Israeli Finance Minister says that peace is possible with unity government if Hamas recognizes Israel, “PLO used to be a terrorist organization”.
Finance Minister Yair Lapid said that future peace talks with a Palestinian unity government including Hamas could be possible, reported the Wall Street Journal on Friday.
Though Lapid did clarify that he is currently against any talks that include Hamas elements, his comments went against sentiments from most Israeli officials including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who expressed strict opposition to the possibility of any such talks since the end of a recent 9-month period of peace talks.
According the Wall Street Journal, Lapid said that Hamas, widely considered to be a terrorist organization, would first have to recognize the State of Israel and renounce violence, but included that such a change in policy is not unheard of.
Lapid, who is also Chairman of the Yesh Atid political party and sits on Israel’s security cabinet, quoted former Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin saying, “We negotiate for peace as if there is no terror, and fight terror as if there is no peace.”

My comment:
Yair Lapid have to be careful not to accept Hamas based on an oral statement from one of its leaders. Many Islamic terror-organizations talk with two tongues, or a split tongue.
And by the way: The PLO is still an Islamic terror organization. Despite a lot of dilly dallying and contradicting messages related to the question of recognizing Israel.
It the Hamas ever “recognizes” Israel,what about their Fascist ideology based on achieving Islamic World dominance?
Is is ok for Lapid if Hamas only kill and slaughter non-Jews?
What about Muslims slaughtering Muslims, and enforcing totalitarianism on each other?
Lapid needs to acknowledge, that Fascists who have got their hands on power, can not be removed by peaceful means. There is hardly any difference between Nazism and Radical Islamic forces. This kind of cancers must be completely contained and isolated. If civilized cultures allows Fascism to grow, history explains: A war of civilizations is not avoidable.
Jesus the Messiah warned us. There will be terrible days ahead. Just before His return, the Israelis will live with horror and distress, unequal to what has taken place before. The Jewish people have committed horrible mistakes in the past. It sees that they are again going to be repeated.
Only the return of the Messiah can bring true peace. First and foremost to each individual who accepts Him as Lord and Savior. Amen.

Since Article 13 of the Hamas Charter reads:
“There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad”
while article Article 7 of the Hamas Charter reads:
“The Day of Judgement will not come about until Moslems fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Moslems, O Abdulla, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him”.
and since Article 7 is taken from Hadith Bukhari Volume 4, Book 52, Number 177 and quotes the Prophet Muhammad:
