Osteen desire unity among Baptists and Catholics

Joel Osteen can not understand why “denominational names” shall separate Baptists and Catholics.

Joel Osteen wants all to unite around "god" regardless of doctrinal errors.
Joel Osteen wants all to unite around “god” regardless of doctrinal errors.

This is recorded in Christian Post:

When I grew up, at least in my household, there was the Baptists, the Methodists, Catholics and others. And we never crossed over. But this is a day where it seems like the denominational names mean less and less, and I mean that very respectfully, but they’re not separating us.

My church now is filled with people of every denomination. Victoria grew up in the Church of Christ, so I think in that sense it’s changed for the better – there’s not so many things separating us. Here at Marlins Park, I’m sure there will be every denomination. I had somebody at my church Sunday who came by afterwards to say, “that was a great sermon,” and coming from an Atheist that means a lot. Continue»

My comment:

I do not know why I keep taking this preacher seriously. Not being able to see why Baptists and Catholics are separated, Joel Osteen remains spiritually blindfolded.

It is a mystery how Osteen can have missed that there is a Baptism with full emersion in water, after people are confessing faith in Jesus. And there are Catholics who sprinkle water of infants, and declare them saved.

It is also a mystery that Osteen do not know that Roman Catholics believe in an infallible Pope, pray to saints and the “Queen of Heaven:”, and worship bones, skulls and corpses.  True Baptists do non of this. For obvious reasons.

 2 Corinthians 6:13-15

Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common?

Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?

What harmony is there between Christ and Belial.  Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?

Since these kind of issues does not matter for Joel Osteen, I guess no doctrinal differences will affect this man, as long as the cash comes in. Many moneymakers  proclaim that “God is good all the time”.

 1 Timothy 4:16

Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.

Please do not listen to this lawless man.

  1. Amen Ivar! You could not be more right. You are ALWAYS right on..and that is one of the many things I love so much about you, and your awesome posts! In Christ, you rock! LOL!! Love to you!

    1. Don’t idolize man – Lyn Lehahz. The honour belongs to our LORD. He has granted some gifts of grace to Ivar. And Ivar uses this gifts. Thanks to the LORD.

      1. Lis,

With all due respect, you mistook what Lyn is saying. From Lyn’s post, I do not get she’s idolizing Ivar. From her post, I get that she’s thanking her Brother in Christ for his blog, and for preaching the Word of Jesus.

      2. Lis,

Giving thanks to our Brothers and Christ, and loving them is not a dangerous thing.

That is how Jesus wants us to be with each other.

        God Bless,

        Gloria

      3. Lis and Lyn Leahz,

I’m glad that I’m not the only one bothered by Lyn’s “ALWAYS right on” comment. Lyn, your gravatar profile shows that you have actual conversations with God. Scripture teaches that, though God spoke in the past through the prophets, He now speaks to us through His Son whose words have been recorded for us in written form in His word. That God might be heard speaking audibly might happen, but not in a “conversation”. You’re on dangerous ground. You also have a comment stating that “what truly matters is that we love ourselves”. In Luke 10:27 we are told to “Love the Lord your God with all your strength and with all your mind, and love your neighbor as yourself.” It seems to imply that loving oneself is already a given and our main focus, or to use your words, “what truly matters” should be on loving God and others, not self.

        In Christ,

        Chris

      4. “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” 1 Pet 5:8.

      5. Dear Chris Henry

        Shalom.

I can not approve on your last comment.

Early this morning Lyn Leath was questioned because of the words she used to bless me. I guess we both can handle this. But: Next, she become the topic of a debate based on her gravtar.

On this site, the debate will be on the concerned articles and topics. Kindly accept this guideline.

      6. Dear Chris.

        Shalom.

I can sense there is a debate about the Holy Spirit down the pipeline. What the Holy Spirit can do, and what we feel he can not do.

Since God made a donkey speak in the past, I guess you can not stopp Him from doing so in the future. Florence Nightingale has testified that Jesus spoke to her on several occasions during the Crimian war. I have no objections to that, as long as what was said is inline with scripture.

The Bible is not the only authority in matters of faith. But it is surely the highest authority. God can not go against His own Word.

Jesus gives his instructions to the Church, both by the gifts of tongues, and by the gifts of interpretation. He do not only speak to the Church through the scriptures. He even communicate through prophets. Being lead by the Holy Spirit, is an important part of everyday life of a Bible-obeying Christians.

I have personally heard His audible voice, once. It was no conversation, but a simple and short message in the midst of extreme chaos and confusion: “Trust me”. I did, and everything worked out fine. All glory to Jesus the Messiah.

      7. Chris,

You said: Lyn, your gravatar profile shows that you have actual conversations with God. Scripture teaches that, though God spoke in the past through the prophets, He now speaks to us through His Son whose words have been recorded for us in written form in His word. That God might be heard speaking audibly might happen, but not in a “conversation”.

My comment: The Lord has spoken to me since I was 8 years old. The fact that I call Jesus, God, Dios, King does not bother him, because God has always answered me. So my point is you are assuming that Lyn means God and not Jesus. John 10:30 says: I and the father are One.

As for the conversation thing, and using that exact word? You do not know how Lyn meant it, yet you say she is on “dangerous” ground.

Also you make a comment about Lyn’s profile. Did you notice that she also has this on her profile: “My hope is to bring people to repentance through my writing, and to bring those who do not know Him as Lord of their lives to the cross of Jesus Christ. May all be blessed, because there isn’t much time left! Jesus Christ is coming soon!”

        God Bless,

        Gloria

      8. Dear Liz.

        Shalom.

        You asked:

What do you prefer: Distributing a translation of your posts or to be given thanks to?

        My reply:

Can I be permitted to be a little bit like Winnie-the-Pooh? being told to chose between milk and honey, he said, Yes, thank you. Both.

      9. Lis

        Shalom.

I am happy to have my articles translated into Danish. Thanks to you, and also to Jesus. You are doing a great job.

      10. Your thanks fell on a dry place. Most “Christians” in Norway and Denmark mock me for bringing this things about.”We just had such a cozy time. Why shall Lis Jensen always destroy it?”

Is it like that in this debat?

      11. Dear Lis.

        Shalom.

        You wrote:

        My reply:

I know that many Christians in Denmark and Norway do not like what you are writing. But when did you become concerned with what people think about you?

      12. Dear Ivar.

Sometimes I am concerned with what people think. I am not made by stones. But it was just a strike of self-pity. Excuse me.

“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.”

      13. Dear Lis-Peace to you in Christ. You are reading to much into a comment I made to a friend. Ivar is a friend of mine and a brother in Christ. I do not appreciate your judgment of me based on a kind comment. We are to exhort one another. May the love of Christ find you well.

