Rory Alec has stepped down from his role as leader of God.tv because of a ‘moral failure’ in his marriage.
Rory Alec said he was handing over the running of God TV, a worldwide network that got its start in Britain, to his wife Wendy.
He did not elaborate – but religious figures have quit similar positions in the past after having extramarital affairs.
Alec and his wife Wendy, who launched God TV from their London home in 1996, have been married for 27 years.
In a brief statement, South African-born Alec said: ‘After 20 years of service, I have had a moral failure this year. For this reason, I am stepping down.
‘Please forgive me for the disappointment I’ve caused, but I know your eyes are on Jesus who is the author and finisher of your faith and not on me, an imperfect man.

Charisma News has learned that Benny Hinn will be in the studio with Wendy on Wednesday, and other leaders from the body of Christ are actively ministering to the couple hoping to bring restoration. Please pray for the Alecs, GOD TV and their staff.

First I want to underline. I am not interested in throwing stones on Rory Alec. I hope and pray that Alec has learned his lesson, will repent, and that Jesus the Messiah will restore him. And that his marriage will recover from his adulatory.
My problem is with all the heretic stuff that is published on this TV channel. God.tv has since its formation been an epic center for distribution of false prophecies and teachings of the Word of Faith movement. False prophets like Benny Hinn seems to have unlimited access to their studios. And false teachers like Kenneth Copland and Joel Osteen is permitted to say all kinds of baloney stuff without being corrected.
When God.tv was the culprit behind the global outpouring of false spirits during the so called “Lakeland revival”, I became convinced that I should start to warn Christians about the damage this ministry can create. It would be wise to switch off this TV-station, and rather go to a public park and share the gospel. Or to visit the neighbor for a cup of coffee.
One of the gross errors is to promote a “billion soul” end time revival. This is the height of unbiblical stuff, since Jesus the Messiah has foretold a catastrophic falling away in the last days. The hero of our days will be the last antichrist, hailed by the multitudes. Only a few people in the last generation will hold on to the narrow path, and make it through the narrow gate.
‘Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
Now, one of the founders of this Charismatic TV-ministry has fallen away, by trying to make it through the wide gate. Let us therefore pray that the children of Jesus learn from this, and do not give up their faith in the Messiah. And that they stop listing to TV-ministers who completely lack discernment, and who finance and support this never ending, 24 hours a day, outpouring of mostly falsehood.
May Jesus the Messiah have mercy on all deceived souls. Amen.

Trouble is, many people who don’t have the Internet can only ever access stuff like you’ve just written about. It’s the same with two radio stations here in England. Anything BUT the Gospel for much of the time. I know who I’ll hear and sadly, it can never be these stations parading as Christian. None of them are.
Because the fallen church believes they replaced Israel as the Church when the bible plainly says when we except Christ as savior we are grafted into Israel who will always own the olive tree. and share with them in the coming kingdom.Since ten or more years ago I started going to a Jewish Messianic Cong and learned the truth. so many yrs all my life listening to so many of false teachings , it was so good to really see the truth and how they all never even mentioned Israel or the Jews except to steal all the promies G-d gave to the Jews as a everlasting Covenant. thank the L-rd there are people like Ivar that teaches and warns and how we KNOW the truth. One scripture I read each day is how G-d again will have compassion on the Jews. and when HE stands on the Mt of Olive, brings up the dead as the others see His Nail Scared Hands and mourns like for a first child and He says I am your G-d and they agree and said He came with Redemption ..and then says ALL Israel will be saved and we know HE blinded them for us heathen so we would have the power to become sons of G-d we owe the Jews a debt and suport and love as they gave us Messiah , the prophets and the scripture. they are my heart and the heart of G-d shalom
He also said in the last days it is the Jews where Revival is to happen and is and that the apostasy in the churches is happening world wide
From Rory to Wendy is but one heretic to a greater heretic, teeteting with god she says, except to Zech Ch 5 the flying scroll (Freemasonry) & the wickedness in an Ephah that governs it.
Who is the greater heretic? The one who says ” I can ask anything in Jesus name and receive it. Or the one who says “faith in Christ isn’t enough, we must also keep Moses law”?
Remember! The Holy Ten are not Moses, they are Gods! Big difference, many of them.
The apostle Paul told us the law is one. The ten commandments are all part of that law. Break the least, and you are guilty of breaking them all.
Sorry Phil, one was written by God, one by Moses. One lasts forever, one ended at the cross. One is perfect, one not. One was put inside of the ark, one on the side of the ark. There are many more differences, all from the Bible.
As i previously said, big difference.
I am surprised to hear Rory moral failure .They were already out from gospel ministry to money begging
Instead calling it God tv better to call it money begging tv
Phil, on the law, you could not be more wrong! Do i really need to school you on the many many differences? One by Moses, one by God. One lasts forever, one ends at cross, one….
if you get a sandwich with bad lettuce, do you automatically throw out the tomatoes and onions and all? No, i think you have an elementary understanding of the law. Obviously!!! With no love for Christ, one would not ‘get it’! See John 14:15…then requote the misunderstanding that you have with Paul. kinda comical really! i know, maybe you can write a book on this too =O
we are discussing this issue under the ‘Baker, Jesus and weird fish’ thread, so go there to see my answers.
you did comment, falsely by the way, on the law above. just want the educated followers of this site realize that some of us on here have a brain that is working still =)
