During the Portuguese occupation of Goa, the Roman Catholic Jesuit priesthood could present their verison of the history of Goa unchallenged . If you are not biased, but rather do an objective examination of events, you will get a totally different picture. The last 60 years prior to the Portuguese occupation were the golden age of Goa.

Those who have presented the colonial rulers as “saints” and “angels”, became guilty of theft and robberies. The name of Jesus the Messiah was misused in the most horrific ways.

If you want to discover the true history of Goa, you need to decode the cultue and faith of the people who lived there prior to the Portuguese colonial onslaught.  Than you will find the beauty of pre-Portuguese Christianity on the Konkan coast, and the existence of Jewish settlements in Goa.
