Matthew 26:28
This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

The Messiah would bring in a new covenant, as explained by the prophet Jeremiah in chapter 33. God of the Bible had demanded blood to forgive the sins of the Jewish people. Jesus the Messiah did redeem the Jews from their sins with His own blood. And not only the Jews, but every human being on Earth. The Jewish Messiah is both the redeemer of Israel, and the savor of both Jews and gentiles.