      14. Amen! Time is very, very short. If people really understood this, they would stop focusing on nonsense and get serious. The same amount of time could’ve been spent blessing someone or leading someone to Christ Jesus. Every few minutes, a soul is lost forever to hell.

  2. Spot on Ivar. This ecumenical movement, orchestrated by the Roman Catholic Religion, is leading right into the One World Religion and it is extremely dangerous.

    1. Dear Arthur Cormode

      Shalom.

I am amazed that a magazine that call it self “Christian” do not expose this evil. Unfortunately both the two Christian dailies of Norway has been taken capture by the enemy. The road back to Rome is short, for all who accept lawlessness.

  3. Osteen is obviously wrong again. Anyone who loves the Word of God cannot ignore the rampant abuses of the Roman Church.

I personally am nondenominational, but I am absolutely opposed to ecumenicism because it is based on the assumption that doctrinal purity is not important.

  4. there is ‘no leading into it any more’….it’s already here!’…
anyone that says or even suggests or hints that a catholic can join with any other religion like these it’s the same as saying Jesus and Satan are brothers….and Mormons and Christians are brothers and sisters! .sheer crazy….

      1. Dear Lis

        Shalom.

So lets say in in plain words. Osteen is not a Christian. Like the Mormons and Jehovah Witnesses, he sometimes speak about “Jesus”. Even, some of his prayer’s end “in the name of ‘Jesus”.

      2. Dear Lis.

        Shalom.

It is not the majority opinion of people who define who is a Christian, and who is not. It is the Bible. Also Hindus take the name of Jesus, and have high regards for “him”.

  5. Osteen the Ignorant strikes again!

It is not denominational name that separates, it is faith in Christ alone for salvation, along with many other vital doctrinal truths that separate the Baptists from the Catholics. Also, how can there be unity between the Catholics and a group that was never part of the Catholic cult in the first place?

  6. Ivar, “It is a mystery how Osteen can have missed that there is Baptism with full immersion in water, etc., do not know that Roman Catholics believe in an infallible Pope, etc.”, that’s because like too many other christians he doesn’t seem interested in doing the necessary “research” about the Catholic Church, Pope, etc.

Something tells me (and I could be wrong) that he barely even reads the Bible, because lining up ‘Biblical doctrines’ to those listed by the Catholic and all other churches, would help folks to see where they stand when it comes to “YHWH-God’s/Yeshua’s-Jesus’ Truth” and Word in the long run. But, why do this when you can write books telling folks how they can live, “they’re best live now” (when Christ nor the Apostles said NO such thing), or make “every day a Friday” and other such “feel happy for the time being” books.

Why tell the Truth God’s way, when you can keep letting the blind fall into the ditch you’re digging for them? The ‘itching ears’ are working overtime but sadly too many just don’t seem to care. Lord have mercy on their souls, I pray not only for them to ‘wake up’ and seek the Lord’s Truth, but Joel and his ‘followers’ as well.

    1. Dear Bea K.

      Shalom.

I agree with you. I have ministered to some New Ager’s, who also take the name of Jesus. They claim the love Him. But they refuse to bow before the Messiah of the Bible. They do not even read the Bible.

I have heard Joel Osteen quoting some scriptures here and there, as a defense of his “feel good messages”. But never heard him take a stand against sin, and asked people to repent. Such a man is not a Christian.

  7. Joel Osteeen and many others like him, belong to the emergent church movement orchestrated by “Rome” and it’s “Antichrist” the Pope. It is to promote a ‘one world religion,’ just like the Bible prophesied would happen. They preach a ‘different gospel,’ and a different Jesus. All true believers will be able to discern their deception, but many will not as they follow blindly. Take care that you are not deceived. Search the Scripture daily. Only then will you be able to discern the truth. With love and God’s blessings.
13″ For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.” (2Corinthians 11:13-15)

    1. Dear Anon.

      Thanks for the information.
I did not know, that Joel Osteen belongs to the emerging church movement, and that this movement is orchestrated by “Rome.”

      1. You’re welcome Lis. Anyone who preaches a Gospel contrary to the Divinely Inspired Word of God that is in the Bible, belongs to this movement, and like the Scripture says their “end will be according to their works.” Like the Apostle Paul said:
8″But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.” (Galatians 1:8-9)

  8. @Ivar Re:gifts of the Spirit and the Holy Sp speaking to us: AMEN! And I will continue to exhort you as your sister in Christ that I am..it is my obligation if I call myself a follower of Jesus to exhort my dear brothers and sisters in Christ. We are one body beneath the anointing of the Holy Spirit. How sad that anyone who call themselves a follower of Yeshua would attack a family member in Christ so brutally. This is very sad. God bless you Ivar! I hope u are having a beautiful day today as you witness to many!

  9. What’s all that dispute about God speaking to people? Of course he does. He is English, with a slight northern accent 🙂

      1. You’ve got to be kidding me???? (wink) Of course, Anon. God invented language. We are just blessed the He allowed us to learn. 😉

      2. I did wink as I wrote that. And we are blessed that He saved us out of this World. Amen to that.

  10. Osteen is a wolf, a false teacher, an agent of satan. His wife was raised in the “Church of Christ”, which teaches that you must be water baptized to be saved, which is a false gospel that lead to hell, just like the false gospel in catholicism that leads to hell. So if she never repented of the false gospel, then his own wife is not born again.

He is a wolf to the extreme, and he says that he gets applause for his “sermons” from atheists even? So that means there is ZERO conviction power in his messages. They aren’t convicting at all, because an atheist can walk away feeling good about themselves and yet remain believing that there is no God at all.

    1. Dear Andy

      Shalom.

Do you have a link to this statement of Joel Osteen? That even atheists give him applause.

      1. It was from the article that you posted:

“I had somebody at my church Sunday who came by afterwards to say, “that was a great sermon,” and coming from an Atheist that means a lot.”

      2. Dear Andy.

        Shalom.

Ooh…I better read the full articles i quote from and link up….Thanks.

That Osteen is happy being hailed by Atheists, and that this means a lot to him, exposes him as a religious man of fraud.

  11. dear all Christians, truly love God..please let us walk in LOVE, it is the most important Christian virtue, to be in humility, let God be the judge, we don’t have to always think we are right,,,,,be humble
God bless all…..its better to love than to make our points without asking God…

    1. Speaking truth is love, Albert. The Bible tells us that truth is what sets people free. Unfortunately in this wicked day, the watered down ear tickling truth is being preached. Truth brings guilt. Guilt brings confession and apology to God, and confession and apology to God brings a halt to the sinning…which is true repentance. How will people turn away from sin if they do not know what they are doing is killing their soul? They won’t. And that is exactly what Satan wants. Satan wants people to be deceived into hell. He wants people to stop telling the truth.

