Matthew 17:27
“Then the sons are exempt,” Jesus said to him. “But so that we may not offend them, go to the lake and throw out your line. Take the first fish you catch; open its mouth and you will find a four-drachma coin. Take it and give it to them for my tax and yours.”
To explain many points, the students of Jesus were told to go and collect money for paying tax from from the mouth of a fish. The Master explained to His students that they did not have to pay tax, but that they should pay anyhow. Simply because people of this World could put them into trouble as claimed to be «tax defaulters». Since Jesus came from Heaven, and gave us a citizenship in Heaven, all we have belongs to our Father in Heaven.
The reason The Messiah had Peter(not all His disciples) do a type of penance(no not the catholic variety) was because Peter had told a lie and such penance was to lend credence to Peter’s ill spoken word so that others would have no reason to speak evil of The Messiah and His disciples…….
“citizenship(Life) in Heaven” to be sure!
“strangers(aliens) and pilgrims while on this earth” indeed and Truth…….
Father Yahweh to the called out ones.
Come see what great things your Father is doing in your life time.

Remember too the Law as it is written in Deut.12:5
And do not be a fool as Yahshua Messiah warned in Luke 24:25.
May the same Spirit that inspired the Hebrew prophets and the apostles of Yahshua Messiah to write to us bless your understanding in your search for truth.
