Beyond restoration: Jews must face tribulation and the return of the Messiah

Since 1948 and 1967, evangelical Christians have rejoiced with the Jewish people, the faithfulness of our God. But the Messiah did not promise us an easy go from these two victories. The rapture will not come before tribulation.

This boy most likely does not know the Messiah, who is his only hope.
This boy most likely does not know the Messiah, who is his only hope.

I wrote this letter to you, in a bid to open your heart to the Messiah. Only He can give you hope, and rest for your soul.

Yesterday, I read chapter 12 and 14 in the book of the prophet Zechariah:

Zechariah 14:12

«This is the plague with which the LORD will strike all the nations that fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh will rot while they are still standing on their feet, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths».

The last battle for Zion will not be a Sunday school for people who have disconnected them self from their creator, our father God in Heaven. There are many people who have died and perished in wars, victims of Nazi gas chambers and nuclear bombs in Hiroshima and Nagazaki. But to see standing people, whose eyes will rot in their sockets, will be like the most gruesome nightmare you can ever imagine.

These lost souls will be living people, men and women of blood and flesh. Seriously believing that they were doing something good for God. Even people claiming to be born again Christians will to late discover that they have been deceived by antichrist, worshiping a copy-cat Jesus. This tragedy is mentioned in Matthew 7:21-23:

The party will soon be over. Get ready for tribulation, wrath and judgment followed by glory.
The party will soon be over. Get ready for tribulation, wrath and judgment followed by eternal glory.

We can imagine it was gruesome for Lot, to experience that his wife disobeyed the order of the destruction angels, and looked back towards Sodoma and Gomora. She was Jewish. Still she perished.

In the same way the book of Revelation explains to us similar act of foolishness, by the people who are present on Earth, in the last days of the return of the Lion of Judah.

Revelation 9:6

«During those days men will seek death, but will not find it; they will long to die, but death will elude them».

Revelation 9:20

«The rest of mankind that were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshiping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood—idols that cannot see or hear or walk».

Repent. Make a U-turn, before it is to late. Do not go against the Word of God, and do not join the last battle against Jerusalem.

He who comes in the name of the Lord will save us!

  1. WOW…!!! ~~~> The rapture will not come before tribulation.
Ohh those words are a ‘stoning offence’ in many denominations!
Yet Praise be to God you will speak it out loudly, clearly…people must know, they must hear, read, see, any form of communication we can give them… Even nature tells us…when the birds and insects are quiet…Beware! ….Even the natural minded man is aware that something is ‘not right’…
But the hawkers are shouting all the more, get ready ‘this is your year…the ‘Me Year’….before the Great Rapture,… blessings due that you have believed God for, get ready…
I won’t take longer to express what is clearly expressed in this post….in each scripture in each line.. What I will say….Thank you…

This was done in 2009 and here we are in 2013 with far more wickedness removed from closets…they have removed the closet doors and let all the filth reign thru. And call it ”tolerance” of other people’s way of life and/or preference. Till the hated is loved and the loved is hated…Men and Women have no shame, no morality before God or man and the laws of the Land are supporting their choices. So Man have a choice to turn from that filth or …..burn in Hell with them! What surprises me is the Muslims who claim such morality, yet ….well let God handle that one!

    1. This was posted on my birthday. Praise be to the Father of all nations. Maybe once we clean up Israel we can focus on Mexico. Jesus has chosen his holy people.

  2. The rapture doesn’t come before the tribulation. Most Christians think so, but it is pure men-made wishful thinkings. When Christians in the tribulation are total broken, and cry for Jesus to come again, then He vil come and save us from the dangers.

    1. The jews will call the Messiah, whom they have pierced, to end the time of Jacob’s trouble. The bride of Christ will come with Jesus.

      1. impossible, as we are not appointed to the wrath of God; the Lord paid with his blood for our sin.

      2. I am a sinner, but I repented and gave my life to the Lord Jesus. He paid for my sin; God wrath is appeased as God see the Blood of Jesus shed on the Cross

      3. Don’t you live in a sinful World, and don’t you belong to a sinful Nation?
How would you than escape the wrath?
We see this wrath already, and we are still here.

      4. Noah, Lot and Enoch were also living in an ugly world, and God snatched them away before the flood and the fire.

      5. Liz,

You said: Most Christians think so, but it is pure men-made wishful thinkings.

My comment: I am one of those who think about a pre-trib rapture, but that is because several bible verses have pointed me in that direction. Now I’m not saying I can’t be wrong, I certainly can. And before I even post the Bible verses I speak about, I want to say that in no way and I thank Jesus for this, my way of thinking when the rapture occurs, hinders my salvation.