It is the fault of people who preach that truth telling is hatred and judgmental that people are not coming to repentance because they have no guilt for their sin anymore. Instead, they want to delight themselves in a message that only makes them feel good and safe. Woe unto such people for believing such a lie! Praise God for those of us who are not afraid to tell the truth and who see truth as a divine, gracious act of love.

If you see someone about to ingest poison, you cry out to them and try to stop them from killing themselves. If you did not, you would be a very shameful person. So it is the same with spiritual, soul killing poison. We who love those ingesting it do not want to see them spend eternity in hell. We cry out in warning to them, and we try to stop them.

      1. Thanks for your reply Lyn. I agree to speak truth but it must be mobilized by love. Based on love, and love is the most powerful spiritual warfare. I’m sure God can chastise whom He loves. If Joel is wrong soon or later He will go to discipline school by God, no body wants to be corrected by humiliation. god bless you.. 😉

      2. There is such a thing as righteous anger..and Jesus was God in the flesh…God became angry on many occasions, and Jesus became angry and actually whipped people… I don’t believe we are supposed to whip people, however. What I’m saying is that love comes in many forms. For me, there is enough sugar coated candy Christians to go around ten fold. But, there are not enough of us who are speaking truth. Speaking truth is a form of love.

For example. When my children are dong something that will harm them, I quickly and firmly warn them to stop doing this thing. My tone of voice is that of warning and firmness… warning and firmness is a form of love…a very powerful one at that. Because you see, when we warn and we are firm (and I mean in a kind way..I do not promote cursing or hatred as we do so), we will be persecuted, put down, and mocked. But if I just smile and act kindly, or make my words politically correct so as not to offend, I might as well have done nothing at all. It is more of an honor to speak truth..the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, boldly, and be shamed for it than it is to add ear tickling spice.

Jesus mentioned the seasoning of salt, and to be the salt of the earth. Let’s look at that in a slightly different light. What happens when you rub salt on a wound? Working in the medical industry, I can tell you, (and most people know this already) that salt actually heals wounds..however, it burns like fire! Let us ponder this.

Our truthful words will sting and hurt, but they will heal the wounds of people. And we might be rejected right at the moment. However, we have planted a seed. Maybe a year later that person who rejected us will suffer a loss…and out of nowhere, those words we spoke will spring forth and begin to take root.

        God bless you.

  12. it’s best to pray and to think carefully before we say anything about the anointed one. Even if they wrong…. we also do wrong..
give Joel Osteen a break, pray for Him ….leave it all to God…
Love is the greatest-God is Love, and love does not critizise…

    1. Osteen doesn’t get a break. He is a false teacher, a wolf. The Bible says to expose false teachers. Osteen is leading people to hell. That is not love on his part. He needs to be spoken against. He is full of hate, since true love contains truth (1 Corinthians 13:6).

Since Osteen doesn’t teach truth, then he is the one that is full of hate, and we expose him on it.

      1. Wow…I did not REALISE so many against Joel Osteen, what about the Grace preacher Joseph Prince?

      2. Dear Alert.

        Shalom.

        Grace preacher Joseph Prince?

I hope he preach the gospel about Jesus being the only way to heaven? That God’s problem with man is sin, and that those who do not repent, but take pleasure in their life in the flesh, will be judged and face eternity in Hell?

      3. I don’t hate Joel. I love him in Christ, and I feel terrible for him that he has been led astray. It is sad. When I was a teenager with severe anorexia – bulimia… near death, as I am 5’7″ and got down to 64 pounds at the time… he prayed a prayer that moved me. I will never forget that. We need to pray for him. But at the same time, as followers of Yeshua…TRUE followers, we are obligated to defend God’s Truths and the gospel of Jesus Christ, and we are obligated to expose evil, while at the same time loving our enemies and praying for them. I pray that Joel can get on the right path again..I really do..because time is of the essence. He will be judged by God as a shepherd leading the sheep away from the truth..and that is some serious stuff. God bless you, Albert.

      4. @albert: We worship YHVH. It sounds as if you worship Joel Osteen. You will be judged for not defending the Word of God an and not protecting the sheep who are being led astray by the wolves. I will pray for you. Although you won’t want it..us followers of Yeshua are supposed to pray for our enemies. Good day and God bless you.

      5. Dear Andy, it sounds like you are really upset about Joel Osteen, I watched the interview with Larry King, and I thought to my self why didn’t Joel just be so clear and direct that Jesus is the only way to heaven”? But to me I decided not to judge him, because if we do we will carry this hatred, I wouldn’t be commenting about false teachers, I believe in being respectable too,not just beating people with whatever you or we think, where is the compassion, I believe true Christian we don’t just write words that are accusing, judging, negatives, and saying people are misled or deceived, we don’t know everything like God. It’s best we don’t be quick to judge, if Jesus is really our king, prince of peace, then where is the peace”? It has to be balanced, no one is right, only one Jesus is right! God bless you all’..

      6. The Bible tells us that we CAN judge by the fruit produced. God is the final judge…but…do keep in mind…speaking the truth and knowing what is right and what is wrong according to God’s Word is not judging. That is truth telling. If I see a woman scantily clad receiving money from someone on the street…and I say, “She is definitely a hooker!” Then I am judging her. Maybe it is her brother giving her money for dinner..who knows. However, if I see a woman receiving money from a stranger and from her mouth she states she is prostitute..then I am not judging. I am speaking a fact, for the woman herself has admitted what she is. Joel Osteen has spoken it from his mouth..false doctrine and apostasy. Anyone who knows the Word of God knows what he has done…

Luke 6:44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.

Matthew 7:16, You shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

Moreover, we can not gather true and anointed doctrine from one who perverts the Word of God.

      7. Dear Albert.

        Shalom.

        You wrote:

I believe true Christian we don’t just write words that are accusing, judging, negatives, and saying people are misled or deceived, we don’t know everything like God.

        My reply:

So you don’t mind letting the wolfs taking care of the sheep’s?

  13. I like what you wrote, yeah we need to preach the truth, with power otherwise people won’t repent…
I believe goodness of God will lead to repentance,..but some people still don’t want to repent even after so many goodness and patience from God?

