“Because of Oslo there is a Palestinian peace camp”. Shimon Peres calls for Israel to initiate end to conflict.
There are few things that President Shimon Peres regrets. Although there is a large Israeli camp that argues that the Oslo Accords were Israel’s most misguided attempt at peace, Peres disagrees.
In a wide-ranging interview with The Jerusalem Post, the full text of which appears in Monday’s Independence Day supplement, the president contends that the Oslo Accords, signed in September 1993, were not a mistake, because without them, there would be only one Palestinian camp – a camp of terror.
Because of the accords, he says, there is a Palestinian peace camp.
If he does have any regrets, they extend further back than Oslo. When he was foreign minister, Peres entered into a secret agreement with Jordan’s King Hussein. The agreement – signed in London on April 11, 1987, in the presence of Jordanian prime minister Zaid al-Rifai and Yossi Beilin, who was then director-general of the Foreign Ministry – outlined a framework for a peaceful solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict based on United Nations Security Council Resolutions 224 and 338.
The details were to be discussed at an international conference hosted by the UN, with the stipulation that a solution would not be imposed on the parties concerned. The agreement also called for the renunciation of terrorism and violence.

I have the deepest respect for senior Jewish leader Shimon Peres. No one should question the statesmanship of the present Israeli President.
But in regards to their understanding of the enemies of the Jews, secular men like Shimon Peres lack spiritual discernment.
By claiming Ramallah to be a “Palestinian peace camp” he deceive and misguide his Jewish brethren.
The PLO has never, and will never, be interested to sign a peace agreement with Israel, based on Israel remaining a Jewish state.
The PLO can accept the formation of a “Palestinian state” based on the so-called “1967 border lines”.
Shimon Peres obviously are aware that there is no “1967 border lines”, just an temporary agreement to cease fire. The moment the IDF is forced by the Knesset for withdraw beyond this cease fore lines, the ploy to destroy the whole of Israel will begin.
The so-called Oslo-accords is nothing but a betrayal of the Biblical Zionist instructions given to the Jewish people. Never deny any Jew, the right to live in the districts of Judea and Samaria. A refusal to obey this instruction, will lead you into a direct confrontation with God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
The Jewish people can never find peace, without living in submission to their God.
Many religious people wrongly claim Judaism to be a false religion. The correct view is that Judaism is an incomplete religion, without a clear picture of who the Messiah is. The Jews keep on searching for their King that who has already come. And He will soon return as the Lion of Judah.
This man is Yeshua of Nazareth. There is no other Messiah but Him.
I hope and pray that Shimon Peres will not deny Him, but rather embrace Him as the Rock of Israel. Amen.