Isaiah 26:19-21. But your dead will live; their bodies will rise. You who dwell in the dust, wake up and shout for joy. Your dew is like the dew of the morning; the earth will give birth to her dead. Go, my people, enter your rooms and shut the doors behind you; hide yourselves for a little while until his wrath has passed by. See, the LORD is coming out of his dwelling to punish the people of the earth for their sins.

1 Thesslonians 4:15-17 According to the Lord’s own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

1 Thessalonians 5-8:11 But since we are of the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation.9For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,10who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we will live together with Him.11Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing.

Again I could be wrong, but when reading these I lean more towards that way.

      6. Revelation 3
10 Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.

  3. Amen Gloria and Stephan! 2 Timothy 4:8. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. Amen! He which testifies these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! Rev. 22:20&21

  4. I think that people believe in a pre trib rapture because that is what they have been taught. Many churches think Jesus is going to come and take them to heaven before the tribulation period and they wont see antichrist or the mark. That is what’s been taught in many churches since the 1800’s. That’s when this doctrine began.

If a person was unaware of all this and just got their doctrine from the Bible, instaed of forming a doctrine and trying to find support for it, the evidence is for two advents of Christ. Messiah ben Joseph and Messiah ben David, no Messiah ben secret rapture.

Jesus said He was coming back after the tribulation of those days. He also said that He would raise up whoever believed on Him on the last day, not seven years before the last day. Martha told Jesus she knew Lazarus would be raised from the dead on the last day. We aren’t getting out of here before Lazarus.

The first ressurrection is described in Revelation 20.

Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
Rev 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

Is there a resurrection before the first resurrection? Please show me where that is. You will notice that these saints had not worshipped the beast or his image or taken the mark. Instaed of looking to get out of here a person should be getting as strong in the Lord as they can so they will resist also, even unto death.

    1. I remember being taught some of the things that would take place in America, in the World and in the Church’s ”after the Rapture” that the Christians would never see…Well…we not only see them, but we have seen far worse in the World itself and we all have to live in and among all of it!!

    2. I think the Bible versus I have stated above can support a pretrib rapture. Like I said I can be wrong, but there is not just one verse to support it, there are a few.

But like i said before, thank God it does not hinder anyone’s salvation.

  5. HI Gloria,

I’d like to comment on your post. I don’t think a rapture belief will hinder someone’s salvation either, in and of itself. It could lead to problems down the road that could have been avoided though.

In the quote from Isaiah it says to hide, nothing about leaving.

In the 1st Thessalonians 4: 15-17 verses, the trump is the last trumpet.

1Co 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

    “…at the last trump…”

In the last verses the part about not being destined for wrath, that has already happened to us that are saved. We have been delivered by our Lord Jesus Christ. God will pour out His wrath on the world, not us. We will behold it with our eyes but it won’t come near us. Isn’t that what it says?

Psa 91:3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
Psa 91:4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
    Psa 91:5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
Psa 91:6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
Psa 91:7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
Psa 91:8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

    1. Hi Dave,

There are two pasasges that describe the same things, the last trump. The Corinthian passage, and the 1 Thessalonians 4:16 verse. Both signal the end of the church age, and the church will disapear from earth. If you notice, they say will be changed from our earth bodies to our heavenly ones.

The Word of God is a marvelous thing to read, pray on, and study.

      1. Dear Dave

Thanks for helping me, even tough you wanted to communicate with Gloria. I have been searching for this verse. Now, I found it:

        Revelation 11:15
[ The Seventh Trumpet ] The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah, and he will reign for ever and ever.”

        (end of scripture).

First when Jesus returns, the Kingdom of the World will be taken away from Satan. Something to reflect on, for all who tries to build the Kingdom of Jesus on Earth.

      2. Dear Dave

        Revelation 11:18.

        18 The nations were angry,
        and your wrath has come.
The time has come for judging the dead,
and for rewarding your servants the prophets
and your people who revere your name,
        both great and small—
and for destroying those who destroy the earth.”

        (end of scripture).

If the reward is given in a pre-trib rapture, why should we travel back from Heaven to Earth to get a second reward?

This does not make sense to me. But if we are there, among the two witnesses, an Intra-trib reward makes sense. The days of the Great Tribulation will be shorten, for the sake of the elect. If we are gone, why shorten these days?

