Religious leaders call on Congress to re-evaulate military aid to Israel.
Fifteen leaders of U.S. churches and other faith-based organizations have asked Congress to reevaluate U.S. military aid to Israel.
“As Christian leaders in the United States, it is our moral responsibility to question the continuation of unconditional U.S. financial assistance to the government of Israel. Realizing a just and lasting peace will require this accountability, as continued U.S. military assistance to Israel — offered without conditions or accountability — will only serve to sustain the status quo and Israel’s military occupation of the Palestinian territories,” the letter, signed by leaders of the Lutheran, Methodist, UCC churches, and the National Council of Churches, said.
The American Jewish Committee said it was outraged by the Christian leaders’ call.
“When the world currently is focused on the Iranian nuclear threat to the entire Middle East and the world, Christian leaders have chosen to mount another political attack on Israel,” said Rabbi Noam Marans, AJC director of Interreligious and Intergroup Relations.
“When religious liberty and safety of Christians across the Middle East are threatened by the repercussions of the Arab Spring, these Christian leaders have chosen to initiate a polemic against Israel, a country that protects religious freedom and expression for Christians, Muslims and others.”

The last days will be known for the great falling away, and a massive betrayal of Israel.
Pagans can not fall away from a faith they have never had. It is followers of Jesus who are going to walk away from faith, and join others who are willing to betray the Messiah.

There is a huge error in your replacement theology, and your “Christ” is a copycat Messiah. It was Jesus the Messiah who gave Abraham this promise. Did Jesus have to use Abraham to give a promise to Him self?

When it comes to being grafted into the natural tree spoken of in Romans it requires faith. This is a spiritual thing. This is about salvation. All men have been bound to disobedience so that all men can receive mercy.

The promise in genesis is about salvation and an inheritance of eternal value. We have the entire scripture that gives us the full understanding of the promise. The book of Hebrews tells the 1st century Jews that Abraham lived in the land as a sojourner, as did Issac and Jacob who were heirs of the same promise. He did not make permanent residence their because he was looking for a better place. He was looking forward to the city whose architect and builder is God. The point that the writer of Hebrews was trying to get across to them was that the temporal earthly land is not important and is not the inheritance, they should be looking forward to the inheritance that was promised to Abraham. A heavenly land, that is of greater value. So much importance is placed on the land when the focus should be on salvation. Jews can call it their land if they want, but should consider it as Abraham did, a temporary place. Without Christ the temporal earthly land is all they will get. In Christ the land is not important
because the promised land is a heavenly land. Outside of Christ
the earthly temporal land is the most important because its all they have in this life. The perspective is different inside of Christ.

It’s a shame that such people can’t read Romans chapters 9 through 11 and realize that they are fighting against the very Root that they claim to be in. No body disputes that Jesus is the root. No body disputes that the first followers of Jesus were Jewish. They were the first to receive it. It went to the Jew first. I certainly am grateful for Christ and the first fruits (Jews) who were witnesses and took the gospel to the ends of the earth. Them and the apostles revealed the mystery of God. That mystery was that the Gentiles would be included into the natural tree through faith just as they had faith.

But don’t forget that through the power of adoption gentiles were made sons just as the Jews who believe were, therefore giving them equal inheritance. In defense of Andy, the RT types are famous for making it up as they go along (see RCC, Lutherans, Anglicans). The very well known teacher John Piper is one of these. He’s caught taking Romans 11:28 and inserting that the Jews are enemies of God.
A good break out of this comes from Rabbi Baruch:

Thank you for your comment. My Bible does not have God in the verse you cited, Rom 11:28. However to clarify who is being referred to in the verse look at the context. Paul is talking about his fellow kinsman,ie Israelites, and I would clarify that a little further as unbelieving Israelites. But he’s telling his readers even though they are enemies because they definitely had much to do with the persecution of the saints, they are loved and to be loved because of the Patriarchs. I do not listen or read any of John Piper’s stuff. I believe Paul mention’s in his letter to the Phillipians “For as I have told you before and now say it again even with tears,many live as enemies of the cross. Who was he speaking about in that verse? and who was he reffering to that would cause him to weep over their actions? Above you mentioned the circumcision group. You might be surprised to find out that the group seems to have resurrected somewhat. In the circles of the Messianic Jews is a growing theology of the “One New Man” teaching that keeping the feasts and following a more Jewish form of worship and identity is needed to be more pleasing to God. Since most Americans are circumcised that part is moot but does the rest sound familiar? What becomes a problem for them is it seems to attract more Gentiles ( the over religious?) which then seems to alienate potential new Jewish believers. Interesting…

Paul’s epistle to the Galatians is

of a Judaizing sect which sought to
bind upon the Galatians
(particularly the Gentiles) certain
Jewish practices in accordance
with the law of Moses. The issue
focused on the role of
circumcision in salvation (see Acts
15:1-5). Must the Gentiles be
circumcised to be saved? Or asked
another way, is obedient faith in
Jesus Christ sufficient for
salvation? How will the Gentiles be
saved: by the work of
circumcision or by faith in Christ?
It seems clear that after a recent
visit of Paul to the Galatian
churches certain Judaizers traveled
through the region adding to
Paul’s gospel of salvation through
faith in Christ. These antagonists
had, in fact, perverted the gospel
of Christ (Gal. 1:8,9). They had
turned the grace of God into a
legalistic code.

Tis true what you say, and this is why New testament writings came about so quickly. False teaching was rampant just a Jesus said that it would in his Olivet discourse. Its amazing how the spirit inspired these men to write and how consistent their writings were with each other. This false teaching needed to be adressed. Very good Tiva

Is not the trinity a C atholic come pagan doctrine. The word trinity does not appear in the Bible. Consider this. God is eternal. For a mere 6 thousand years Jesus and the Holy Spirit are active and then are absorbed by God for eternity. Now. About Abraham. Who are the promised and true children of Abraham? Gal. 3.29. And if you are. Christs, then you are Abraham’s seed, (children) and heirs according to the promise. ( covenant) Again Paul says that not the Jews of the flesh are Abraham’s children but only the born again Jews and Gentiles. Therefore the unsaved Jews are not God’s people. The Bible is not about the Jews but about Jesus and the Gentiles.
