Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Hayel Dawood claim Israeli authorities “allowing Zionist extremists to enter Al Aqsa Mosque”.
His remarks came in a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
On Monday morning, Jewish extremists stormed into Al Aqsa Mosque, hoisted the Israeli flag at King Faisal Gate, one of the gates of Al Haram Al Sharif, or noble sanctuary, and performed rituals there, under the protection of the Israeli forces.
The minister’s statement described the act as “a grave violation”.
Dawood said such a behaviour “constitutes a provocation to the feelings of 1.7 billion Muslims across the world.
This provocation, he said, “took place on the same day of the ascent to Mount Arafat” near Mecca, at the zenith of the Hajj, major pilgrimage.
In the statement, which the minister issued from Mount Arafat, he said Jerusalem is an occupied city as defined by international conventions, noting that preserving the security of the city is part of the duties of the occupying authorities, in pursuance of international law. Therefore, he said, the Israeli authorities must maintain the status quo of the city and stop violating the sanctity of Al Aqsa Mosque.
Dawood called on the UN and other concerned international parties, the Organisation of the Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League to act swiftly to prevent Israeli occupation authorities from continuing with their provocative acts in the Old City of Jerusalem and its holy sites, mainly Al Aqsa Mosque.

For the Western civilization, it is difficult to discern such media reports from Jordan.
The moderate Islamic Kingdom of Jordan seems to copy the messages of Islamic Jihad. But please do not forget, that the ministers in Jordan are scared they too will be beheaded. Just like “moderates” in Libya, Yemen and Syria. So the Jordanian media must throw some trash at Israel once in a while, to try to avoid a public uprising in support of Islamic Jihad.
Why are the antisemitic Arabian public angry?
The Kingdom of Jordan made a peace treaty with Israel in 1994, which was the second Arabic nations recognizing the state of Israel.
Islamic Jihad has bluntly swore that the leaders in Jordan shall face the same destiny as the other Arabs who have been slain for “allah”.
For Israel it will be very troublesome if Jordan become another Syria. The border between Israel and Jordan has been safe for many decades. If Jordan goes the Jihadi way, Israel is in for as much trouble as they got in 1967 and 1973. The Jewish state will again be forced to fight an all out war with its unfriendly and hostile Muslim neighbors.
Let us hope and pray that Jesus the Messiah keeps Israel safe, and that all Israelis will understand He is the Messiah. Amen.