      3. Sometimes the simplicity of the Scriptures is not chosen over the ‘chosen taught teachings of escapism’ of those who preach another message…sad to say many if not all of us at one time or another have ate at that table yet as we grew in Christ we found His Word is far richer in Truth and more comforting even in the fire for with Him we count it all joy ….We know the final full Wrath of God is not to be put upon those that are His, yet we also know by His Word that the Saints will endure far more than they are being told they will…it has truly broke my heart that so many have bought into the ‘message of some self-proclaim prophets’ this year is the ‘Me year’ all that was lost and hoped for will be returned and increased….before the Great Day of Revival…I have heard this harp being hawked for years in one form or fashion it’s a shame so many still line up for their large cup full…less and less of Jesus and more and more of ‘me’…it’s easy to see how much of the flesh is taken over by the decorations of the world..!!

      4. Hi Dave,

First the last trump is described in those two versus, so I think its clear.

I do have a question for Ivar and Dave.

What do you think versus 9-10 mean? What wrath do you think God is speaking of in 1 Thessalonians 1:9-10? Thanks for your help.

        1 Thessalonians 1:9-10

        The Thessalonians’ Faith and Example

2 We give thanks to God always for all of you, constantly[a] mentioning you in our prayers, 3 remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. 4 For we know, brothers[b] loved by God, that he has chosen you, 5 because our gospel came to you not only in word, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction. You know what kind of men we proved to be among you for your sake. 6 And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, for you received the word in much affliction, with the joy of the Holy Spirit, 7 so that you became an example to all the believers in Macedonia and in Achaia. 8 For not only has the word of the Lord sounded forth from you in Macedonia and Achaia, but your faith in God has gone forth everywhere, so that we need not say anything. 9 For they themselves report concerning us the kind of reception we had among you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, 10 and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.

  6. Hi Stephan,

The word keep, as used in the verse you quoted in Revelation, means to guard or protect from harm. The same way God kept Abraham, Daniel, Lot, Shadrach Meshech and Abednego, Noah etc. God didn’t take tham out of the world, He kept them from harm or judgment, like He will for us.

  7. Love this website but once again, I can’t agree with your position that the Bride of Christ will go through the Tribulation. What possible purpose would it serve? We, as believers, are not appointed to wrath.

    Revelation 3:10

    King James Version (KJV)

10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

    1. Dear Arthur Cormode

      You wrote:

      My reply:

We might disagree on this, but the Intra-trib view is confirmed on the Earth every day.

We are not destined for wrath, in an eternal perspective. God’s wrath is poured out on Earth every day. God permits disasters to take place on a large, apocalyptic scale. Christians are martyred in their hundreds every day, going home to Heaven.

If we do not see this world as evil, being and acting as aliens and strangers, we basically live in our flesh.

      1. Thanks for the reply Ivar,

The 70th week of Daniel is for Israel and not the Church. The purpose of the 70th week is essentially to put Israel’s back against the wall (like when they were at the Red Sea) and get them to call out to their Messiah for help. Once they cry, “Blessed is he, who comes in the name of the Lord.” then Jesus Christ/Yeshua will return. It is also for the judgement of the Nations. The Bride of Christ is not included as they have already been justified by the shed blood of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ/Yeshua. They will be judged at the Bema seat judgement for rewards only.
I must say that we likely agree on 99.99% of other things and I don’t see the timing of the Rapture as a “Salvation issue”. I do believe however that the Word of God is quite clear on presenting a pre-tribulational point of view.
However, if I am wrong, I will gladly go through the Tribulation and will gladly give up my life if necessary. You can also give me a big, “I told you so.” 🙂 However, if I am correct, I will not say a word to you as I’ll be too busy worshiping the Creator of the universe as you will be as well when we are raptured. 🙂
Anyway, Shalom and God bless and keep up the good work.

  8. Hi Gloria,

The verse in question Thess 1: 10 is here,

1Th 1:10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

As far as I know in the KJB and earlier ones it says “delivered”, as in past tense. When we are born again we are delivered. It’s a done deal.

Here is an example from The Wycliffe Bible otiginal edition: 1382

and for to abide his sone fro heuenes, whom he reisyde fro deede men,Jhesu, that delyuerede vs fro wraththe to comynge.

Here it is from the Matthews Bible 1549

and for to loke for hys sonne from heauen, whom he raised from death. I meane Iesus which deliuered vs frō wrath to come.

  9. Hello Ivar,

Thanks for joining in. The seventh angel sounding is also here,

Rev 10:7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

“…the mystery of God should be finished…”

  10. To the people worried about being around when God pours out His wrath.

When the children of Israel were in Egypt they weren’t touched by the plagues God sent on the land. Here is an example.

Exo 9:24 So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.
Exo 9:25 And the hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail smote every herb of the field, and brake every tree of the field.
Exo 9:26 Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, was there no hail.

