The blood of John Paul II has arrived in Colombia.“His blood is the symbol of life, says Father Slawomir Oder.
The relics that arrived in Bogota 20th of January consist of a small vile of the late pontiff’s blood which was extracted by medical officials before his death in April of 2005.
“His blood is the symbol of life, life given for God and for others and its presence reminds us of the Christian vocation to spend one’s life loving God and neighbor,” said Father Slawomir Oder, postulator of John Paul II’s cause for canonization and custodian of the relic.
On Jan. 21 the relic will be venerated during a Mass celebrated by Archbishop Ruben Salazar Gomez of Bogota at the parish of Mary Queen of Heaven. On Jan. 22 the relic will travel to the city of Cartago.

Oh Ivar, I am just so sick from looking at these photos. I have seen the skulls, the bones, the statues being kissed, the rusty chains from St. Peter hanging above an alter, but blood being kissed is just — just,I can’t even express the words to describe how horrible this is.
How could anybody continue wanting to be a part of a church that is doing these things? How could anyone close their eyes to this and think this is somehow alright in God’s eyes? How?
It is indeed blatant idolatry at its finest. And our God is not impressed. Perhaps the “god” of this world they worship IS, but by far NOT the Jesus as recorded in Scripture. I was also once a RC myself. Yet it was only by the grace of God that I too was led out. But I had a desire for the truth. I pray more RC’s have the same.

Let me tell you what a priest tells me after the sacrament of confession, when I privately announce my sins to the priest, the alter-Christus.
“In your hierarchy of values, is God in the first place? Do you put money, work, the cares of life above God? Do you worship other gods, do you worship the idols of money, good reputation?”
Then the priest gives me absolution of my sins, and tells me to read a chapter of the Bible or say a litany.

I love you enough to tell you the truth. Your comment has a logical shot circuit. Most of Protestants do not evangelize Roman Catholics, but accept the Pope as a Christian leader.
You are entitled to have your private opinions. And you are free to curse me. But please give me Bible verses that explains that I am wrong. I do not need any other blessings than those of Jesus the Messiah. I honor Him.

I love your reply to Tomasz. He’s not aware of the truth about Jesus Christ our Lord and it seems he does’t want to know. I pray that God will open his eye to the truth.
As for you, Ivar, keep doing the good work. Jesus has shed his blood for us and there is no scripture in the bible that says the blood of any other man (saints or no saints) will wash away sins or draw anybody to God.
Whoever worships the blood of a dead man is worshiping idols. Those behind it knows what that it is wrong, but majority of their congregation are ignorant of the spiritual implication. They will remain in bondage and die in their sins except they believe that Jesus is the only saint and mesiah that we need (John 8:24).

God wants his people to shine light on truth. Jesus is the TRUTH. It is Jesus who we ask you to follow, not religion. It is not because of hatred of Catholicism, it is out of love for the TRUTH that we point you to Jesus.
Religion teaches people to be silent, to just keep the peace, to be politically correct. Pilate knew Jesus was innocent but to keep the peace he handed him over. That is what religion does.
You spoke about putting God in first place, but I would ask you how you are honoring God and putting him FIRST if you disregard the very words of Jesus and permit yourself to be taught that it is okay to call a man, the Pope “Holy Father”? or teach you that the “Holy Father’s” blood is the symbol of life? It is Jesus alone who is LIFE. He is the very tree of LIFE that is mentioned in Genesis. He is not a symbol of life, he is LIFE. Religion robs us of the TRUTH and the TRUTH is Jesus.
