Waving blue and white Israeli flags, thousands of evangelical Christians from around the world filled streets of downtown Jerusalem.
The annual march during the weeklong Jewish Sukkot holiday brings together Christians from dozens of countries.
Evangelical Christians are known as strong supporters of Israel, providing financial help and political backing, especially in the U.S. Even so, their hard-line views toward Palestinians and suspect religious motivations make some moderate Israelis and Jews abroad uncomfortable.
“This is the real United Nations,” said Sheila Hakes, 41, from Alabama. “Israelis are our brothers and sisters, so we must protect them from Iran and evil,” a reference to Iran’s suspicious nuclear program, adding, “Jesus will come here again.”
Thursday’s event was organized by the International Christian Embassy of Jerusalem, a group that promotes ties between Israel and the world’s Christian communities. The group also sponsored a conference this week that drew more than 5,000 people from nearly 90 countries, including 25 parliamentarians from various nations.
Another prominent group, the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, said it raises more than USD 110 million a year for charitable causes in Israel.

Evangelical Christians who do not support Israel have been deceived. At best they are lukewarm.
Let me underline: Many people will be saved by the Messiah, regardless of they were able locate Israel on the map. But if it was within your capacity to bless the Jewish homeland, and you ignored or harm the Jewish people, you are in for trouble.
Comfort, comfort my people, says your God. Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and proclaim to her that her hard service has been completed, that her sin has been paid for, that she has received from the Lord’s hand double for all her sins.
The normal deceptions, are linked to these few points of view:
1. You have not read the full Bible.
This is a not excusable error among people who claim they love Jesus. They have simply not read the Bible that Jesus had. They have only read the New Testament.
2. Your pastor or priest have never taught about Israel.
Jesus do not care who you have spoken to, or what kind of deception you have walked into. You are personal responsible to be in a fellowship where the truth is spoken.
my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. “Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children.
3. You do not believe that the Bible is the infallible word of God.
This is also a common error. Because if the Prophetic Word can not be trusted, not a single line in the Bible can be trusted. You have built your faith of a “Jesus” of your own choice.
4. Israel do so many bad things, that God can not love them
If you feel Israel are doing more mistake than others, it is time for you to take a look in the mirror.