    And another.

Exo 9:3 Behold, the hand of the LORD is upon thy cattle which is in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the oxen, and upon the sheep: there shall be a very grievous murrain.
Exo 9:4 And the LORD shall sever between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt: and there shall nothing die of all that is the children’s of Israel.
Exo 9:5 And the LORD appointed a set time, saying, To morrow the LORD shall do this thing in the land.
Exo 9:6 And the LORD did that thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt died: but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one.

I would say that as happenned to the children of Israel, so it would be with us. The Lord certainly knows how to separate the just from the unjust. They were in the midst of the land and remained untouched by the judgments on Egypt. That, I believe, would be the same for us. I also think that faith would grow by leaps and bounds.

      1. Are you saying God can’t, or wouldn’t , do the same now, or in the future, because you aren’t a Jew?

      2. the time of the Church from Pentecost to the Rapture is different – for Jews and Gentiles alike – from other periods before and after

  11. As far as what purpose does it serve for the Church to go through the tribulation period, here are some reasons.

Dan 11:35 And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.

Dan 12:10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

    Rev 3:14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
Rev 3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
Rev 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Rev 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
Rev 3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
Rev 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

    1. In re-reading them a few times, when reading the Daniel versus, that could mean that during the tribulation, some chose not to take the mark of the beast, and accept Jesus.

  12. Hello Ivar, Shalom to you also,

My thoughts are the same as yours.

It also looks like the two witnesses are killed by the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit between the sixth and seventh trumpets. If we meet the Lord and are changed at the seventh, or last trumpet sounding, like it says in 1Co 15:52, then we are in store for much more, and will witness much more, than some churches teach.

    1. Dear Arthur Cormode

      Shalom, and love in Jesus.

The pre-trib camp believe in three coming’s of Jesus. The first has taken place. The second is a secret take-away of the Church, and the third is the Messiah’s return to Jerusalem.

The Bible explains that there will only be two comings. He will appear a second time for those who are waiting for Him.

      Hebrews 9:28
so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

      (end of scripture).

To say that Israel is not the Church, is also a kind of replacement theology. The Church has replaced Israel, to be taken away in a rapture. To be saved from all the trouble. Israel and the children of the devil will be left behind.

If this was correct, there was no need to shorten the days of the Great Tribulation. The party in Heaven could just continue, and the Jews could be fried like during the Holocaust. No need for a quick return to Earth.

For what purposes should a rapture Church, return to Earth? Why end the fun for the “trouble free party”?

But if we are not taken away in a pre-trib rapture, there will be a need for the Messiah to intervene, to reappear for a second time, and save the Children of God. Who have not corrupted them selves, but rather faced beheading. Close to the time for the final judgment, and the separation of the sheep and the goats.

      Revelation 20:4
I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

      1. Thanks for the reply Ivar,

Don’t worry about the Jewish people. They will be well taken care of by the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He does not forget his promises and He certainly cannot lie.
It will certainly will be hell on earth during the Tribulation (and especially so during the Great Tribulation) as the Nations are judged and Israel is redeemed.

I heard some preterist arguing along the same lines as you by the name of Hank Hanegraaff. He says anyone who believes in the pre tribulational rapture is guilty of wishing that a Holocaust would happen to the Jewish people. (2/3rds getting wiped out.)
        This is patently absurd.

I don’t believe in the pre tribulational rapture of the Bride of Christ because some else told me to believe in it or it sounds cool. Neither am I an escapist or looking to abandon the nation of Israel. I believe in it because it is the only escatological viewpoint that makes sense and doesn’t violate scripture.

It’s not what I want, it’s what God wants:

“For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.” 2 Peter 1:21

I love Israel and I buy their products when I can as well as support ministries that help Israel/Jewish people. I also speak out against antisemitism as well as replacement theology. (One and the same really.)

Anyway, the church will return to earth because they are returning to earth with Jesus Christ/Yeshua as He sets up the Millennial Kingdom and they are in Marriage Supper of the Lamb. The Church will then reign with Christ for the 1000 years.

The post-Tribulational rapture flat out doesn’t make sense.

        Some examples:

Jesus will receive us to Himself, not us to receive Him (John 14:2-3).
Jesus said He would prepare a place for the Church in heaven, then He would come again to receive us to Himself. Why would Jesus prepare a place for us in heaven and then not take us there? At the rapture, He will come to receive us to Himself, “that where I am (heaven), there you may be also.” If the rapture occurred at the same time as the second coming, we would go up to the clouds and then immediately come back to earth. That would contradict John 14:2-3.