    1. Nope. Sinfulness and corruption has spread like wildfire. Just as Jesus said, “As it was in the days of Noah…” it is now. Many will hear the truth, be given chance after chance, and still will not repent. They will wait until it is too late, and there will be no more chances. (sigh) I wish people could realize that they are playing in the devil’s playground, and they need to get off of it immediately. Time is short. The children of YHVH must be separate from the world, and they must be ready. Jesus is crying out, “Ready or not! Here I come!” But will they be ready???

  14. I don’t know who you’re referring to as the anointed one, but if it’s Joel Osteen you are being misled/ misguided. There are serious consequences for those who teach and preach a ‘different gospel,’ that leads others to destruction.
The Apostle Paul said: “But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.” (Galatians 1:8-9).
God will be the Judge of us all. In the mean time if given the opportunity, we should always speak the truth, always in love, to those going down the road not leading to eternal life. That’s not criticism, that’s love. God bless you.

  15. Many times he talked like this. Why not his church send him to a bible college to get some degree on Christian theology. We should know that empty vessels sound much. He even does not know John 14:6, and the meaning of being born again, John 3:3-5.

  16. The Bible says to judge doctrine. Judging doctrine is not “hating”. Judging doctrine is loving. Since God’s love must include truth (1 Corinthians 13:6).

If a person doesn’t teach God’s truth, then they don’t have God’s love. That is why Osteen is a hater of mankind, since he teaches lies, then that proves that Osteen is the hater.

    1. I disagree with your on going harsh comment Andy about Joel osteen-you don’t sound like a Christian at all,and if you are your comments will be much more Christ like..and I think you are full of hate towards another human being, you are full of judgement and very critical, you should repent! you are too religious , fanactics
Read the bible…be full of God’s compassion and love, I bet you Joel is doing much more in helping people more than you have done, that’s why He is well known.
You think Joel does not have God’s love, but Joel never commented evil about you at all , but yet you have been commenting all this hars words. The true Christian is not attacking!

      1. Albert,

I agree with Andy and Ivar. We must correct the wolves in sheeps clothing, in hopes they will repent. Let us not stand by and do nothing.

2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

      2. That’s up to you, true Christian will select their words!
no difference to worldly people.I call it hippo!

      3. Albert,

You can call it whatever you want. But I choose to use the Word of God to first let people know how Jesus saves, and among other things, to correct those who as Ivar described perfectly, wolves in sheep clothing.

      4. Jesus called people wolves (Matthew 7:15), whitewashed tombs (Matthew 23:29), fathered by the devil (John 8:44), and many other things. Peter called people brute beasts (2 Peter 2:12), and dogs and pigs (2 Peter 2:22). John called people antichrists (1 John 4:2).

So apparently you have never read the Bible. The “jesus” that you worship, is not the Jesus of the Bible, who was very rough against false teachers, who called them devils and wolves and told people to expose them and avoid them. The true Jesus, the Jesus of the Bible, would have been called “unchristlike” by you.

Osteen is a wolf, a false teacher, a son of satan, who leads people to hell.

      5. Andy,
I couldn’t have said it better myself. When it comes to Biblical Truth, there is no mincing words, we have to tell it like it is. I think Albert is under ‘strong delusion’ and following the ‘doctrine of demons.’ Anyone who cannot discern truth from deception is in peril of believing anything. Many are being deceived by the likes of Joel Osteen and others who are promoting a ‘different gospel.’
God bless you for speaking the Truth.

      6. try not to focus on others, how about check your own walk with God.
i’m so surprised there are so many judgemental and negative religious people out there, lack of humility and love……….repent!

      7. Wait a minute. Re read what you are saying about us… and you are saying we are judgmental? You need to repent for perverting the Word of God. God would prefer us cold or hot over lukewarm. You are what I call a Woodstock Hippie Jesus Christian…the ones who preach MAKE LOVE NOT WAR. You are of a perverted type of Christian. If you are that offended, why don’t you go elsewhere? Why do you continue commenting? Why would you want your name and icon on a blog full of truth tellers? Why don’t you go somewhere where there are a bunch of ear ticklers to tickle your fancy?

      8. Anon, God bless you. We are beginning the days, apparently, when people don’t want to hear sound doctrine. They want to hear fluffy lies. And every liar is a hater by default.

Keep preaching the truth! There aren’t many doing that.

  17. I so many Nasty Christians labels, labels only. Using scriptures to suit their own desires to condemns and to attack others and to take justice in their own words…they are vipers them self, like a white cemetery. At Least Joel does not condemns others, maybe jealousy is the issue and pride? …If you guys are truly Christians prove your fruit of the spirit otherwise you are no different to scribes. This is why the world hate Christianity and church because of your attitudes towards other Christians, no forgiveness, no kindness, very sad! Mahatma Gandhi said”” I like you Jesus but I don’t like your followers(judgemental, prideful)

    1. There is therefore now no condemnation for those of us who are IN Christ Jesus. — Maybe Joel Is not IN Christ Jesus..because according to this verse…there is no condemnation if we are IN Christ Jesus. But if we are outside of Him..then that’s a different story apparently. I agree with what someone else said here earlier..you read a different Bible. You seem more hostile and angry than any of us.

    2. Dear Albert Modoch

      Shalom.

      You wrote:

This is why the world hate Christianity and church because of your attitudes towards other Christians, no forgiveness, no kindness, very sad!

      My comment:

It is nice that many people have a lot of opinions, but you need to read more in your Bible.

      Mark 13:13
Everyone will hate you because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.

      1. Dear Lyn

Shalom, and thanks for blessing me. Such comments will secure a continuation of this blog. May Jesus the Messiah bless you too.

    3. Albert, Joel Osteen is the one that hates everybody, because he refuses to tell them the truth, and instead, insists on lying to people. Therefore Osteen is the hater, he hates everybody that hears him. For, if he loved his hearers, he would tell them the truth.

Since you reject the Bible and insist on the lies of Osteen, you will have nothing but unbelievers like Gandhi to quote. Gandhi hated the truth too, so like Osteen, he led people to hell.

That’s not love. That’s hate. Osteen and Gandhi, the haters of mankind.

      1. Dear Andy.

        Shalom.

In principle I agree with you. But not everything is black or white. Very few persons “only good” or “only evil”. There are colors, and shades of gray.

Some teachers are confused. One of them is Joel Osteen. Very often we hear him answer critical questions with. “Oh, I’m not sure, I feel, but”, etc. We hardly hear him using the scriptures to defend his faith (or whatever we shall call his messages).

As you have said: Do this man read the Bible?

We need to pray for Him, and the 50.000 people who sit and listen to this confused man every Sunday. And the millions of people who have read his books, and found nothing fishy and false. Not to forget all who hail him, watching his programs on God-Tv.

