Reject Joyce Meyer and her Word of Faith falsehood

Charismatic TV-pastor Joyce Meyer speaks about “god” not being able to anoint those who have doubts. She also warns against using judgment in regards to question of faith.

Joyce Meyer is a dangerous false teachers, deceiving her self and those who accept her “god”.

World of Faith preacher Joyce Meyer explains in a guest column in Christian Posts about mans ability to stop or block the power and anointing of “god”.

Like all false teachers, even Joyce Meyer do have some good points. If she had non, who would have listen to her?

This is what Mayer writes:

“One of the ways we can do damage to God’s anointing is by speaking with a mixture of faith and doubt. We’ll say a few positive, faith-filled words here, and a few negative, doubtful words there. This weakens God’s anointing on our life”.

This place the responsibility for God’s work on me. And I will be responsible for God being able to “anoint me” or not. This is a doctrinal error. When God can make a donkey speak, an animal with no faith at all. He can surly use all of us.

 Jeremiah 27:6
Now I will hand all your countries over to my servant Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; I will make even the wild animals subject to him.

God of the Hebrews is supreme. No man can block His power, or stop His work. He is even free to use non-believers whenever he desire.  A man who claim to have the powers explained by Joyce Meyer, are above “god”. This is heresy, often taught in the Charismatic circles of false Christianity.

Nevertheless: It is true that God might not anoint a human being who has no faith.. And God surely do not like crack pots and people who goes around and spread negativity.  But Joyce Meyers error is that she reduce God’a supremacy and ability. The “god” of Joyce Meyer is not God of the Bible.

Joyce Meyer preach some kind of feel-good-gospel, with man in the center of his own universe.

Lets read more about the “god” of Joyce Meyer:

“If we want to have God’s power working in us and through us on a daily basis, then we have to be in agreement with God―not just part of the time, but all of the time”.

Again her message is centered around “I” and “we” and not God. It is us who can summon God, and make Him work through us. And we have to be in agreement with God, not only in part, but ALL the time.

This is again something taught against the very character of God of the Hebrews.

 2 Peter 3:16
He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.

Joyce Meyer basically say that she is able to be in agreement with God all the tome.  Some king of magic powers is surely at work. Because man can never be in agreement with God totally and fully, all the time. If that was possible, man would be “god’.  There was no need for any other “god” than me.

 John 2:24
But Jesus would not entrust himself to them, for he knew all men.

Joyce Meyer would have fitted well among the Pharisees.

Joyce Meyer try to make us accept Serpent Theology. The message from the garden of Eden. Satan basically lifted up Eve to the the level of God, when her Father in Heaven has put clear limitation of her authority and knowledge.  And lifted up by Satan, Eve fell into sin by her self acting as “god”.

 1 Corinthians 13:9
For we know in part and we prophesy in part.

More from Joyce Meyer:

“Don’t judge other people. For example, if you want God’s anointing to be on you for parenting, you need to be careful not to criticize other parents”.

To use judgment is necessary every day of our life. If we do not use judgment, we will not be able to detect and expose false teachers and false prophets.

Matthew 15:14
Leave them; they are blind guides. If a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit.”

Now: How can we leave false teachers, if we are not permitted to judge what they teach and say?

If false teachers are permitted to enter into Christian fellowships, someone must have failed to judge their message and errors.  We have the right to criticize our parents also, if they are not in the Lord.  If you father tries to force you to drink a bottle of Gin, rebuke him. Use your divine judgment, and tell him to repent.

Joyce Meyer expose her self as a dangerous false teacher. Do not listen to her message, and do not let her teach the flock in your fellowship.

  1. Good thing you bring this TV-preacher up, Ivar.

I was introduced to her ‘show’ a few years ago, and didn’t know anything about her then, and apart from her (excuse me) ‘American style’, i initially liked her.
She spoke of having been sexually abused as a child, and of how God had helped her rise above this, and to eventually forgive. No wonder if people initially are drawn to such a testimony.

Now, this was at a time when I was not yet fully awake to all the apostasy and falseood we see. But, after having watched Joyce meyers show for some time, she began to ‘show her true colours’, so that it was plain even for me to see!

One thing i remember was her telling of how she once sent a staff member home, because this woman hadn’t ironed her skirt properly! And this reflected badly on the ministry (the ‘work of God’)!
What heartlessness, I thought. (= Bad fruit.)

