Netanyahu promise Syria deep trouble if Israel is attacked

Israeli Prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu responds to Syrian threats: Israel is ready for any scenario.

Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon must not advice Netanyahu to get involved in the civil war in Syria.
Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon must not advice Netanyahu to get Israel involved in the civil war in Syria.

• Israeli officials believe chances of Syrian attack on Israel are low

• However, if Syria does strike Israel, this will lead to downfall of Assad regime, they say.

The winds of war are blowing through the Middle East. The U.S., Britain and France are preparing to attack Syria while Israel is trying to stay out of the picture.

However, on Tuesday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a warning to Syria in response to threats that Syria would strike Israel in retaliation for Western military action.

“The State of Israel is ready for any scenario,” Netanyahu said. “We are not part of the civil war in Syria but if we identify any attempt whatsoever to harm us, we will respond, and we will respond with great might.”

Meanwhile, Yaakov Amidror, Netanyahu’s national security adviser, met in Washington on Tuesday with his U.S. counterpart, Susan Rice.

Also on Tuesday, Netanyahu convened a urgent meeting with high-level officials — including Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon, Strategic Affairs Minister Yuval Steinitz, Homefront Defense Minister Gilad Erdan and Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Benny Gantz — to discuss Israel’s security situation.

My comment:

I fail to understand what Israel want to achieve by contributing to the removal of the regime of dictator Basher Al Assad.

Since 1973, the Israeli-Syrian front have de facto experience peace, hardly a bullet been fired across the cease fire lines.

Those who would like Syria actively participate in the ongoing Jihad against “Zionism”, will rejoice the day Basher is gone.  The regime that follows, will not be more pro-Israel, but most likely another Islamic state, Libyan-styled, or a copy of the chaotic Iraq.

Islam is not the solution. Islam is the cause of the wickedness and violence we see across the Middle East.

 Psalm 120:7

I am for peace; but when I speak, they are for war.

The solution can be found in the Bible. There you will read about God of Israel, and the salvation He has granted the World. Only in Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God, there is peace and salvation. Amen.

  1. As Christians we actively pray for the peace of Jerusalem and that Mr Netanyahu will not have to make the terrible decision of going to war. Israel surely is not war mongering against Syria, the situation seems to be complicated but the God of Israel holds all wisdom.
