“The next term will be one of the most challenging in Israel’s history”.
These are the words of Benjamin Netanyahu, who seems to be able to form a new government in Israel.
“This is not an exaggeration. We are facing security and diplomatic challenges. It is important that this government be able to respond to these challenges,” said Netanyahu, who is entering his third term as prime minister.
“We kept the important portfolios. The important thing is we regained the defense portfolio and kept the foreign affairs portfolio. These are the most important portfolios for running the country,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told a Likud-Beiteinu faction meeting Thursday after reaching an agreement to form a new coalition government that is expected to try to curb years of preferential treatment for the ultra-Orthodox.
On the eve of the election in Israel, I wrote that Benjamin Netanyahu will come back as a weakened Prime Minister of Israel.
After watching the wrestling done to make a new coalition government, I know I am right.
Benjamin Netahyahu will find it difficult to bridge the gap between secular Israelis in Tel Aviv and the settlers in Hebron.
The new government might be torn apart by internal bickering. This will strengthen the enemies of Israel, who will feel the end of the “Zionist entry” in near.
Netanyahu’s two main partners, Yesh Atid and Habayit Hayehudi, have radical opposite views on how Israel shall be able to achieve “peace”. A fresh union between the new Pope and Obama will be presented as “peace partners” for Israel. The mother of all compromise is in the pipeline.
People of Israel. Behold: Again you have got a confirmation that there is no political solution to the security problems facing your homeland.
New King James Version (NKJV)
But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days!
And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath.
For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.
Only the Messiah can solve the coming days of chaos.
Do not expect anyone else, than Jesus of Nazareth to come to your rescue. He is the promised Messiah.