Another ‘click’ in my mind was, when Meyer spoke of us being ‘little gods’, and of the power (we have) that is in the spoken word – it sounded very much like incantations and spells, to me.
She taught the listeners how to ‘speak out’ things, as if they already existed. Isn’t it only God, who creates out of nothing, by His word? Are we God’s equals?! (= False teaching.)

The final straw came, as I watched a Meyer ‘mission’ campaign in India, where they had gathered up hundreds of people, and entertained them whith a rock-‘worship’-band, that looked, and behaved like any other rock-band.
Then Joice Meyer came on stage, and gave a message that very much would appeal to poor, sick, and needy – about how God basically would ‘fulfill all their needs, and wishes’. (= False hope.)

If I don’t remember wrong, I think she even took herself as an example of God’s blessing… Then I didn’t know the full extent of the Meyer clan’s extravagant living…And I still don’t. ( = Bad fruit.)

At the end, Joyce Meyer gave an invitation for everybody to stand up and stretch up their hands, and say something along the lines of “Jesus, I receive you – and ALL that you have for me…”
What kind of ‘salvation prayer’ is that!?!?
And who wouldn’t want ALL (of what Meyer had promised they could get… health, wealth…) that ‘Jesus’ had for them?
    So, all hands went up.
But, as I watched the faces of the crowd, many stood whith lifted hands, looking around at everyone else, confused… It didn’t look as if their mind and attention was on the Lord.

If Anyone AT ALL got truly converted and saved that night, it would be because of God’s sovereign mercy – despite of the preaching – and not becayse the Meyer team was there.
But, of course the ‘victory report’ afterwards told of so and so many hundreds, or thousands saved (!?) through Joyce Meyer Ministries! (And please, send your donations, so God can bless you back!)

How do they know who, and how many were saved?
What kind of follow-up was made available for the ‘new believers’?

    To sum up: BAD FRUIT!

And this is when I stopped listening to Joyce Meyer.

  2. Yes we’ve had our concerns here about Joyce and the Word of Faith movement here. And we have “evangelized” against this telling God what to do and “send me lots of money” ministry. Like the Mormons, this little gods message is more of the apostasy spreading out. Their message denies the correction and ministry of The Father in using troubles for growth.

But the apostasy is everywhere. The mega-church preacher Andy Stanley recently taught that adultery is sin. Well that’s great, but the teaching also taught much other stuff. The man in question left his wife to go live with his lover, a man, in one of the branch churches. Both were ministering in service ministries while practicing homosexuals. Adam Stanley then preaches that the man is wrong……because he isn’t divorced yet……thus committing adultery. He doesn’t even touch on the subject that he is having sex with a man, a member in the church (which he shouldn’t be) and then in the service. So, according to Stanley, it’s okay to be a practicing homosexual ministering in the church. So what’s next, they get a homosexual assistant pastor????

oops. Sorry about the off topic rant…

  3. ‘godsfingers’, I believe thet neither ‘trouble’ nor ‘growth’ in the biblical sense are welcome by this crowd.
It’s ‘prosperity’ all the wide and merry way…

(On a sidenote, how did you manage to get your nice ‘thumbnail’ picture?)

  4. DO NOT ACCUSE! that’s not your job. Rather, seek FIRST the kingdom of YAHWEH, the entire church going world practices INIQUITY both Catholic and Protestant. Look up the scriptural definition of Iniquity, then repent of it. It’s easy to see the sins of others, but we never examine ourselves.

    Praise Yahweh

    1. Simon,

You say don’t accuse. But to correct others in how they are using the Word of God, is not accusing.,

2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,

And we are living in the day and age, where false teachers are to be tested in what they speak, especially if it contradicts the Word of God.

Matthew 7:15 “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.”

      1. You haven”t shown me in the bible where it says that people can’t block the work of the Holy Spirit. They did in Nazereth and other places according to the Gospeks

    2. What are you talking about . let me give you an example about life , i have a cousin that likes to spread lies and cause problems in marriage she really has an evil heart I dont judge her but i tell people that are mature and not ignorant people like yourself that dont undersand , i tell them to watch their back from this women, i am warning people, a warning is not wrong there is a big diffrence between judge and warning someone.First , you have to live in reality, if i go and steal my neighbors car tonight she is going to accused me by calling 911, is common sense.A thief is a thief and a false teacher is a false teacher ,you have to warn people if you love them. Some people forget the world we live in, this world is full of warnings.Fix your eyes on jesus guard your heart and soul and watch your back. When i steal my neighbors car tonight am going to tell the cop that she is accusing me and judging me and am goin to tell the cop that she needs to see her sins before accussing me.Guess what? nobody saw me but her and i dump her car on the woods in front of my house and i cant believe she is accusing me thats what am going to tell the cop.Use common sense.joyce meyer= false teacher is as easy as answering 1+1=

    3. Scripture reveals the truth of Scripture. I would advise seeking the “Whole Counsel” of God. We are not to judge individuals, however, we are to rightly divide the Word of Truth and test the spirits to see if they are of God.

