The Likud party wants the IDF to enter Gaza. The Kadima only wants targeted assignations of Hamas leaders from the air.
The leaders in Israel have not reached an agreement of how to give the Hamas a mortal blow. While the Likud party lead by Benjamin Netanyahu is seeing a military intervention in Gaza as the best option, the Israeli opposition is not ready for a new Gaza war.
Labor leader Shelly Yacimovich said that the eve of an election is not the right time for a military operation.
“For action beyond an air attack or hitting a specific target, stability and a national consensus are necessary,” she told Army Radio. “Maybe a [wide-scale] operation is necessary, but not now.”
Kadima leader Shaul Mofaz said that in his experience as a former IDF chief of staff, the best policy to stop Hamas’s terrorism is to target and assassinate the terrorist organization’s leaders.
“We achieved great deterrence with the policy of targeted killings,” Mofaz said in an interview with Army Radio.
“Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu was strong against [Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas] but not when it comes to Hamas.”
The upcoming election should not deter the military from a wide-scale operation in Gaza, explained Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin.

If you put this into an historical perspective.
The allied forced entered France in 1944. The Nazis were still ruling in Paris.
Could the allied forces have been able to remove the Nazis from Paris, by simply bombing the ruling terrorists from the air?
The German forces would have continued to terrorize the civilian population in France.
Nazi-Germany could also have continued to fire rockets into Southern England.
If Russia, China and most of the World had continued to support Nazi-Germany, the combined US and British forces would have faced a problem.
Just like Israel is doing to day.
Nothing is new under the sun. To remove the cancer of terrorism, the allied forces did not only have to fight inside the city of Paris. They had to go the whole way to Berlin.
Gaza is not Berlin. But the spiritual forces that rules in these places are the same. Gaza is for Iran, what Paris was for Hitler.
Jesus the Messiah has not promised the Jewish people an easy going. As we approach the end, the Jews will again be branded as the “enemies of peace”, and the root of all kinds of evil in the World.
Behold: The final day of Judgment is not fare away.