The challenge with people who have been deceived, is that if they knew about the deception, they would leave the deception. No deceived soul desire to live i deception. Not even Joel Osteen.

      2. Ivar,
While I do understand what you’re trying to say to Andy I have this to say. If you are a teacher and you are ‘confused’ by what the Word of God says, then maybe God does not want you to teach. Not everyone is called to ‘teach,’ most these days are in it for money. Blinded by ‘mammon.’ That is why we have all of the Wolves in Sheep’s clothing. I just want to say that when it comes to the word of God, there is no compromise. It is black or white. For me, there is no gray. God bless you.

“And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.” 2 Peter 1:19-21.

      3. Dear Anon

        Shalom.

Not everyone is a teacher, but all of us should be able to teach. At least the ABC about salvation. If not, we are not Christians.

      4. Shalom to you Ivar. You are absolutely correct. We are all called
to study God’s word so we may not be deceived by false doctrine. Also to be able to give to anyone that asks, reason for the ‘hope’ that we have in Christ. The good news of the ‘Gospel’ of salvation and eternal life. thanks for answering.

      5. Christians and preachers that attack or criticize another preachers and christans they have forgotten what they are forgiven of,..
You all talk about truth but your words coming out like GRAVE….
Speak truth in LOVE- find out about LOVE…
JOEL,OSTEEN IS GOD’s anointed still, if you are perfect or never did wrong in your life, be the first to throw the first Rock!

      6. No one is forgiven until they repent. Your form of repentance would be me sitting here with a cigarette in my hand, and after each puff saying I’m sorry as I take another big puff off of it.

True repentance is this: Guilt/shame+Admittance of fault+Apology to God and/or those offended+CEASE THE BEHAVIOR

Then God forgives. Repentance is necessary to salvation.

There is a verse that people like yourself often use, but you forget one important word in it. Here it is:

Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are IN Christ Jesus, who DO NOT WALK ACCORDING TO THE FLESH, but according to the Spirit.

There is no condemnation if you are IN CHRIST JESUS. If you are outside of His well, well then, I”m afraid there is condemnation for you. And, for those who DO NOT walk according to the flesh.

You are on dangerous ground, Albert. You need to study your Bible and make sure of what you preach. Because I tell you this..you are among the lukewarm who God is going to VOMIT out of His mouth! And that is a dangerous place to be! You need to get on your hands and your knees asap and tell God you are sorry and change your ways before you lead anyone else astray with this deception.

        Revelation 3:15-16

        New King James Version (NKJV)

15 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot,[a] I will vomit you out of My mouth.

If you are right, Albert..the Bible is a lie. If you are wrong, the Bible is true. You can’t have your cake and eat it too. Either you admit you are wrong, or you call God’s Word a lie. Your theory goes against God’s Word. Do you put yourself above God?

I hate to burst your bubble..but Jesus DID NOT die to make it okay for you, or anyone to sin. And I will defend God’s Word to the grave! And those who do not defend God’s Word..like you..are shameful to the Body of Christ!

      7. Lyne,

If we are saved only while we are living in a constant state of repentance as you seem to describe, then we have no hope, because nobody is at any time without sin. The blood of Christ atones for the sin of those who receive him.

Paul describes the consequences of a Christian walking after the flesh:

[1 Corinthians 3] “If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, 13their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. 14If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. 15If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet WILL BE SAVED—even though only as one escaping through the flames.”

The scripture you quote has to be considered in context of Paul lamenting his own failure to live a sinless life. It is therefore obvious that Paul wasn’t saying that his failure meant he was going to be sent to Hell.

Jesus says he loses none of those God gave him.

      8. Let’s look at the Bible as a whole…from beginning to end..and let’s discuss how God feels about sin and our salvation.

Let me also leave you with this verse:

        Matthew 7:21-23

        New King James Version (NKJV)
        I Never Knew You

21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

      9. Lyn,

Old testament: “Abraham believed God, and God counted that belief as righteousness”

New testament: “By grace are we saved through faith. And that faith is not our own, it’s a gift from God”

We are saved by faith in Jesus Christ’s atoning blood ALONE. He who does the will of Jesus’ father is the one who believes in him.

Obedience should be the result of our gratitude for the free gift of salvation, not an attempt to buy what is already freely given. The treasure we are encouraged to lay up in heaven does not include salvation.

When Christ died to pay the price of our sin, it was for all our sin – past, present and future. Otherwise we are in a hopeless situation because we are constantly sinning. Sin means to miss the mark. Not just being a druggie, or an adulterer. Lacking faith in our walk with Christ is sin too!

“All have sinned and fell short of the glory of God”. “If a man says he is without sin he is a liar”. If you think the guy in the video has got it right, tell me at what point the balance of sin over righteousness tips a person who has accepted Christ into Hell. And tell me how Jesus can lose anyone God has given him when he says he won’t.

If Paul tells us there are some who will get into heaven with nothing more than the robe of righteousness, who are we to say it should be stripped from their backs?

      10. Hey Philmayo. God bless you and enjoy the debate. I’ve debated on this subject long enough. And quite honestly, I don’t think Jesus wants His children wasting their time on people whose hearts are hardened and have been led astray with no convictions… it is foolishness! I think He wants us ministering to those who are hungry. You and some others here are full…full of deception and yourselves. I have other things I need to do… I have people who are open to hear the truth to minister to. The Bible says DO NOT CAST YOUR PEARLS BEFORE THE SWINE. And so I relent. God bless you. I will not waste my time replying to you or any of the other deceived ones who are filled with spirits of deception. I have books to edit, people to witness to, and three blogs to run. Take care.

      11. Dear philmayo7909 and Lyn.

        Shalom, and love in Jesus.

I do not think Paul planned to sin. Neither do I. But the flesh is surely weak…Like: If Paul was attracted to women, He must surely have had many temptations coming his way.

Paul has not explained what he did, that he should not have been doing. But he display his weaknesses.

        Romans 7:18-20

For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature.[a] For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it

James 5: 14-16 in not for non-believers, but for us who are saved, but still do foolish things, like sinning.

Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

      12. Lyn,Philmayo
Have been reading your post’s and agree with both of you.
        While each has a particular bent in regards to salvation. ie;
Repentance required and grace through faith.
I have been meditating the last couple of weeks about the phrase “in Christ”. This is one of the questions that comes out of the New Testament or New Covenant. Are you in Christ. What does that mean? It is a question that has to do with belonging.
To be in something one has to get into it. Many people get in something. An organization, an event. To get in you must decide first that you want to get in. To get or be “in Christ” first starts with faith. Believing him, understanding what he has done for you and trusting in him alone. If that belief is genuine and God knows if it is, something instantly and spiritually happens. A baptism by God takes place. Your nature is put to death. And a new nature is given to you which is resurrected. II Cor 5:17 if any man is in Christ he is a new creation. Old things are passed away(put to death) and everything becomes new. Knowing that you have been resurrected with a new nature you are ,now free to walk in newness of life. By your first birth you are in Adam which is part of the old creation which was foiled and cursed. By your second birth you are “in Christ which is part of the new creation. In Christ
you have been born again. To sin is not what you do, nor is it what you want to do. You are not a sinner anymore. That is not to say that you don’t sin, but its not what you want to do. Your desire “in Christ” is to be holy. You are righteous and that is how God looks at you and see’s you through his son. So many say
“We are sinners” but in Christ you are not a sinner anymore, because that sinful person was put to death. And was raised
As a new person part of a new creation. The trouble with so many is that they don’t know who they are “in Christ”. They still think that the old person still exists. If the old person still exists
Then it’s very possible that the baptism of God did not occur because that persons belief was not real. And God knows if it is
Or not. We must always be examining ourselves to see if we are of the faith as Peter writes. Are you the same now as you were
Before you believed. Do you love Jesus, does it bother you when you sin. Do you deliberately try not to sin or do you deliberately try to sin. Are you sinning less now than you used too? When you rise in the morning do you look at the day ahead and ask God to make it be a day to honor and please him or is it contrary to that. This is how we examine ourself. Remember who you are in Christ. Everything that is yours in Christ is opposite outside of him. The New Testament or New Covenant question is ” Are you in Christ

      13. Dear Lyn.

        Shalom, and love in Jesus.

Paul Washer has a lot of interesting stuff to share. But I do not agree with all he says. Like, his extreme views on persecution., and telling gatherings of people that most of them will not make it to the Kingdom of Heaven.

If someone in my colony do not throw stones after me today, do not imply that I am not a true follower of Jesus. Washer is radical, but some of his stuff is counter productive, and pushes people away from the truth.

      14. I agree, Ivar. I think he is a bit too harsh on some points..but there were a few things he said that applied to the discussion. My favorite is J.D. Farag, Perry Stone, and Walid Shoebat. But I will be sure and not post anymore of his videos here. This is your blog. Sorry.

      15. Hey Todd. God bless you. I left a video for you, but as I just said to someone else here, and I haven’t read your comment because I do not really have time for it. But I’m not commenting anymore on this particular post. People who want to hear the truth will hear it. People who want to pervert God’s Word are more lost than those who don’t know Jesus at all, and in a more dangerous place. I will pray for you.

      16. Dear Lyn.

        Shalom, and love in Jesus.

If you do not have time to read Todd’s comment, why do you expect him to find time to read your video-link?

As a follower of Jesus the Messiah, this was not an appropriate reply. There seems to be a need for an apology.

      17. Ivar…I apologize if it came across that way. I was actually just trying to be honest to let him know that I had not read it word for word..but instead skimmed it…as I had many things going on at once (a problem with my children, my phone ringing, and a problem with my checking account…) and was also getting frustrated with everyone wanting to argue instead of realizing that the Word of God is true. So my stating this fact to him was not attempting to be rude to him in the way you might have taken it…rather, just being honest that I did not get to read his entire comment. It is easy online when typing words to get misunderstood..or to misunderstand..so I should have been more clear. Sorry, Ivar, that you are upset with me. God bless you.

      18. Dear Lyn.

        Shalom.

Apology accepted. Do not stress. Remember your are saved by faith, alone. Not by works that can not save. Please relax, and experience that you are saved. Enjoy just being.

      19. Thank you Ivar. But I am very passionate about the truth being preached..and because of that passion, I become zealous to protect the Word of God. The false teachers of this day make me very, very angry. God has called me to tell people time is short and to repent… and so this is why I have this passion inside of me. Please remember, Ivar..if I were speaking these things I come across much differently..as do most of us, I am sure. I think many of misunderstandings online is that we all tend to read a negative tone in people’s words that is not there. For example, I am a compassionate, forgiving, loving person..and that is the way I speak. Yet, online, my words probably come across harsh and angry. This is the case when we have no real facial expression, tone of voice, or body language to go along with black and white words.

      20. Washer’s video doesn’t contradict anything I have said about the motivation to follow Jesus must be gratitude and love rather than an attempt to buy salvation with good works.

You see, this is the problem with the “doctrine of works lie”. It is so subtle. And those who use it to accuse others forget the fact that they too will only get into heaven because of the blood of Christ.

For some people, the thief on the cross next door would have been told ‘NO WAY’.

      21. I do not believe in doctrines of works. Many of you misunderstand me. God bless. I believe when we are truly saved, we will make mistakes and we will sin. However, we can’t live IN sin and we need to repent (do away with it) if we are. Slipping up from time to time is different from living in a state of sin. For example, living with someone outside of wedlock and having sex with them regularly.

Anyone living in outright blatant disobedience and sin against God’s will must repent. I don’t know how else to say it. Apparently, you are not understanding me because if we are all in agreement that Joel Osteen is wrong in what he is preaching..and I am saying no different.

Forgive me, please.. I do not mean any rudeness whatsoever… but I am growing frustrated trying to explain myself and nobody understands what I am saying. However, since i can’t seem to come across correctly, just know that I do not believe in doctrines of works..however, there must be a significant change in our heart when we marry ourselves to Christ by accepting salvation. Salvation cost Jesus His blood..and it is free for us to take. But we must be in Christ. We can’t live like we used to live before we were saved.

That’s all I’m saying. Gotta run. God bless.

      22. Lyn,

I haven’t in any way defended Joel Osteen. Anyone who teaches a way to salvation other than by faith in Christ is an Antichrist.

But anyone who teaches that unrepented sin in a Christian’s life means they have lost the salvation they received as a free gift, is in fact saying they were saved by their own righteousness. After all it is a lack of personal righteousness (sinful life-style) that you seem to be saying is the cause of that loss of salvation.

And if that was true you should be able to tell me at what point in the life of a new born Christian do they accumulate enough righteousness to become saved in the first place. Because I have yet to meet one who is instantly transformed through the renewing of their mind. Or is imediately bearing fruit of the Spirit.

The only righteousness that is acceptable to God is that of Christ. Our own is as filthy rags. The law is one. Break the least commandment, and you are guilty of breaking it all.