  5. Talking about this mega pastor… How about Joel osteen and Rick Warren what’s up with them? They seem like they don’t want to talk about sin and how desperately we need Jesus in our lives.

    1. Prudent

Rick Warren is a dangerous man not be follow he is leading member of his down to hell with his false teaching and by claiming that Moslem, Christians worship same God how true is that?
      Rick Warren Avoids the
      Subjects of Repentance,
      Sin, Guilt, Judgment,
      Hellfire, and Damnation
      No methodology, or level of
      religious commitment, can
      substitute for repentance
      towards God (Acts 20:21).
      Rick Warren’s book is filled
      with oodles of religious
      jibber-jabber that would
      appease any heathen.

  6. Prudent,
Joel Osteen preaches a cross-less, feel-good ‘gospel’, and by his own admission doesn’t ‘talk much about sin’.
The crowds who gather to hear him WANT their ears tickled – they want ‘their best life NOW’!

Rick Warren is apparently both a ‘knight of Malta’ (Catholic), and a member of the Trilateral Commission? His agenda goes hand in hand whith the UN. And it’s all about people of different religions working together to ‘save the world’…

    1. Dear Angela.

False Christians do not want Christians to use their best judgment, and test all spirits. That is why they do not wants us to bell their own brother. False Christian Joel Osteen.

Simple principle. Easy to understand, even for small Children.

  7. You are distorting the message Joyce Meyer preaches. Of course God’s power is blocked by people who don’t believe. Jesus could not do any great work in his hometown because of their unbelief. It is God’s will that all men shall be saved the bible says. But they aren’t because men ,women have a free will . Of course we have to cooperate with the Lord for him to work in us. Draw near unto me and I will draw near unto you the bible says.Don’t tear down someones ministry unless you know the totality of their work, and then bring it up with them not for the world to see.If their is a genuine doctrinal difference write about first without calling them false christians, etc. It is Satan who is called the accuser of the brethren.

    1. Again, testing these teachers is what the Bible calls for us to do, and when people don’t like it, they fling around the world “accuse.”

1 John 4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.

      1. Tell me in detail what is wrong with Joyce Meyers ministry according to the Bible then I will listen to you

      2. Frank,

Actually the article above is very detailed. That man has the ability to stop the annointing of God and block his power is a joke. For our King is great in all things.

She is a “mixed” preacher like the article states, but all falsehoods, may have good mixed in with what goes against God’s Word.

Also more of a statement with these well known preachers: who makes millions of dollars and spends next to none on charity’s example” feeding the poor. Joyce makes about 8 million a month on her website. Yet, only $880,000 a month is going to the charity. Where is the other over 7 million a month going?

Also one of Joyce many false statements: “Now whether you like it or not, whether you want to admit it or not, whether you want to operate on it or not, you are made the righteousness of God in Jesus Christ. Most people who go to denominational churches never ever hear that! They never hear it! Never! All I was ever taught to say was, ‘I’m a poor, miserable sinner.’ I am not poor, I am not miserable and I am not a sinner. That is a lie from the pit of hell. That is what I was and if I still am then Jesus died in vain. Amen?” *end of Joyce statement*

Yet the WORD OF GOD says:

1 John 8: 10 “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.”

    2. Dear Frank

We speak what bible say rather than being deceived by word of faith teachers especially you must hate they doctrine because are not biblical
      Meyer is
      motivator. The problem with Mrs.
Meyers is that her doctrine is not
Biblical. She does teach some good
things but she also teaches way to
many things that are not Biblically
correct. Like the rest of the Word
Faith, Seed Faith, Name It And
Claim it crowd, Mrs. Meyers lives
      an extravagant lifestyle.

