Barack Hussein Obama refused to be a part of the National day of Christian prayer. But at the start of the weekend the US President greeted the Muslims at their start of the month of Ramadan.
During the press conference in the US on Friday, President Obama addressed the Muslim World with his greetings:
«Ramadan’s rituals are a reminder of the principles Muslims and Christians have in common, including advancing justice, progress, tolerance and the dignity of all human beings».
What he should have said is:
«What is separating Muslims and Christians, is that Jesus have promised to save all Christians, who believe in Him as the only begotten Son of God. As a Christian I hope and pray that all Muslims will accept salvation in the name of Jesus, whom they consider only to be a mortal prophet».
Obama could also have addressed the Muslim by telling them about the core values of the United States:
«Christians knows that just before the return of the Jewish Messiah Jesus, there will be an antichrist coming. He will deceive many, and try to bring a false peace to the Middle East, that is not based on truth. As the President of the USA, I serve a Constitution who is based up on Christian values founded on the principles of the Law of Moses, the common ground and road map of the Judeo-Christian understanding of good moral, human rights, freedom and liberty».
There was also a need for Obama to address the problems in the Muslim World, by telling them the truth:
«Based on an agenda of Islam supremacy, the Muslim World is today crippled by followers of lies and deception. There has to be an end to violence as a tool to achieve political goals. There can be no true peace in the Middle East before the Muslim nations recognizes the right of the Jewish state of Israel to exist».
In stead of telling the truth, the President of the United states told the same message that will be told by the last antichrist:
«The U.S. support for a two-state solution recognizing the rights of Israelis and Palestinians to live in peace and security. All of these efforts are part of America’s commitment to engage Muslims and Muslim-majority nations on the basis of mutual interest and mutual respect»
Obama said in the message posted on the White House Web site. «And at this time of renewal, I want to reiterate my commitment to a new beginning between America and Muslims around the world».

The reference in Daniel 11;37 regarding the “desire of women” is a reference to abortion. Since when is the “desire of women” to be a homosexual? I have never heard nor have I read that into the scripture. The reason I say that he will have no use for a woman or man for that matter, sexually, is that there is no sex in heaven nor in hell for that matter. I apologize if my comments seemed contradictory. I have a bad habit of making tongue-in-cheek statements. I am trying to speak of the anti-Christ in the apocalyptic text of the book of Revelations. The book in which the doomsday prophecies that I seem to be reading on this site are derived from. the message that I was trying to convey within my statement was that the scripture within 1 John and the scripture within Revelation seems to be contradictory when you factor in the history behind these works, and the general history of how scrolls that have comprised the bible were composed and ordered.
I have seen in several points on your site where you are criticizing the Catholic faith, but it was the Catholics of the Holy Roman empire that compiled the hundreds of scrolls of early Christian faith into the Bible as we all know it. It was afterwords when Martin Luther questioned the authoritarian control of the salvation of Christians that scripture was made to the public in their own language.
My point is that the Bible is a culmination of only the most popular and widely acknowledged scrolls among early Christians. There were several Apocalyptic texts that were very popular among early Christian sects. The Revelation of Saint John the divine was the only one that made the cut because it tied off the book nicely. What better way to end a book that began with the birth of all things than with an explanation of the end of all things? Plus, the prose that is the Revelation is so esoteric that one could apply it’s teaching and message to anytime that is felt as relevant. Which it has been in many different times, and by very different people leading up to this day, all of which have been incorrect.
I’m sorry to ramble on in such a way that I have. With the narration that is the human existence playing out as it has, I almost wonder if God ever intended us to put a Bible together, let alone end it. Maybe the knowledge of God’s teachings should have been a continuing process. I think that we are endangering and cutting ourselves off from god by solely trusting an establishment.
Jesus, the man, questioned such practices by the Jewish Temples. How can we be so sure that the word we follow is the final word?
I do not see the bible as one book man compiled, but as many letters and historical writings fully inspired by God’s Holy Spirit that all relate and read smoothly as the First (old) Covenant foreshadows the New Covenant who is the person of Jesus Christ (Messiah Yeshua). Regardless of what the RCC did or does, they did not decide what is God’s Word. For example, the RCC added what some Jewish believers deem historical books like the book of Wisdom into the First Covenent when those books have never been acknowledged as inspired by anyone but the RCC. They added them and use the lies within them to support Mary remaining a virgin after Jesus’ birth, her sinlessness, her ascension into heaven, praying to her, the belief in purgatory, and beliefs in praying for the dead. I love the Catholic believers and my point is even though i disagree with some doctrine I can know God’s Word is infallible because He promised it would not return null or void. I do agree that the current accepted order is not chronological. Though it is not absolutely known what order a few of the letters in the New Covenant should be in. Frank Viola addresses this in his book Pagan Christianity.
Nero cannot be the final Anti-christ. As you and others pointed out, there have been other anti-christs since him. There is a FINAL Anti-christ and he will fulfill the prophecies in the First and New Covenent. Nero did not fulfill all of them, namely a peace agreement. Also there has not been a world war that all the enimies of Israel have been destroyed. Their enemies remain.
Concerning thr use of end times prophecies being used at anytime to fit the current day and time, this cannot be done because as you said the claims were false. They were false because they did not compare ALL the prophecies to that day and time. They typically only use a few prophecies and squeeze them into what they wnt to fit. Ivar has not done this. He has said the President is possibly one (of many) who will help usher in the final Anti-christ. It is a warning of what MIGHT be around the corner. But, he has not claimed to know who, know when, or lie. (Not that you have or accused him. Im just trying to point out that Ivar is not a fraud but a reader and seeker of truth who wants to share what he has found and what he is thinking about.)
Sorry this response is two years later. I just got an email one one person who responded to this thread a few days ago and so i started reading through this thread again.
Nero can not be The anti-Christ.
In Revelations 20:4 in the last part of the verse you see that they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. In the second verse it says that Satan is put into the bottomless pit for a 1000 years.
So, for Nero to be The anti-Christ not only would Armageddon have to occurred but Christ would have to have ruled on this earth for a 1000 years already and that would put us into the shorten time that Christ releases Satan. That shortened season is by my guess only around 300 years at best.
By that calculation we should be living on the new earth where there is no sin and also no need for this discussion.
Point being there is by anyones vision still great sin on this earth so how could this be the new earth?