There is a price to pay for sin. Ultimately that price is Hell. But for Christians that price was paid, and they are redeemed. That doesn’t mean they won’t suffer the consequences of sin in their lives. We are servants to the one we yield to, and Satan is a hard master. Give him a handle on your life, and he will destroy it.

As I already said: the lie of salvation by works is subtle. It has infiltrated the Church through the slight misinterpretation of numerous passages of scripture, to the extent that many don’t even realise they are preaching it. Most would point at Adventists as an example of living under law rather than grace, without realising they have a fair size dose of the same disease.

I respectfully suggest you take a look on Andrew Wommack’s website. This is a man who preaches the same gospel that Paul preached. It’s a gospel that releases people to serve God, rather than weighing them down with the never-ending guilt and fear of missing the mark.

      23. So do you believe a person who practices homosexuality, takes drugs, and prostitutes themselves can get saved and continue living this way and still go to heaven. Is that correct? Because I disagree. I would say the person was never truly saved.

As long as we live in a body of flesh, we will make mistakes and sin. However, a person who is truly saved can’t live as the unsaved or they are not truly saved.

Although we do definitely disagree on some issues here, you are misunderstanding me to a point.

If what you are saying is correct, then where do you disagree with Osteen? He says gays can go to heaven. Where do you feel Joel is wrong because it sounds to me like you agree with him.

Jesus did NOT die to make it okay for us to sin. Yes, we are saved by works..and not of ourselves..it is a gift of God. We did nothing to deserve the gift of salvation. However, though we sin and make mistakes, we don’t live in it.

Like I said, it sounds to me like you are saying you can take Jesus into your heart, and if you continue in sin, you will suffer here on earth, but still make it to heaven.

Realizing that there is a huge difference between messing up and sinning and living in it… I totally disagree with that.

If I have taken Jesus into my heart, yet I’m married and having an affair with my boss….and I’m an alcoholic and a prostitute, and I do not repent for this (repent, meaning, guilt+confession of sin to God+CEASE the behavior(s)), I do not believe for the life of me that I will go to heaven if I die. This makes a mockery out of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ altogether. Like I said, Jesus did not die to make it okay for me to sin.

In my opinion, your way is the easy way out. It makes my sin okay. In your way of thinking, I should repent because it’s wrong to sin, however, I really don’t need to repent..and so there will never be a reason to truly be convicted for my sin to where I need to change my life of sin. What is the point of getting saved, then?

Your way would would be like a man who robs banks and stores on a regular basis who buys a better gun to defend himself should the police come to arrest him. In other words, salvation is a security in case you die..an insurance policy.

I have ready and studied the entire Bible… and I’ve listened to sound doctrine… I don’t believe we lose our salvation because we make mistakes and sin from time to time. You’ve got me wrong there. I don’t believe we earn our salvation. You’ve got me wrong there too. But I don’t believe that if we ask Jesus into our hearts we can go on LIVING IN a state of sin and unrepentance and truly call ourselves born again. Born again means starting over…beginning our NEW life IN Christ. You can’t live IN sin and be IN Christ.

I would much rather live my life in Christ to the fullest than to be wrong and find out when it’s too late. If you’re truly in love with someone, you want to please them and you want to spend all your time with them, and be loyal to them. Until I truly fell in love with the Lord, I couldn’t please Him. I loved what I knew about Him, but wasn’t actually in love with Him. This was my problem. So I strive to live in Christ because I am truly, madly and deeply in love with Him. And when you are, it makes things so much easier.

No offense to you, and with all due respect, but I have shared now exactly how I feel and what I believe. I would really appreciate it if we could stop arguing the matter and if we could move on. You are not going to change my belief, and i”m not going to change yours. To argue the matter further seems senseless, pointless, and unbeneficial to the glory of God. Again, not trying to be rude..just telling you in advance so you do not think me rude..but this will be my last reply on this matter to you, or anyone else. Enough said. God bless you.

      24. Lyn, you said:

“So do you believe a person who practices homosexuality, takes drugs, and prostitutes themselves can get saved and continue living this way and still go to heaven. Is that correct? Because I disagree. I would say the person was never truly saved.”

I assume you forgot that you asked me the above question by the time you got to your last sentence, because you finished by telling me not to reply. But I will reply, if only so others will learn of the grace of God…

I do know a man who did all that. And a lot more besides. I helped him when he was out of his head on glue. I counselled him when he was suicidal, and I visited him in hospital more than once after he had slashed his wrists. I gave him work on several occasions, and he always stole from me, or cheated me in other ways. I haven’t seen him for a long time, but the last time I spoke to him, he seemed to have grown in the Lord. And I praise God for his mercy and patience with that man whom it took him years to release from the sin that bound him.

        You said:
“If you’re truly in love with someone, you want to please them and you want to spend all your time with them, and be loyal to them. Until I truly fell in love with the Lord, I couldn’t please Him. I loved what I knew about Him, but wasn’t actually in love with Him. This was my problem. So I strive to live in Christ because I am truly, madly and deeply in love with Him. And when you are, it makes things so much easier.”

So you too, just like me, were guilty of not obeying the greatest commandment: Love the Lord your God with all your heart…

But we were both still saved during that sin, weren’t we? I mean we can’t claim we didn’t know, or just slipped up, or that it’s not as big a sin as those my friend did because it’s the greatest commandment, right?

Salvation begins with repenting the one sin that makes the difference between heaven or hell. And that’s rejecting Jesus Christ. What follows is the clean-up operation!

      25. QUICK CORRECTION on my last reply: THIS—>Yes, we are saved by works..and not of ourselves..it is a gift of God.<—- Instead, I meant to write "Yes, we are NOT saved by works…and not of ourselves…it is a gift of God."

      26. I agree with most of what hou said Todd. I would only emphasize that the motivation must be gratitude and love, not an attempt to be good enough.

      27. Philmayo
        Absolutely, I agree
Motivation must be from love and gratitude
        Live a life of thanks
        Have a good day brother

  18. Osteen is under the principle of James 3:1, by putting himself in front of people and presenting himself as a teacher of people. James 3:1 is a very strong warning to not teach unless there is surety of what is being taught. Since Osteen does not follow the Bible, then he is in far more danger.

The only thing I can bring myself to pray for, is that people are delivered away from Osteen’s poison, and that Osteen be saved if he is not saved. According to his own doctrines, since he does not believe that Jesus is the only way to heaven, then he might not be saved.

    1. Well said Andy. As a ‘teacher’ he will be held to a higher standard. I just hope and pray that he, as well as the people he’s leading come to the knowledge of the truth before it’s too late. Time is indeed short.

