A chemical attack may be launched on Israel by Syrian rebels from government-controlled territories as a “major provocation”, a number of sources have told RT.
The news comes as Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov proposed that Syria puts its chemical weapons arsenal under international control for subsequent destruction in order to prevent a possible military strike against the war-torn republic.
Moscow also urged the Syrian authorities to join the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. The offer has already been passed over to the Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Muallem, who met Lavrov in Moscow for talks on Monday.
“We don’t know if Syria will accept the offer, but if imposing international control over chemical weapons stored in the country can help to avoid military strikes, we are immediately going to start working with Damascus,” Lavrov said.

Please do not rely on Russian TV, alone. The Russians have taken side, and want the despotic Basher al-Assad regime to continue. You need to take a balanced view, and reason.
If you want Israel to bomb Syria, the best way to achieve this, is to provoke the Jewish nation. Israel will have to respond immideately to use of chemical gas against its people.
Basher al-Assad do not want to fight a war with Israel, at a time where islamic Jihad is threatening his regime. To attack Israel will be suicidal. No secular Arab looks for a way to commit suicide. Not even a dictator.
Islamic Jihad do not mind committing suicide. That is why they send suicide bombers, and even slaughter Muslims gathered to pray in their Mosques.

Whichever way you look at it, you gotta give the Russians a complement for investigating alternatives to an armed conflict. Something Mr Obama appears unwilling or unable to do. Too harsh?
Obama is totally owned by the “military-industrial complex” that a departing President Eisenhower warned the nation of, back in 1960. And the military-industrial complex LIKES armed conflict because they make handsome profits off of it.

Different agencies estimated that yearly, over 1.5 trillion dollars are spent on military expenditures worldwide (2.7% of Worlds GDP). War, death and slaughter is big business. The worst thing that can happen to arm producers and users is a lasting peace.