God’s word can be read by many and have different meanings to each but if they contradict each other someone is wrong.
however, the 1000 year reign is supposed to occur after the beast has been destroyed. So, bare with me, if Nero is the Antichrist that John was eluding toward then we thus see the paradox of the prophecy and how the revelation has been interpreted. There has been no 1000 year reign without sin or evil, no new Jerusalem, No new heaven, no new earth. Nothing happened when Nero died. There are several accounts in history of Christians believing the end of the world was near… nothing happened. The first Millennium began… Nothing happened. The second Millennium… nothing happened. If the world as we know it is supposed to end in the way that has been interpreted thus far, you can see signs anywhere, within every strange occurrence. You may call me a cynic by my comments (I probably deserve it), but I ask this question: what if the bible was not supposed to end with the Revelation? What if we were always supposed to work together to attain a direct connection with god and continue to spread our findings?

If the Bible is man made, we are all lost in a man made religion. But what Christians believe, is that Jesus is alive! He quoted from the scriptures in front of thousands of Jews. There were 500 witnesses who saw the risen Lord.
The Papacy of Rome did not vote the Revelation of John into the Bible. In 325 A.D the Papal system was in its infancy, and the church councils were attended by bishop and Christian leaders that was not yet, under the control of the Emperor of Rome, who suddenly claimed he had become a follower of the Jewish Messianic Faith. The risen Lord Jesus was surely present in the form of the Holy Spirit, and made the majority of Bishops vote as they were told to vote. The Book of Revelation of John was approved by the Spirit, who is the author of the visions. Amen.

The way of God is perfect, that is true. The word of the Lord is flawless, ok I can see that. So the way of man is fallible, I can concur. The word of the Bible is divinely inspired, ok there is nothing wrong with that there. What of the people who have lived within (going by your date) the 1,685 year span that has taken place afterwords? Have they not been Divinely inspired? Has God not spoken to anyone in that span of time? I’ve met quite a few people who say that he has. Surely everything hasn’t been said, otherwise we wouldn’t have the environmental problems that we have today that have been a direct result from our actions, our inventions. We are beginning to find connections between what we do and the weather patterns on this earth. Those who wrote the Bible had no idea of knowing this. It doesn’t seem that God has told them. Just as with any physical thing that happens there is a spiritual and mental occurrence that coincides along with it.
What if God intended us to avoid our Cataclysm? Did he intend us to only have what was in the bible?

So God may lead you to prophesy and me to evangelize and another to teach. Are we contradicting each other by being led to do different things? No, all of those are gifts of the Holy Spirit. We are one body with many parts. If one claims to preach but preaches of another christ then he is a false preacher. If one claims to speak a prophecy of warning but it contradicts what is already written then he is a false prophet. Good for you to ask these questions. Keep studying the Word and the Holy Spirit will lead you also. Remain with your mind and heart central on our Lord Jesus and you will never go too far off the path before the Spirit will lead you back. We know for sure that we are not going to suffer God’s wrath. We will surely escape the fire of Hell. But we have still not entered the Kingdom of Heaven, and will be badly persecuted. Last year 165.000 followers of Jesus was killed. They faced the same martyrdom as all the Apostles.
The wrath is different from the tribulation. Tribulation occurs before the wrath! Tribulation is the period of time leading up to the wrath! The wrath is executed by Jesus Christ at his second coming AFTER he has gathered up his saints: read Matthew–24! <3+!