    3. Hi Frank,

There is no distorting of the fact that following Joyce Meyers, Copeland, Hagen and the such put you under the bondage and condemnation of positive speech and thinking. With the problem of turning you away from the will of God. Sorry, but there is no place in their teaching allowing for God’s correction or His training and conditioning by allowing you to be down and out, or a specific illness. Sometimes God allows an unpopular condition to put you in a specific place at a specific time for a specific ministry for a season. And no amount of positive confession will get you out of it.

And as for your last line, their love of money and Bling is their accuser….

      1. Don’t put Ministries in a such a simple category. There are many good ministries out there .I weigh what they preach. Some so called word of faith ministries go to far ,but there is truth in some of what they preach.I don’t go along with some of what Ken Copeland says ,but what is biblical i do agree with. Rheinhard Bonke who has many legitimate conversions and healings in his ministry has gotten a lot of financial support from K Copeland. The doctrine of forgiving others like God forgives us has its biggest impetus from so called faith ministries.. Trusting God and the word ,like George Mueller did in believing for finances for orphans is also taught by faith ministers today.Forgivng others and not being offended is a stumbling block in a lot of christian lives, myself included, but again it is mainly faith ministries I have heard this from, and it has helped me a lot. Meditating on Gods word and declaring it has been a benefit in my life. It is very biblical and has helped me.Praising and worshipping God out loud has helped me and this comes from faith ministries.I can listen to ministers and whether or not they are Baptist. or evangelical I can learn if they love Jesus. Even cows know how to spit out the sticks when they are chewing hay. So don’t be so eager to put someone in a rejected category when you don’t know the totality of their ministry or their heart.God expects to have faith as Hebrews 11 says. We live in a spiritually dark world and we must avail ourselves of the weapons in the the word of God that He has given us

  8. Gloria ;Again just show me in the word of God where she is incorrect. I am open. I have changed my mind if I am wrong;but not one post has shown what the Bereans did and that is to show by the word if it is wrong or not.You can”t slam ministers and caricature and twist what they preach without backing it up with truth. The word of God is truth.

  9. When you refer to God with a lower case g
(To me)You are talking about the god of this world not my God.
I will pray the Ephesians prayer for you that the eyes of your understanding be enlightened

    1. No I actually think that this done by Jewish people? Because correct me if I wrong, the letter “g” wasn’t in the Hebrew language? I read it somewhere on this blog, but can’t remember where.

  10. You are trying to take her words out of context. Shame on you for doing so. There is nothing wrong with anything she said. What the heck to you have against a woman who wants to help people understand how to accept themselves and God? You need to find someone else to tear down if that is your intention! Or maybe better yet….ask God for forgiveness for what you are doing!

    1. Ama,

Regardless who wrote the article above, I agree with it. Joyce Meyer preaching contradicts the Word of God. As a Christian, we must always compare what we hear to God’s Word.

2 Corinthians 11:4 For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.

  11. How did she preach another Jesus though?
Having read all your comments , you haven’t mentioned in any ways how what Joyce Meyer says is in contradiction of the Word of God.
I will pray that you get revelations on the things you actually did not understand.

What if your “preacher” claimed that Jesus was the first born again man. Even though, for that to happen, that would mean that Jesus would have had to have been a sinner – which He was not – and is not.
What if your “preacher” claimed that she was not a sinner. Yet, the Bible tells us that if any one says they are without sin, that person is a liar – they make God a liar and the truth is not in them.
What if your “preacher” taught that we speak things into existence – because God spoke the universe into existence – and we were made in the image of Him -so that would mean that we were “little gods” – and therefore, we, too, can speak things into existence, too.
What if your “preacher” claimed that Jesus ceased being God while He was nailed to the Cross – that He died and was sent to hell – so he could battle satan in hell – to become sin for us. Even though the Bible tells us that on the Cross Jesus finished the sacrifice – that He preached the Gospel to the souls already gone – in hell – so they would have a chance to hear God’s Word. And – that He never not once ‘ceased being God’ at ANY time before the Cross – or after the Cross.
What if your “preacher” claimed that Jesus wants all of us to rich and happy. Yet, the God of the Bible warns us to not seek the riches of this world – to not store up earthly treasures – and tells us – more than once – that it’s easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God. – – And tells us that we can expect persecution – suffering – tribulation – even death – for our faith in Him.
What if your “preacher’ taught that we have “power” in our words – that we can alter our destiny – or finances – just by speaking certain words or phrases. Yet the God of the Bible tells us that HE is the one with the ultimate power – and authority – over us, His creation. – He also tells us to stay away from witchcraft – yet if you do a lit’l research, you will learn of other groups of people who also believe in – and practice – the “power of words” – are witches and other pagan religions – only they refer to their powerful words as ‘chants’ – ‘spells’ – and ‘incantations’.
What if your “preacher” is a female – putting herself up on a platform claiming she’s “preaching” God’s Word – but yet, the God of the Bible says He forbids a woman to preach or hold authority in His church.

