Pope Francis should be canonized for reaching out to gay people, says Elton John.
British singer says the pontiff’s attempt to change Catholic church is ‘formidable’ as he hosts annual Aids benefit concert
Sir Elton John has called Pope Francis his “hero” for his compassionate drive to accept gay people in the Catholic church.
At John’s annual Aids benefit concert in New York City, the singer said Francis was pushing boundaries in the church and told the crowd: “Make this man a saint now, OK?”
“Ten years ago one of the biggest obstacles in the fight against Aids was the Catholic church. Today we have a pope that speaks out about it,” said John, earning cheers from the attendees at Cipriani’s on Wall Street.
Catholic bishops scrapped their landmark welcome to gays earlier this month, showing deep divisions at the end of a two-week meeting sought by Francis to chart a more merciful approach to ministering to Catholic families.

My comment:
It is surely much easier for become a “sir” than to become a Roman Catholic “saint”.
Elton John is not concerned about Cannon law. Nor the Word of God. This homosexual singer just want to praise a Pope that do not call homosexuality a sin, and do not call gays to repent.
Since the Pope is considered infallible in matters of declaring that a “saint” has reached heaven, he can not make him self a saint. Simply by being present on Earth. Only a departed soul can be canonized. His remains in the grave has to be exhumed, the bones examined, and two witnesses must have come forward. They must both testify that a miracle has taken place, after they asked for the intersession of the departed soul. If miracles can not be confirmed, the Pope can not declare that the soul has entered the Kingdom of Heaven.
That all this stuff amount to blasphemy against the Word of God, is neither a concern for Elton John, nor the Pope.

The Bible says NO MAN shall ask a departed soul for consultation and intersession. We are called to leave the dead to God the Father. Make your prayers to the living God only. The only name a Christian shall use, is the name of Yeshua the Messiah. (Jesus).

Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men.
That the Pope has become a “hero” for Sir Elton John, will surly create enthusiasm among lesbians, homosexuals, transsexuals and other perverts. But among Evangelical Christians it is just another sign that the Pope is a lawless man, who do not represent God of the Bible.
May all homosexuals be told what the Bible says about their rebellion. May they ask Jesus the Messiah to change them, so they will get a desire to sleep with the opposite sex, swear an oat of marriage and stay faitfull to their life partner as husband and wife. Amen.

While I believe that we should be kind and compassionate toward those who identify as homosexuals, we still must be very firm in teaching them that the Bible says that what they are doing constitutes sin.

the Pope’s recent pronouncements have shown RCC’s true colors. He has cunningly put together worldly beliefs as being “in conjunction” with Bible teachings, thus effectively deceiving sinners that what they are doing is actually acceptable! Let us pray that people won’t fall into this deception! Homosexuality is a sin, just like adultery and murder….but God is also a merciful God, He’s still giving us sinners a chance to confess our sins, accept Jesus into our lives, renounce our sinful past, repent. But we must do it NOW, not a second later, before its too late my friends! God bless!
So What’s next ? Papa Bear Francis will come out stating that Man/Boy Pedophilia is legal and natural as long as mutual love is being shared.

Anyone who claims to be in Christ
Cannot be engaged in sexual immorality. Sexual perversion of any kind is sin. It is not to exist in the kingdom of God. Anyone who is not in Christ is free to live in sin and will suffer the consequences of living in it.
God calls homosexuality sin. It must not be accepted and or tolerated in
the church. Unfortunately it is becoming accepted. Believers are forbidden to engage in sexual immorality. Anyone who is in Christ has been made a new person. They agree because of their love and belief

He said that he did not come to condemn but too save. We must find a way to reach out to them. They are in need of rescue but they don’t think they are. The spirit of Christ must remove the blinders so they can see.

I agree, Todd. Homosexuals are enslaved by their sin. The honest among them even admit that their depravity is the source of much suffering. The misery of their slavery has prompted the very high rate of alcohol and drug addiction (as well as suicide) among them. I suspect that is why they seek the “respectability” and “stability” of “marriage”. But a “marriage” that is based on sexual perversion can never succeed in bringing them the happiness they crave. I have met a few of them and I have often observed a profound sadness in them. What they need is a surrender to Christ and to come out of their slavery. Sadly, most of them won’t. They will continue to live the lie and suffer misery until the end of their days.
If there is no excuse for adulterers, idolaters, and even rebellious children, then why would God spare homosexuals? The Old Covenant is not obsolete, It is very much existent today and will be for eternity because the Word of God is a statute. It is the wicked men of the Earth that have deceived the Christians that the Old Covenant is done away with.
Punishment for rebellious children: Deuteronomy 21:18-When anyone has a stubborn and rebellious son, who will not obey the voice of his father or the voice of his mother and when they have chastened him, will not hearken unto them, (19)- then, his father and mother must take hold of him and bring him to the elders of his city, to the gate of his hometown. (20)- They will say to the elders of his city, ‘This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious; he doesn’t obey us. He’s a glutton and a drunkard.’ 21:21-Then all the men of the city shall STONE him to death with stones. So you shall purge the evil from your midst, and all Israel shall hear, and fear.
Punishment for Homosexuals: Leviticus 20:13-When a man has sexual intercourse with another man as with a woman, both men are doing something disgusting and must be put to death. They deserve to die. (the punishment again was STONING to death as with ALL other sins mentioned in the book of Leviticus.
God loves & forgive the sinner if he truly repents otherwise its an absolute no, no, to both sin and sinner.
