to web-based newspapers, the advertisements displayed are directly linked to your personal interests.
How do the newspaper know your personal interests?
The business sector pay billions of dollars to Google, to get their adds here you in the very next moment will be surfing. Because Google have been profiling you. You have given them permission. You have given them every detail of your life. And every step you are taking, you leave electronic blood-prints. From your smartphone, they can trace you and all your friends and partners.
The ultimate technology to be used by the final antichrist is already here. And you are giving them an easy task to profile you, trace you, track you down and persecute you. The mother of all troubles are in the pipeline.
because those will be days of distress unequaled from the beginning, when God created the world, until now—and never to be equaled again.
Behold: Even if they want to behead you, stay put. Do not compromise. Claim all men to be liars, but the Word of God the truth. Jesus the Messiah will raise you up, and let you walk in the power of His ressurection. He has defeated death. He has overcome the World. All sins are forgiven. He gained His victory on the cross at Calvary in Jerusalem.

That should keep them busy for a while, redefining the word privacy. In the Bush administration it was torture, nobody ended that.
I cannot imagine why they would even WANT all that data. My life on the internet is incredibly boring. For a government to treat its own citizens as its enemy is the type of thing that made Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia (not to mention Mao’s China) nightmare realms. It took only 80 years for Germany to fall from its position as the “land of Luther” to the horrible infamy of the Third Reich. It is taking about that length of time for “America the beautiful” to become a monstrosity that is barely recognizable to those who have witnessed its fall. One of the founders of the nation, and its second president, John Adams, had this to say: “We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions [which are] unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge or [even] gallantry would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution is designed only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for any other.” Frenchman, Alexis de Tocqueville said, after visiting the U.S. in 1831, “America is great because she is good. If America ceases to be good, America will cease to be great.” He said further, “Liberty cannot be established without morality, nor morality without faith.”
Preach the Gospel, while there is still time.