      1. Very true, Anon. You are right, time is short. But it’s getting worse with Osteen, not better. He says that mormons are Christians (???), he says that he isn’t prepared to say that Jesus is the only way to heaven (double ???), and he will teach there for decades without having gone through most of any of the verses of the Bible. Thus, he can’t be called a Bible teacher, and since he isn’t a Bible teacher, then he isn’t a pastor, and since he doesn’t preach the Gospel, then he is only there to make money.

      2. God did say that in the last days there would be ‘strong delusion,’ and everything He has told us in advance is unfolding before our eyes. People like Joel and the many others like him, are just a great example of the truthfulness of the Word of God. Many will believes the lies, because they did not have love of the truth.

“because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.” Romans 1:19-21

      3. “Many will believes the lies, because they did not have love of the truth.”

That is so sad but true, Anon.

    1. Excellent Lyn. Wish we had more preachers like Paul Washer.. Instead we have more Osteens than Washers. Washer is right when he says that the people who listen to Joel will have no excuse because he’s saying to them exactly what their itching ears want to hear, the ‘happy gospel.’

      1. Amen Anon! I found it on accident. I was looking for a good preaching post to publish on my prophecy news website..and thought this was perfect for this discussion! I hope everyone opposed to us and what we’re trying to say watches the video too. And I hope the Holy Spirit opens their hearts, their ears, and their eyes..before it is too late. Being honest, firm, and real is love. Being false and fake is not. I would rather someone who says they love me tell me the truth any day of the week, even if it’s NOT what I want to hear, than I would they lie to me.

      2. No accident, he’s one of the few good men left. I listen to Paul Washer quite often. You can also try John MacArthur.at gty.org.
This world is truly upside down, and very quickly going to hell in
the proverbial hand-basket. God bless Lyn. Come quickly Lord!

    2. Interesting video.

I was brought up an atheist, so I didn’t consider the sins he describes as being sinful. In fact the only thing the Holy Spirit convicted me of was the Jesus is alive, and Jesus is Lord. It was over a period of time that through reading the Bible I became aware of my sins.

I wander at what point in my walk with Jesus he would say I became saved.

  19. ALL YOU DO IS LOOKING TO SHOOT….WHY NOT LOOK TO BLESS..? THE BIBLE SAYS TO BLESS NOT CURSE..WAKE UP ! Haters

    1. Dear Albert.

      Shalom.

      My comment:

God hates sin. Likewise, true Christians hate sins, and call people to repent. That you do not mind the candy coated messages from men like Joel Osteen, will eventually lead you into trouble.

Let me ask you some simple questions:

      1. Is there any other God, than the God that took the Hebrews out of Egypt?

      2. Is Jesus the Messiah the only way to the Father in Heaven?

      3. Can men escape Hell if they do not accept Jesus as Lord and God?

      4. Will Buddhists, Muslims, Hindus and New Ager’s have to spend eternity in Hell?

      5. Is the Bible, alone, the highest authority in all matter’s of who God is?

Please answer these question, before you pass on more comments.

      1. Shalom Ivar,
I just wanted to make one comment re: Albert if I may. There are many like him who go to websites, and do exactly what he’s doing, distracting others from the issue at hand, and involving them in useless disputes. That’s want they do. I think he knows exactly what he’s doing. Still, i can’t wait to see how he answers the questions you have asked him.

    2. BTW..you have proven that you do not want to hear the truth because you ignore it and argue over nothing but lies of Satan. We stand on truth..Albert. And YES WE ARE HATERS! We are haters of Satan and the kingdom of hell! Praise the Lord! Thank you so much for noticing our hatred for Satan’s lies and deceptions…that is awesome! God bless you for that, Albert! You have made my day! Those of us who stand on God’s Truth will be persecuted..even more by the wolves in sheep’s clothing..like yourself.

  20. Love tells the truth (1 Corinthians 13:6). It is a blessing to people to hear that Osteen is a false teacher. A blessing to them, so that they know to avoid his poison.

    1. Dear Andy, telling the truth…what is truth? Truth is reality of a thing,,,,,and the original information, GOD’s very source of character is LOVE, YOU SAY TELL THENTRUTH IS LOVE, THAT’s half truth, YOU CAN USE GOD’s WORD TO JUDGE PEOPLE OR ATTACK PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOUR CLAIM IS NOT FULLY TRUE, YOU SHOULD BECAREFUL ON USING WORD LIKE FALSE TEACHER OR PREACHER, AND EVEN WHEN IT IS TRUE, WE ALL SHOULD KEEP THAT PURE HEART ATTITUDE , WHAT ABOUT WHEN GOD SAYS LOVE UNCONDITIONALLY, WHEN YOU CARRY THE LOVE OF GOD INSIDE, BUT THE WORDS COMINGNOUT IS NOT IN LINE WITH THE SPIRIT, THEN YOU CONTRADICT YOUR FAITH…A TRUE MAN OF GOD WILL KNOW HOW TO USE WORDS,..YOU DON’T HAVE TO WORD EVERY THOUGHT COMES TO YOUR MIND, I AM VERY SAD, SO MANY CHRISTIAN LOVES TO JUDGE AND ATTACK ANOTHER…USING THE WORD “TELLING THE TRUTH IS LOVE”….please check the heart attitude…your inner spirit, the holy spirit? If you still continue to think your behaviour is justifiable then I cannot comment no more, and I doubt you LOVE WALK-I regret your personal relationship with GOD- because if you all love to judge then you don’t have time to LOVE THEM,..REPENT!!!! Because the KINGDOM OF GOD IS LOVE…NOT WORDS BUT POWER,,LOVE IS POWERFUL, JUDGEMENTAL SPIRIT IS OF DEMONS,,,GOD LOVES YOU ALL

      1. Albert.

Shalom, and a message based on the true love of Jesus.

You reply tells me that you are not interested in answering my questions. So to not bother writing more comments on this site. If I do not see answers, you next massage will be spammed.

        Editor.

      2. Albert,

God’s love includes truth. But Osteen doesn’t teach truth, so Osteen doesn’t have God’s love

  21. The last thing I would like to say on this issue to anyone who might think that I am promoting the idea that salvation by faith alone means we can live a life of sin with impunity; is this:

They accused the apostle Paul of teaching that same thing. This is why he went to great lengths to prove that he wasn’t.

And if the gospel you preach doesn’t attract similar accusations, it isn’t the same gospel that Paul preached.

    1. Well said. The true Gospel will always have someone out there saying “well that means you can just sin it up!”. That accusation will always come at some point, if a person is preaching the true Gospel. Because the true Gospel is that free of a gift. Thus Paul’s response to the person saying “sin it up”, would be, shall we continue in sin? God forbid.
