Willow Creek takes you back home to Rome

Now people visiting Rome will ask, where was the Apostle Peter imprisoned and buried.

Pastor Andy Stanley is either disconnected, or a calculated deceiver of the flock.
Pastor Andy Stanley is either disconnected, or a calculated deceiver of the flock.

These are the words of pastor Andy Stanley in the Willow Creek movement. He spoke to church leaders during the last session of the Global Ledership Summit on Friday.

Stanley wondered aloud, in front of the audience of about 75,000 people watching from sites all across America, if Paul could have imagined on the way to his execution that one day the Roman Empire would fall but Christianity would remain.

Could he have imagined, Stanley asked, that people would travel to Rome and ask not where the ancient emperors are buried, but ask where he was imprisoned and where the Apostle Peter is buried? Or did he wonder if the church would be “snuffed out” like his own life would soon be?

Stanley then took a moment to address discouraged church leaders, and reminded them that Christ will build his church with these words: “In your most discouraging moment, and the time when you think it’s not working, that it is all in vain…there is a cross hanging over the Emperor’s Gate in the Roman Colosseum.”

Stanley’s message concluded the two-day event, which was broadcast from Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington, Ill., to more than 230 locations throughout the U.S. Later this year, an estimated 100,000 people across 100 different nations will watch the messages presented this week.

My comment:

It is sad that the Willow Creek movement spread Catholic mythology and Papal dogmas.  If you accept the Roman Catholic claim that the Apostle Peter was imprisoned, crucified and buried in Rome, you are on the edge of submitting to the Papacy.

Because the so-called Petrine theology of the Vatican movement stands and falls, on the claim that the Pope is a successor of Peter.  And sine the Pope also preach about “Jesus”, the logic of  this Willow Creek pastor, is that Rome must be a true Church.

And since the Vatican is the head of a true Church, why don’t accept the Popes leading role in bringing all Christians into unity?

The truth is that there is no evidence what so ever that Peter even traveled to Rome. This idea was launched in the pagan empire in Rome, who wanted to have the leading role within Christendom. An heretical apocrypha was written, to please the emperor and his pope, claiming that Peter was crucified in Rome, on an up side down cross.  The whole foundation of the Roman Catholic Church is built on this falsehood.

If a lie is told hundred million times, it is still a lie. Even if 100.000 leaders of the Willow Creek Movement joins this fabrication of Church history.

Second: Do Willow Creek know where Jerusalem is located?

And the graves inside Israel, of both the patriarchs and some apostles?

Is the city of David less important than the seat of the claimed “Holy father”?

You can not have it both ways. Either you will be on your way home to Rome, or you will stand with a united Jerusalem.

Jesus of the Bible is surely building His church. False Churches are built by copycat Messiah’s, like “Jesus of Rome”.

  1. As far as, i know, Apostle peter, certainly was not buried in rome, or if he was, his coffin was carried there.
My understanding of Church history/theology, tells me that peter NEVER went to rome, simply because he was Apostle to the jews, and not the gentiles.

And what a poor example of a so called pope too.
Rebuked for his hypocrisy,he denied christ three times. he was also married.
    ??
It is about time, that more of you roman catholics realised that, you have been following the babylonian doctrines, ( of demonic origin
    repent, and get saved…!!!

The roman catholic so called church, is

    The Whore Of babylon.

  2. Well, I wouldn’t say that “she” alone is the “Whore of Babylon”. But “she” is likely the prime mover in Satan’s “church” since the RCC primarily promotes everything BUT the true, orthodox, Biblical faith. Watch for the RCC to move toward accepting the notion of reincarnation. Then you will know that the “one-world religion” is upon the world–because one of its central doctrines will be reincarnation, as Satan’s substitute for resurrection. And the only thing standing in the way of being able to confuse the masses as to the vast difference between the two (resurrection vs. reincarnation) is the word of God–Hebrews 9:27–“And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment…” Does Satan want to destroy the word of God so that it will not show him to be the imposter he is? It is a certainty.

The other major religions of the world already accept reincarnation, Sufi Islam does as does Buddhism and Hinduism, of course. The exception would be conventional Judaism, but the bastardized form of Judaism, Kabbalism does indeed accept reincarnation–they even boldly say so on their official website. It is no accident that the whores of Hollywood have taken up Kabbalism as a popular religion. The Judeo-Christian faith is based on truth as found in the pages of Scripture. All other religions are based on “mysticism” which leads each adherent into a “truth” of his/her own design.

The final battle between God’s Kingdom and the “kingdom” of Satan is shaping up. The world will watch in shock and awe as the Lord Jesus Christ destroys all of His enemies.

  3. Hebrews 9:27–“And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment…”
Of course. No argument their accept for the idiots that think that passage denies the fundamental laws of reincarnation. Anyone who understands even the basics behind God’s law of reincarnation knows there is indeed a summation and a very serious “judgement” after every single earthly embodiment for any soul. Rod Romney late beloved pastor of Seattle First Baptist even wrote an excellent book titled “Why I believe in Reincarnation.”

There is not one passage anywhere in the King James Bible that denies reincarnation, but there is a tremendous volume of support to found there which anyone who can read English can find for himself or herself.