If your “preacher” was teaching – and believing – these things – would you still praise them – would you empty out your purses and wallets to them – even though these things fly directly in the face of the God of the Bible? If they had “taught” these things – would you still “idolize” them?
    Is your “preacher” Joyce Meyer?

    1. The spirtual gift of preaching is not limited to males. No where in the bible does it say only men can preach. Preaching is a spiritual gift, not a position. Scripture specifies the elders in the church are to be males, maried to one woman, amd children who are obedient. This same list is often applied to a preacher by people today, but is false. We often hold up a preacher as a leader, but the bible describes a preacher as one in the body of Christ who has a gift. That preacher is equal to the rest and not ever above the others. Also the elders are not above, but simply elder in thier walk with Christ. Throw off man’s traditions!

Also the other things you claim Joyce says are twisted. I know all make mistakes, but she has never said one thing you have listed. She has said she is not a sinner because she is a Believer who sins. She says this many times. We as belivers are no longer catagorized as sinners. We do sin, but our identity is now in Christ instead of in our sin. Again she is not perfect and may have said some false things, but after listening to her for years now and comparing her words to God’s Word (in context) I know her heart is right. I believe she will be convicted by the Holy Spirit of any wrong doing.

  13. Understand that Ms. Meyer is not a “preacher” – at least not in the eyes of the God of the Bible. He forbids women to preach – He says it is due to Eve’s transgression in the Garden. Open the Bible and look it up.
And before you defend her – ask yourself why you are defending someone who intentionally teaches things that not only aren’t in the Bible – but teaches the opposite of what God says in His Word.
I know – I know – you “like” her because she tells funny jokes that crack you up. – You “like” her because she makes you “feel” good. – – You “like” her because she promises you that “god” will bless you financially – if you will just give her ministry money.
If you would read (actually read) God’s Word, you would be able to discern this woman’s teaching to be false doctrine. You would be able to understand that God warns us over and over in His Word to not seek riches of this world – to not store up earthly treasures. He also tells us – more than once – in His Word that it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
The God of the Bible says that we can expect pain – tribulation – suffering – persecution and even death — for our faith and belief in Him and His Word. Does that sound like the “god” that Ms. Meyer is teaching you? Of course it doesn’t – because it isn’t the same one.
Is Ms. Meyer teaching false doctrine? Absolutely she is. She adds to – and takes from – God’s Word. And God knew mankind – and womankind – would do this – so He added an extra warning on the last page of His Word that tells us if we add to – or take from – His Written Word, then He will take our part out of the Book of Life. Yep, that’s just how serious He is about humans messing with and altering what He was written.
Joyce Meyer has claimed that she is not a sinner. Yet, the God of the Bible says if any one says they are without sin, that person is a liar – they make God a liar – and the truth is not in them.
Joyce Meyer has claimed that Jesus was the first born again man. For that to be true, that would mean Ms. Meyer is calling Jesus a sinner. Because the only ones who need being born again are sinners – which is us. Jesus was and is perfect – and sinless – the Bible tells us that.
Joyce Meyer claims that we can speak into existence “stuff” and even alter our own destiny – and wallet. Yet, the God of the Bible tells us to stay away from witchcraft. The only people – aside from these ‘feel good/prosperity peddlers” – who believe in and practice the “power of words” are witches and other pagan religions. Except they don’t refer to them as “powerful words” – they call them “spells” – “chants” – and “incantations”.
Joyce Meyer’s teachings align with the “law of attraction” – which is ‘positive attracts positive – negative attracts negative” – that is an old new age theology that is not of – nor from – the God of the Bible.
Do you honestly believe that the God of the Bible is going to “bless” this woman – or if He is true to His Word and is going to bring swift destruction upon her for her false teachings against His Written Word.
Choose this day whom you will serve, my friend. It’s either the God of the Bible – or the “god” of this world – which the Bible tells us is satan. God tells us we cannot serve both.
God warns us not to teach His Word for “filthy lucre” (profit/riches). Do you honestly believe that God is going to give Ms. Meyer some sort of exemption because she has a television show? Or because she is filthy rich?
And before you feel that I’m attacking Ms. Meyer personally – understand that she is not the Lone Ranger in regards to teaching false doctrine – the list is long and gets longer every day with hirelings who have apparently chosen to serve the “god” of this world rather than the God of the Bible.
i.e. Joel Osteen, T.D. Jakes, Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, Paula White, Mike Murdoch, Steve Furtick, Joseph Prince, Andy Stanley, the Crouches, Leroy Thompson, Creflo Dollar, etc and etc.
In closing, I pray that Ms. Meyer will repent – and turn back to the God of the Bible – but – satan knows how money affects some of us – and he knows full well that most that begin accumulating massive amounts of it only become greedier and greedier – and set out to make more – and more – and more.
THAT is exactly why God warns us as much as He does about the dangers of seeking riches of this world. Because He knows that some of us will trade our very soul for those coveted worldly riches.

