Obama flip-flop on “god-given” and capital of Israel

After omitting any reference to “god”, the US Democrat party convention made a spectacular u-turn.

Barack Hussein Obama and Bill Clinton has reduced American politics to some kind of puppet Hollywood show, and a mockery of democracy.

A rare unscripted moment at the Democratic National Convention here Wednesday resulted in an embarrassing moment for the party that is certain to be used in Republican television ads over the next two months.

After they took heat for omitting any reference to “God” in their platform, and for eliminating language from the 2008 platform that identified Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, Democrats tried to add the language back into their party platform with a voice vote.

A source informed on the deliberations told The Huffington Post that President Obama personally intervened to strengthen the language. Speaking with HuffPost, a senior Obama administration official also confirmed the president’s involvement.

But when Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, the convention chairman, came to the podium to ask for the approval of the delegates, those who shouted opposition to the language change were as loud, if not louder, than those who voiced their support.

Villaraigosa, in what quickly became an awkward moment, asked for the voice vote three times in all. After the second time, he paused for several seconds and looked behind him for guidance from a convention staffer — possibly a parliamentarian — before turning back and asking for a third vote.

Even though the no’s were again as loud if not louder than the aye’s on the third vote, Villaraigosa said he had determined that two thirds of those present had voted in favor. Boos filled the arena in response.

Within minutes, Republican National Committee staffers had uploaded the video to YouTube and were circulating it on Twitter.

The Democratic party platform’s section on Israel, which broke with previous years’ precedent by removing the explicit reference to Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, had sparked furious outcries among Republicans and the pro-Israel crowd.

Sources told The Huffington Post on Tuesday that the response took party officials by surprise, since the language of the platform had been carefully orchestrated to emphasize America’s close ties to Israel and to avoid wading into controversial “final-status” issues, like the designation of Israel’s capital.

My comment:

This was a free gift to Republican nominee Mitt Romney, food for TV commercials who can encounter the secular governance of Obama.

One day the Democrats deletes “god” from their platform. The very next day, they voted him back into their official agenda.

 Galatians 6:7
Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.

The so-called “vote” must have sent shivers down the spine of many Americans.

In stead of arranging for a democratic vote count, the man in charge decided the outcome of the vote by his personal judgment of which camp who was screaming the loudest. Just like judging who has most supporters placed at a base ball party up town.

The delegates were at best reduced to puppets in a low rated b-movie in Hollywood.

Is this the team, you want to govern America?

The whole “show” reminded me about how Benito Mussolini ruled the Fascist party from 1922 onwards.

He decided what would be best for his people. He addressed them from his balcony in Rome. When he “asked them”, the crowed always hailed his views.

Shame, shame, shame on Obama and his men.

I wounder what pastor Rick Warren feels about the man he blessed into the White House?

They must all repent, or they will perish.

  1. The way the “voting” was carried out reminded me of the way the marxist trade union block vote used to work here. They would debate a resolution, then have “a show of hands”. People would look shiftily around at each other, then generally vote as they were expected to, to suit the union baron power brokers, motion carried, joib done….. M Thatcher made that type of peer pressure illegal and introduced secret ballots in trade unions

  2. It would appear to be a cynical con trick. Create shock and panic with their impudent pronouncements, to elicit a response Oh Lord, the democrats are denying God!! Who can we possibly vote for now??….then a few hors later, panic over-Oh its OK, must be a mix up, bad communication, they didnt REALLY mean it, its still good to vote for them then…..they DO listen to godly wisdom after all…..
As for R Warren, I expect he is affronted and shocked that people attacked Mr President. But not that bothered that “god” had been written out of things. When I see churches here in England infected with that saddle bag alpha, common purpose, seeker sensitive, user friendly, social club feel good virus, I feel a kind of physical nausea…..the anodyne, emasculated nancy boy character of that apostate theology makes me “kinda mad” No blood, no fire, no Glory, no Jesus. Its like they end up with a masonic lodge for families, not just men…..

  3. The true Bible-believing Church is rapidly shrinking in America. The strong presence of the Church in America has given the country blessing after blessing—in the past. As the Church is disappearing, so are those blessings. I suspect that the African-American wing of the Democratic Party has pressured President Obama to reinstate God. Faith is still a very important consideration in African-American communities. African-American Christians understand that abortion has killed far more of their infants proportionally than it has whites babies. In addition, because of higher levels of poverty, they have far less ability to protect their children from pedophiles and they know that rampant pedophilia is just another facet of the embrace of homosexuality.

  4. Mark 4:18 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,
Mark 4:19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.

    1. Notice that no one speaks about Jesus. It is more politically correct to say god. god can be okay for many faiths. But Jesus Christ is a no no to speak. His name is only associated with Christianity. They all forget or don’t know that you can not come to God except only through his son Jesus. All authority has been given to Jesus

      1. Todd….Oh yeah….Amen that is so right….

You can say….”God, Father, Holy Spirit, Holy Ghost, Jehovah, Christ, Lord, you can even use ‘all’ the Names ‘of Jesus that other Languages have.. but when you ‘use the Name of JESUS….that’s the problem….:)
J-E-S-U-S Jesus and to those that that Name is precious all the other Names are ‘alive’ and awesome!
