Hurricane, Earthquake, and Tsunami : All signs of the Coming of Christ.

Hurricane Sandy devastation in Breezy Point in Queens, NY.

By now all of us have heard the devastation, Hurricane Sandy brought to several states. My own family lives near to a few of the disaster areas. I found myself that night, praying until three in the morning, that Lord Jesus Christ keep everyone safe. But Christ has warned all of us that perilous times such as these would become more and more frequent.

Luke 21:25 “There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea.”

It should come to no surprise to us, believers in the complete Word of God, that Jesus speaks the truth. It should also not be seen as a coincidence that a hurricane which caused major destruction, an earthquake in British Columbia, and a tsunami warning in Hawaii occurred within hours, if not one or two days of each other.

Luke 21: 26 People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken.

And yet, people still scoff and shrug this away as a result of “mother nature,” instead of realizing that Jesus is the Only One that can Save. They’d rather believe in such nonsense, then repent.

2 Peter 3:3-4 “Knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires. They will say, “Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation.”

Jesus is telling us right now he is near! Besides the weather, there have been an increase of murders, lawlessness, people with no regard for lives, or the crimes they commit. Now is not the time to close your eyes and take it easy. Now is the time to pick up the Word of God.

Matthew 24:37-39 For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

Jesus told us no one knows, but God as to when Our King Comes. But we must be prepared, spiritually at all times. There is no excuse! Our King has given us everything we need to ready.

Matthew 24:36 “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.”

Matthew 24:42 Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming.

Taking the leg bone of Oliver out for a stroll

If you ever get the desire to pray in front of a leg bone, this might be your chance.

The arrangement seems to be nite for a bow before the remains of a man, who was removed from his grave and cut into pieces.

For those who might believe this is a joke, you will get a proper link to the publisher’s of these photos.

The head of Oliver Plukett is kept in a different box, than his leg bone.

The Relic of St Oliver Plunkett in kept in the parish church of his native Oldcastle in Ireland.  Please do not let your children pray in front of his cut of head.  They might get nightmares.

His feast is 11th of July.  If you want to read more about St. Oliver, we have provided some information for you. Click this link.

Even a leg bone needs to get some fresh air, at least once a year. This one is paraded in Ireland on 11th of July.

I am not sure what persons in the Bible, this kind of wickedness best can be related to. But I have concluded that the dull mind of King Nebuchadnezzar might be a suitable example. The idolatry of the Babylonian king made him mad. He started to eat grass “like a cow”, and even his nails became deformed. He must have both looked and acted like an animal.

 Daniel 4:33
Immediately what had been said about Nebuchadnezzar was fulfilled. He was driven away from people and ate grass like cattle. His body was drenched with the dew of heaven until his hair grew like the feathers of an eagle and his nails like the claws of a bird.

I am not sure if the bones of “St. Oliver” can hear any prayers. But the priest have at least given the worshipers a notice of whom this leg bone is supposed to have belonged too, before his grave was opened and looted by  Roman Catholic priests.