  14. “Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭12:12-14‬ ‭NIV‬‬ *** no one is more important in the Body of Christ. God uses us all.

You probably think this means women canot speak at all: “Women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.
*** but it was a rebuke to the Corinthian Church due to their chaos. The Holy Spirit was not leading them, but their emotions and a lot of other pagan ways as Paul points out in other chapters.

Key in on this, Paul addresses the WHOLE Church and not just men. He does this at the beginning of many letters as well as in the middle of the letters.
Therefore, my brothers and sisters, be eager to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues. But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way.”
    ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭14:34-35, 39-40‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:18‬ ‭NIV‬‬ *** God uses both men and women in spreading the Gosple of Jesus Christ. We are all servants as Jesus Himself was the perfect example of a servant. A preacher is a servant, not a leader.

1 Timothy 3 describes elders as he. Later it specificly describes women and how they should act. So we know the elders were specifically men. This is how you read scripture in context.

So now show mw scripture that says a preacher (of God’s Word) must be male. There is no such scripture. It is a man made doctrine. So are you a false teacer? No, you are simple arrogant and misinformed. You falsely accuse other belivers due to a few mistakes or a misunderstanding on your part. You are still a beliver, just like Joyce is, with sin. We are all this way to a degree. The point is no one had it all figured out. We all need to drop the arrogance and yet correct when we see a falsehood. There is balance in humility.

  15. Ivar and Gloria,

Is it possible Joyce Meyer has misread scripture or that God has yet to convict her of a sin? I believe she is a believer as you and I are, yet with faults striving to seek the truth. None of us is always right, and still seeking truth. We learn along the way. We need to accept corrction of course. But i think calling her a false teacer is not accurate. She just might need more leading from the Holy Spirit to correct her current false beliefs. Does that make sense? As you have pointed out the words used by the KJV may have led Joyce astray, so we need to simply pray for her to be receptive to the truth. And she can be wrong about the idea of Jesus going to hell, and still be a Christian. Being a believer is based on her acceptance of Jesus as her Lord and Savior, not on this specific doctrine. So she can be wrong on this one thing (or several things) and still be a believer and preach an accurate Gospel. I once believed a church should have no music, but that was a man made doctrine. And i eventally found that it has nothing to do with my salvation. See?

    1. Dear Tifany.

      Shalom, and love in Jesus.

I have not watched Joyce Meyer for some time. But I hope she will find mercy and grace with Jesus the Messiah, and be found inside the Kingdom of Heaven. May Jesus have mercy on my soul too.

The last time I saw Meyer on TV, she had had breast cancer. Not inline with the prosperity gospel, of always being sucessful, and speaking healing into reality.

Like Wendy Alex, on God TV, not able to save her marriage through endless proclamations. A wake up call for all who belive we have the power to change the free will of man, an authority not even God seems to be willing to revoke and overrule.

My concern with the Word of Faith preachers, is that their proclamations are worthless, if they dont base their faith on Jesus. He, God eternal, always knows best. I do not have much faith in my own faith, but my faith in Him is rock solid.

One of the errors within the Word of Faith movement, is they belive Jesus will do the same things always. Like somethings should come automatic. They tell us God has to do this, if we summon Him. If we have enought faith.

They use the word, “He is the same yesterday, today and forever”, to proclaim and demand action and divine intervation. But surely Jesus do different things today, than what He has already done. Still being the same.

