Chairman of Joint Chiefs Martin Dempsey says IDF went to ‘extraordinary lengths’ to save innocents; America studying methods.
Israel went to “extraordinary lengths” to prevent civilian casualties during this summer’s conflict in the Gaza Strip, the top US military leader said Thursday.
“I actually do think that Israel went to extraordinary lengths to limit collateral damage and civilian casualties,” said General Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, during a forum at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in New York City.
“In this kind of conflict, where you are held to a standard that your enemy is not held to, you’re going to be criticized for civilian casualties,” he added, according to Reuters.
The Hamas tunnels “caused the IDF some significant challenges,” Dempsey said. “But they did some extraordinary things to try to limit civilian casualties, to include… making it known that they were going to destroy a particular structure.”
Dempsey listed Israel Defense Forces measures such as the “roof-knocking” and the dropping of warning leaflets as part of their attempts to protect civilian lives.

While the global press does its best to defame and demobilize the Israeli Defense Force (IDF), the top US Admiral tell the public the truth.
The IDF is off course not perfect. Which army in the world commit no mistakes?
But what is the truth about the last conflict in Gaza?
While the Islamic terror group Hamas tried to maximize the death of civiliance in Gaza, the Israeli soldiers tried their best to minimize them. The lage majority of the western twisted this truth, and presented the radical opposite as facts. Such is the nature of state authorized evils and indoctrination.
God of Israel has always challenged his people, to show grace and mercy towards the aliens within the gates of Zion. That is exactly what the IDF do. But when the Israel soldiers are facing outright barbarians who cripple and kill in the name of “allah”, they will have to use lethal force. And when guns are used to protect the state of Israel, there will be civilian casualties.
The US top Admiral and Chief of staff confirms what evangelical friends of Israel already know. That the IDF is the most moral and people friendly army in the world, even saving the lives of Israel’s worst enemies. And that Radical Islam represent the very nadir of civilized man, and unlimitless evil.
The supports of Hamas even murder their own children in cold blood, if the Western press is willing to report that Israeli soldiers are behind the death of “the children of Gaza”.
