France will push for a final peace deal and pave the way to the creation of a Palestinian state.
France plans to begin talks at the United Nations on a new Security Council resolution to revive Israeli-Palestinian peace prospects, Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said Friday, according to the AFP news agency.
Fabius told reporters at UN headquarters in New York that discussions on a text would start “in the coming days.”
The Security Council in December rejected a resolution that would have set a deadline for reaching a final peace deal and pave the way to the creation of a Palestinian state.
The United States had voted against the measure but was spared from resorting to its veto after eight council members including France voted yes, one vote short of the nine needed for adoption.
“I hope the partners that were reluctant will be less reluctant,” Fabius said Friday, according to AFP.
“It is necessary to move forward to have a solution to this problem,” he added.

The Western democracies do no longer believe in Judeo-Christian values. Neither do they believe in the free worlds presentation of modern history.
The Socialist government of France adopts the Islamic narrative to world history. The very idea that the Bible is a fake, and that the Jewish people have no rights to live in the Biblical heartland of Judea and Samaria. The resoration of Israel in 1948 was a political mistake. Because it upset the forces of Islam.
Paris believe that the way towards “peace” is an Israeli surrender. The Jewish people must accept that they have no connection to the Bible, and that the state of Israel is an occupier of Arabic land. East Jerusalem belong to the sons of Muhammad, and needs to be brought back under Islamic occupation.
If this World view becomes the view of the UN Security Council, the city of Jerusalem will be surrounded by the enemies of God. Just like the prophetic word has warned us.
The state of Israel is about the size of the state of New Jersey. The Jewish people will not be able to fight all the nuclear super powers of the World. The Bible explains that all kinds of antichrists will unite, and trick Israel to accept a universal “peace plan”. The reign of the evil doers will be brief. Than the Lion of Judah will return, and bring judgment on all the supporters of ungodliness and wickedness.
Do not side with this global force. But resist the evil doers, and wait for the return of the Messiah. Yeshua is the Messiah. We can not expect anyone else to come and save us.

Well said, nannette! Collectively, mankind decided to follow Satan and not the Creator God of the Universe back in the days of the Lord’s perfect Garden of Eden. Most have rejected Him in every generation since. From those evildoers, God chose a people for Himself and carefully constructed a Vineyard, in which they were supposed to grow (see Isaiah 5). Instead, the Lord received a harvest of sour wild grapes. But, one day soon, the children of Israel will see Him “and so all Israel will be saved”. The Earth will then ascend to the promised Messianic Kingdom–in spite of all of Satan’s attempts to stop it. The Captain of the Hosts of Heaven will defeat Satan with the sharp sword of His word.
