God of Israel above US veto

US veto at Security Council may no longer be a given.

Avigdor Liberman and Benjamin Netanyahu are under pressure by the Obama Administration.
Avigdor Liberman and Benjamin Netanyahu are under pressure by the Obama Administration.

With ties growing colder, some in Jerusalem fear Washington’s protection at the UN cannot be taken for granted, and that the midterms may further complicate the picture.

After Jeffrey Goldberg’s infamous “chickenshit” article, it is hard to deny that ties between the Israeli government and the current US administration have reached a nadir. Even Yaacov Amidror, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s former national security adviser, admitted this week that “relations between Israel and the US have deteriorated to an all-time low.”

Worse than the bad language and backroom bickering, though, is the fear that the frosty relationship may mean Israel can no longer rely on Washington’s veto in the Security Council, which has been a rock-solid given in defense of Israel for decades.

It’s no secret that Netanyahu and US President Barack Obama have little love lost for each other, between disputes over an Iranian nuclear deal and building in East Jerusalem and the West Bank.

To have more reverence for the US Veto power in the United Nation Security Council than for God of Israel amounts to idolatry. Because the people of Israel put their faith in the righteousness of Washington D.C, rather in their own God.

The People of Israel needs to show respect for what is written in the Hebrew Bible, and put their trust in His promises. God of Israel sent His eternal Son for to rescue mankind from their own sins. A man can escape the coming wrath of God, by surrender to the lordship of Yeshua the Messiah. And this Messiah restored the state of Israel in 1948.

The midterm election victory of the US Republican Party will give Israel some relief from Obamarama. But this will be only temporarily. The state of Israel have had enough problems with Republican leaders in the White House. They can easily be lifted up as idols, whom the Israelis will bow before.

“‘Because they lead my people astray, saying, “Peace,” when there is no peace, and because, when a flimsy wall is built, they cover it with whitewash.
The prophetic word can not be changed. Israel will be abandoned also by he USA. The Zionist state will be left alone, betrayed by the whole post-Christian civilization. The Jewish people will be forces into a compromise for “peace”. Than the last man of lawlessness will be lifted up an hailed by the multitudes.
Do not join this new universal brotherhood of “peace makers”. But await a savior from Heaven. The messiah will return to Earth as the Lion of Judah.

  1. Iver, the Peace of God, which passes all understanding, be with you.

The God of Israel is also God of the Gentile Nations as it is written; Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
But in every nation he that fears him, and works righteousness, is accepted with him.
    Acts 10:34-35

The excerpt from Ezekiel 13 moved me to re-read the whole chapter. I was intrigued by the wall part since the wall is so important in Israel Today. Reading the whole chapter 13 of Ezekiel can be interpreted in different ways, from different perspectives, as to who the false prophets are, saying God sent them, when God did not sent them.

WE know Christ Jesus offered his body as a living sacrifice for all Human beings, not only the Jews of Israel.

As one Child of God living in CanaDa, I am convinced beyond any doubt the truth of this scripture for TODAY; For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
    Romans 2:28-29

I also believe Chapter 1 of the great Jewish Prophet Isaiah is addressed to THIS GENERATION of Israelis. President Rivlin most probably was not thinking of Isaiah 1 when he made his recent controversial remarks calling Israel a sick society, which is what Isaiah is saying in Chapter 1 of his book. The hateful invective hurled at him because of his comment is proof of that.

Greetings and peace to you brother
I love Paul’s words in his letter to the church in Rome.
It was made up of Jews and Gentiles.
In defining what makes a man a Jew, he without any
Reservation tells them that a real, and true Jew is one who is one inwardly. Now we know what that means because the issue was spiritual circumcision vs. Outward physical circumcision. It is circumcision that is performed on the heart of a man (and I don’t mean the physical heart that pumps blood) by God. This only happens to those whom he has chosen. Those that he has chosen believe by faith in him. It has nothing to do with race or DNA. Paul was emphatic
About this. This is why today for those that are in Christ their is no preference of people. One people
Is no better than another. Everyone who is in Christ
Are of the same family. All have been joined together.
What God has joined together let no man put asunder.
When Pilate had the inscription placed above Jesus
It said Jesus of Nazereth “King of the Jews”.
Jesus is King of those who have been circumcised
By God in accordance to the spirit of the law and not the letter. He is King of all who believe in him. To those who do not believe he is not king. Their are two peoples as I see it. Gentile sinners as Paul says in Galatians or Jews by birth. For he says that Jews by birth know that salvation comes through faith in Christ.
The birth he is speaking of here is new birth, being born again as he told Nicodemus what he needed to have happen to him. This is why you can be absolutely convinced that this applies to you a child of the King living in Canada. You are a Jew. God has said so

      1. Todd, there are some who might think this de-legitimates Israel. Personally, I don’t think that.
        Today, ‘his own’ includes Christians.
He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
But as many as received him, to them gave he power TO BECOME the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
        John 1

In the context of those verses from John 1 “his own”
were Israelites. Most of his own did not receive him,
but some did. It was only those that received/ believed
Him that were given power To Become the sons or children of God. The power that was given them was the power of rebirth. Until they received or believed
They were not sons or children. This is the same power that anyone who receives Jesus is given.
It is the sons or children that are heirs. Those of his own who did not receive were not sons and therefore
Not heirs. They were not born of God. It is only those then and now who are born of God that are the sons or children of God. And of course this includes Gentiles who are born again. Adoption makes them
Heirs along with them. The seed of Abraham is Jesus and all who are in Christ are the seed of Abraham. Only those in Christ are heirs of the promise.

    1. Todd, I don’t disagree with anything your wrote. Jesus was sent to the lost sheep of Israel. His whole ministry was to Jews in Judea and Samaria, the Roman occupied territories. I don’t think “Christian” was in use as a term during his lifetime, but that does not affect my Faith in God through Christ Jesus Today.

[9] Blessed ARE the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
      Matt. 5
I think this transcends Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Unfortunately, if I am to believe Israeli media, this last summer saw right wing Jews attacking other Jews calling for Peace with Palestinians. What can you make of that?

What do you think moved Christ to ask this question? ‘Nevertheless when the Son of man comes, shall he find Faith on the earth?’

      Peace

      1. Hi Ray
In my understanding of the peacemaker verse, I don’t think he means making peace with others. While it is good to be at peace with others and to make peace with others, this is not what makes us children of God.
But making peace with God through Christ Jesus does. We were before at enmity with God
But when we believed in the one
Who is our peace (Christ Jesus)
We the enmity ceased. These are the peace makers. Being in Christ
Makes me want to be at peace with all men. The only way for peace to take place between Jews and Arabs is when both have made peace with God Through Yeshua. The gospel can do this but neither want to hear it.
