Two gunmen have been shot dead after they opened fire outside a conference on cartoons of the Prophet Muhammed in a suburb of Dallas, US police say.

A security guard was also injured. Police sealed off the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland and evacuated participants. The gunmen’s car is being searched for a possible bomb, police added.
The event, organised by a group critical of Islam, included a contest for drawings of the Prophet.

Dutch anti-Islamic politician Geert Wilders was among those attending. He tweeted that shots had been fired and he had safely left the building.

It was not clear if the shootings were related to the event, said Garland Police Department spokesman Joe Harn.
There had not been any credible threats in advance of the event, he added
“As today’s Muhammad Art Exhibit event at the Curtis Culwell Center was coming to an end, two males drove up to the front of the building in a car,” it said.
“Both males were armed and began shooting at a Garland ISD (Independent School District) security officer. Garland Police officers engaged the gunmen, who were both shot and killed.”

My comment:
Just a few days back I said that the forces of Jihad work hard to see the civil war of Islam spilling over to the American homeland.
The Islamists take every opportunity to rake up violence.
Every citizen has the right to draw a cartoon of Muhammed. Anyone who is wiling to kill in a move to cancel our freedom of expression, must be arrested. They are best deported back to the country of origin.

The challenge with the ongoing jihad in America, is that the killers are born in the USA. They are raised being told that “Islam is as American as any religion”. President Obama as hailed Islam is several speeches, and equalized this religion with Christianity.
Jesus the Messiah has warned us in advance. The last days will be known for its widespread apostasy, and the great falling away. The ongoing bastardization of post civilized culture will spread globally. The distress among people will be unequal to what we have seen since the creation of the world.
If you name is not written in the book of life, you will panic, compromise and perish. Stand firm. Accept Jesus the Messiah as your Lord and God today. Amen.

I think it is wrong to draw cartoons of Mohamed. For a society to function in harmony we should not mock at other religion. This applies to Christianity too. Even though we believe Christianity is true and Islam false that does not give us the right to mock or provoke other religion. I am sure we don’t want others to draw provocative pictures of Jesus. God call us to reach muslims by the love of God and forgiveness in Christ ,When you ridicule someone’s,belief the motive is never out of love..

There is obviously a difference between have a right to do, and actually doing. I have a right to drink alcohol, but I surely will not do. Likewise. You do not have to draw a cartoon of Muhammad. But enforcing a ban, is out of the question.
We live in a free society, where freedom of expression is one of the highest values. It keeps us from being taken captiive by totalitarian opression. Let if be Facism, Maoism or Islam. We have to fight for our freedom, and defend all like minded people.
Not all Muslims believe in the Koran. I just spoke to a Muslim girl, who said “its a lot bullshit within Islam”. But the problem with Islam, is that it is barbarian in nature. When Muhammad demand crippling and killing of people who diagreed with him, this ideology called ” a religion” is evil to its core.
To compromise with Muslims on the truth about Muhammad is a right you do have. But it will be very unwise. Rather be beheaded and become a martyr, than to agree that Muhammad was a prophet. He was not. He was an evil man, and the curses that followed in his footstep, can not be counted.
I agree that it is unkind to mock another person’s religion and that Christians are to be kind as an outstanding quality. However, we do not live in a theocracy–we live in a democratic state whose founding principles assure that one should not be persecuted for having made statements that are unpopular with one or another group. True civility insists that, even if one is very opposed to what is being expressed, one refrains from reprisals against the one whose opinion one opposes. Otherwise, chaos ensues and truth is not served. Fascists of all sorts want to remove the right to express those sentiments–whether they are Islamic fascists, homosexual fascists or anti-Creation fascists. We thought that we had ended fascism having ended the Third Reich. Satan always inspires fascism in his sons.
Although we don’t live in theocracy, Jesus lives in our heart. We are to live out our life as though Jesus rules. Democracy is after all a man made system. It is based on the majority. And the majority voted for Hitler and very soon the majority will approve gay wedding. The response of the flesh is to ridicule others, but the Spirit tells us to reach to Muslims by love and truth. We can still tell the truth without resorting to mocking other’s belief.
It’s American to mock everything. Muslims are going to have to learn to deal. If someone mocks Jesus I don’t pay no attention since they will get what is coming to them.
Hi tommy,
Our response, as Christians, should always be to inform democracy with truth. The truth is that there IS NO SUCH THING (nor can there ever be any such thing) as gay “marriage” since marriage has been specifically prescribed in the Law of Moses, given by God Himself. It is, and has always been, the spiritual joining of non-closely related men and women, under the blessing of God. Period. Homosexuals can call their ungodly unions with each other anything that they like, but it is still NOT marriage. It is nothing more than a “civil union”–which they already had. Why waste everyone’s time with this charade? The whole “gay marriage” agenda was specifically designed by the enemies of Christ, to be Satanic barbs aimed at Christ’s Church. The fact that many “Christians” approve of these perverted unions casts filth on the Name above all names. I don’t blame homosexuals for trying to gain approval for their perversion–such is the way of the world. But so-called Christians denying the clear word of God and caving into the world around them are cowards and will be judged as such.
In the matter of Islam–it is a perversion of Judeo-Christianity and like all perversions, it will be judged severely, in the world to come. We need to share the truth in love with Muslims before it is too late.
On the 27.O4. in east Bosnia and Hercegovina a jihadist muslim from Bosnia entered into olice station and killed an officer, Serbian, and injured other two, shouting allahu akbar. He was killed after that.
While I don’t believe that Christians should engage in mocking other peoples religion, I also don’t believe
When a mockery is made retaliation
By those offended should not end in the taking of life of those doing the offending. But the offenders should realize that it might happen. It’s interesting that within a minute the two

Also more and more Americans are carrying weapons conceiled and are

So jihadist beware.

Since the truth is offensive to billions of people: Shall we stop telling the truth?
1. The Bible and the Koran can not both be truth. One of them is based on lies.
2. Jesus is exclusive when He calls all who came before Him thiefs and robbers. Shall we stop quoting Him, because some religious people surely will be offended?
3. God of the Bible will send billions of people to Hell, becaue they do not accept that Jesus is the only way to Heaven. Many people find this kind of messages highly offensive. Like all religious Muslims, and the majority of Orthodox Jews.
Shall we give all these people some sweet talk, so that no one will be offended?
What about Jesus telling people they were sons of Hell, and brood of wiper’s? Not exactely politically correct?
But the same Jesus also says “Father forgive them, for they know not what they are doing” while He hung on the cross and was mocked by the Roman soldiers. So there is a compassionate side of Jesus. This is the part millitant Islamists don’t understand and need to know. They have been listening to message of hate and revenge too much. So instead of provoking them, tell them it is wrong to kill and hate and there is a God that send His Son to die for them and will forgive them
Hello Ivar,
Don’t get me wrong. I do not say that we shouldn’t speak the truth. Christ crucified is offensive to billions. At this cartoon art event their was no truth of the gospel displayed. Only art that made a mockery of a religion. Their are consequences for everything. Knowing full well that these kind of things offend
A particular group of people that will kill because of it, I would think that the decision to not display the mockery cartoon art.
If Christians were responsible for this I say shame on them.
Why not display art that would move people to think about their need for salvation from Jesus. I don’t know the people who sponsored the art event. Having done so cost the lives of innocent people. Not the jihadist. They got retribution for their action. The rights of free speech in our country sometimes ends
Badly