I feel this “trial: can not be read as “trouble”. Because Jesus say we shall all be tested. But “trial” in the form of a legal process and judgment, yes. We shall not be tested (judged) like non believers.

I did not know what “false prosperity gospel” meant, so I looked it up. The internet meaning was: In the prosperity gospel, also known as the “Word of Faith,” the believer is told to use God, whereas the truth of biblical Christianity is just the opposite—God uses the believer.”
The pastor preaches from both the old and new testament. In No Way, does he or the church I attend believes in this false prosperity gospel. In No Way, can we as Christians use God. He is the King, and those that believe in him truly, will follow his teachings.
The church I attend believes that God will rapture the church before the tribulation (terrible time on earth) begins.

The oil Jesus speaks about, is not gasoline from the local petrol pump. But Oil that comes down from Heaven. It is refilled by Him, to those who are willing to work with Him.
If the virgins who left the building, knew the hour of His return, my best guess is that they would not have left. They had already received some oil, and obviously knew the Master.
If the virgins who did not leave the building knew the hour of His return, they would have gone on a holiday too, not being to worried about the Masters return. Just before He arrived, they would be back.

1) I am a bit confused on the comment that Rick Warren will be judged for allowing Pres Obama lay his hand on a bible and sware in. How is this Rick’s fault? I saw a few clips when Rick questioned the Pres about very serious subjects. I thought he did a good job in that situation.
2) I know I should just go read Revelation again, but I was hoping for a quick reference on where the final Anti-Christ will come from. I know a lot of scholars have said he will be from Europe. Is this true? Where can I find scripture?
3) I do not agree with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, but do you really think it is possible a pope will be the false prophet? I didn’t think so at first, but I read a book (fiction) using this as an example. In the book the current pope had a vision of Mary who told him who the leader of the one world religion will be. In the book the pope became the false prophet because he did not see Mary at all (because she’s human and not God or an Angle of course) but a demon. I know the book was fiction, but I can see this playing out. How do I explain this to my Catholic family when the time comes? They believe completely in the Catholic Church being the only true church.

My Comment: Anything is possible. The false prophet will perform lying wonders to convince others of his deeds. The pope does this today with “false excorcisms, stigmata wounds” claiming it is in the name of God. But it is Satan who is behind all of these, for only Jesus can heal, cast out demons, and more. The pope might not be “the” false prophet, but he is “a” false prophet, deceiving many. The list goes on with the catholic’s church sins: praying to statues, kissing dead bones. It is a sad sight to see- that many are lead to the wide gates of hell, because they refuse to see what the written word of God says.
Explain to your family and friends, what the pope teaches. It goes against the Holy Word of God.
For example: Romans 3:23 says for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
So Jesus says for ALL have sinned. He did not say except Mary. So why bow down to Mary when she was a sinner like you and me? Why pray to her? She cannot save us. She did not die on the cross for us. Even Mary followed Jesus.
Acts 1:14 All these with one accord were devoting themselves to prayer, together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers.
My advice is to seek Jesus. Do not heed the words of the poke. Seek Christ truthfully, read his Word, and he will be there.

Unfortunately, there are many who have “hardened” hearts, and will refuse to believe in the true Word of God. They believe what “man” has taught them, in this case the catholic church, and will find ways to deny the truth.
Matthew 13:14-15 explains it: Indeed, in their case the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled that says: “‘You will indeed hear but never understand, and you will indeed see but never perceive. For this people’s heart has grown dull, and with their ears they can barely hear, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and turn, and I would heal them.’
Quite a few of my husband’s family members are catholics, and it has not stopped me from showing them the true Word of God. All we can do Tifani is pray that they seek Jesus Christ, continue to speak to them about Jesus, and hope and pray that they stop believing in such a pagan (catholic) religion.

Hello after many years since this original post. Can someone point me to a scripture about the origins of the final Anti-christ? I have heard it said he will be from somewhere in Europe, the old Roman Empire, or a Muslim nation. I remember reading that he will come from an old Roman Empire nation, and the word Europe of course didnt exist and Islam didnt exist either. So why do some think that? I agree the Sabbath is and has always been on the 7th day of the week. BUT as a new covenant believer we do not have to keep the sabbath as the Jews were required to. We are no longer under the old law, but under the new law of grace. It doesnt mean we throw all the rules out. The new covenant clearly states what sin is and at the same time gives the individual believer the freedom in Christ: example is to have a beer as long as he doesnt sin by getting drunk. See what i mean? If you obey one part of the old law you MUST obey all of it. And that is impossible, which is why they had physical, blood sacrifices each year. Now we have the ultimate sacrifice, our Lord Jesus. And he said the law was summed up in two things: to Love the Lord and to love our neighbor as ourself. We celebrate the resurrection of our Lord on Sunday. We do not replace or move the Sabbath. The Sabbath is now everyday resting in the freedom (from our sin) in Christ! We have a permenant Sabbath!