Jesus is about to return to Earth and bring judgment. He will expose the true motives of all who use or misuse His name. Inline with what is written in Matthew 7:21-23. Not all who say “Lord, Lord”, shall enter the kingdom of Heaven. Or in Matthew 25:31 onwards, where a lot of self-righteous people are told to depart in to the eternal flames of Hell.

Let us continue to request Jesus, politely ask for His intervention. Trust me. He is great, and care for His children. Let us not demand anything, nor try to instruct God. May Jesus have mercy on the soul of Joyce Mercy, and on my soul too.

      1. Thank you so much for replying! I have read some on the definition of “Word of Faith” and after listening to Meyer for years, she does not fit that system. However, I will remail vigilant of her possible falicies.

I have never hewrd Meyer claim faith to heal everytime or faith in monitary prosparity. She has always preached love, forgivenss of sin though faith in Jesus Christ, rejection of allowing our emotions ot dictate our behavior, giving others the grace Jesus gave us, and so on. She is one to tell an emotional woman to quit whining! 🙂 She does speak of “positive thinking and speech”, but clarifies it must be directly out of scripture and not “name it claim it” garbage. She promotes speaking about God’s love for us, His desire for our health, His amaxing forgiveness and so on. She has repetedly spoke of her past anger issues and her blaming everything on her dad and mom, and realizing that is no excuse for her behavior. All good things many preachers are afraid to speak on.

Anyway, thanks again for your response. Love in Christ, Tifani

      2. Dear Tifany.

        Shalom, and love in Jesus.

Remember, that my articles was written i 2012. A lot of things might have happend in the life of Joyce Meyer since than. And I do not watch

The focus of my warning is about Word of Faith doctrines, the idea that a proclamation will eventually work if you repeat it enough times. That is a gospel of works, where we put our own desires in the center of our existence. It is not a gospel at all.

Please do not misundertand. Yes, is it right to say that Jesus is comming back. Eventually He will do. But if we proclaim that Jesus is comimg back next week, we will most likely end up being disappointed. And a lot of people will laught at us, and redicule what they have been told is true Christianity.

If we proclaim that “I am healed”, when we basically are sick. We need to take a reality check. To tell Jesus, “Please heal me”, is Biblical. When we are restored, give Him thanks.

  16. I remember when Copeland was thot to be a righteous preacher. and then when he started telling us the Yeshua Jesus went into hell from the cross, I did not believe that. I thot of the thief on the cross looked at Jesus and said “Remember me in your Kingdom. his way of saying he believed Jesus. and then Jesus looked at him and said: TODAY you will be with me in Paradise…. my point is, either HE went back to Heaven or into hell. well, for me I believe HIM…. HE did not go to hell. but I also was listening to Joyce on a youtube, says about the Romans 9 , ten and eliven chapters. She said, oh He blinded the Jews to who HE was so we would have the power to become sons of G-d, only then she said, God, with a little g .. so all of a suden we are little gods with a little g… I see apostasy growing leapos and bounds.. it is the same with the “do not judge me crowd. but Timothy said: if someone is preaching another gospel, different than this one, , to tell them three times showing the scripture. and if they do not believe it, FROM such turn away. I also remember the movie that came out, it was all about Mary, … so sad. and as far as when our L-rd is coming, He said, when Israel becomes a nation, we are the generation that will see HIM. we are in the seventh yr and a jubilee year. so we know soon but do not know the day or hour. There is so many things being fulfilled these days, one can hardly keep up with the daily news. we are told to pray without ceasing and stay in the Word and the HOLY Spirit will lead us into all truth. Love Israel , love the chosen people, pray and support them, Gen 12:3 and all thru the bible.. Thank HIM , praise HIM , HE is our Righteousness, and remember, unrepentant sin is unforgiven sin, HE is faith ful to us and will forgive us if we ask. Bless HIM, praise HIM and rejoice as HE IS COMING SOON…I feel sad when I see the churches falling away from Truth.. they take things out of context and have pretext, not the truth. WE need to really realize that HE IS THE WORD.. AND TOLD US TO ASK THE HS SPIRT TO LEAD US INTO ALL TURTH, AND He will . HE told us HE would be back in two days, a year is like a day to the Lr-d. 2ooo yrs is here. HE IS COMING. G-d bless all of you.

    1. Dear Joan

      Shalom and love in Jesus.

Thanks for this comment. Kenneth Copeland must no be anyones bible teacher. To claim that Jesus was sent to hell is utter blaspehemy, a message from the deepests pits of the abyss.