Both wicked and righteous both can’t be taken first.
First Thessalonians 4:13-17 says the righteous are taken and the wicked are left behind. Matthew 13:30, 49 says the wicked are taken first and righteous are left behind. This points to two separate events, the rapture and the second coming.

The separation of the sheep and goats (Matt. 25:31-46).
If the rapture occurred at the second coming, why would the sheep and the goats need to be separated immediately after the second coming? A rapture at the second coming would have already separated the sheep and the goats. With a Pre-Tribulation rapture, the people saved after the rapture will need to be separated after the second coming.

        Who will populate the Millennium?
If the rapture occurs at the second coming and the wicked are cast into hell at that time, who will be left to populate the millennium? Only people in their natural (non-resurrected) bodies will be able to have children (Matt. 22:30). With a Pre-Tribulation rapture, the people saved after the rapture who are alive at the second coming will populate the earth during the Millennium

        Shalom and God bless. 🙂

      1. Hello Dave,

Of course we can discuss this civilly and calmly. Perhaps my wording was too strong and for that I apologize.
Whatever the case, the only thing that the last trump and the 7th trumpet have in common is that they are trumpets. It’s an extremely tenuous connection at best.

Here are a few reasons why:

Post-tribers do try to link the ‘last trump’ of 1 Cor 15 with the 7th trumpet of Revelation as you mentioned but this is more to try prop up their beliefs concerning the timing of the rapture than anything. The fact is that Paul was writing to the Corinthians and he was talking to them about something that they were familiar with, not something that wasn’t even revealed yet! (1 Cor was written approx 55 AD and Revelation not until approx 96 AD so Paul wouldn’t have been making a reference to something they (and probably he) knew nothing about!)

So what was the reference to the ‘last trump’ about then? You will notice that in Corinthians, Paul has been showing the connection between New Testament truth and the Feasts of Israel. For example, in 1 Cor 5:6-8 he talks about the Feasts of Passover and Unleavened bread and shows how this is fulfilled in Jesus’ death. In chapter 15:20-24 he speaks about the Feast of First fruits and how this was fulfilled with Jesus’ resurrection. Now, in 1 Cor 15:51 he talks about the ‘last trump’ and connects that with the resurrection and rapture of the church. This is simply a fulfillment of another Jewish feast – the Feast of Trumpets.

Arnold Fruchtenbaum, a Jewish believer in Jesus writes in ‘The footsteps of the Messiah’.

‘It is evident from the fact that Paul used the definite article ‘the last trump’ that he expected the Corinthians to know what he was talking about. The only knowledge they would have of trumpets are those spoken of in the Old Testament, especially those of the Feast of Trumpets. The last trump refers to the Feast of Trumpets and the Jewish practice of blowing trumpets at this feast each year. During the ceremony there are a series of short trumpet sounds concluding with one long trumpet blast which is called the Tekiah Gedolah, the great trumpet blast. This is what Paul means by the last trump. As such, it says nothing concerning the timing of the rapture; only that the rapture, whenever it occurs, will fulfil the feast of trumpets.’

The Last Trump and The Trump of God, neither of which
can be the blowing of the seventh trumpet (the third woe) as given in Revelation 11:15 without doubt, carry the indelible signature of our Lord
Why is this? It is because this seventh angel blows his
trumpet of judgments on the earth along with the
announcement that the world has become the Kingdoms
of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ , over which
He shall reign forever and ever. Then the final judgments of this seven th judgment continues through chapter fifteen
. Tim LaHaye makes the following statement concerning the blowing of this trumpet:
“The blowing of the seventh trumpet (which is the third woe) does not initiate anything on the earth.
Instead, it is much like the breaking of the seventh seal of Revelation 8:1. It merely introduces the next
series of judgments, the seven bowls. Occurring exclusively in heaven, the scene introduces activities that
project a meaning to the earth to be disclosed in subsequent chapters.

…These events include the persecution of God’s children (chapter 12), the antichrist, or the “beast
coming out of the sea,” and the false prophet (chapter 13), a heavenly vision (chapter 14), and the
introduction to the last half of the Tribulation (
chapter 15). This is a heavenly setting announcing the great
events that will come on the earth. Awesome beyond description, it is called the “Great Tribulation”
because it reveals the most fantastic events the world has ever before known.”
The First Trumpet Judgment as well as the Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth (The First Woe), and The Sixth
(The Second Woe) are all terrible judgments poured out on all those who are dwellers of the earth.
The 7th Trumpet judgment is never called the last trump,
and is associated with the judgment of Earth,
not the Rapture of the Church. Nor is it ever called the
Trumpet Call of God as in 1 Thessalonians 4:16
