Southern Baptist Churches in decline in the US

Membership in the Southern Baptist Convention dropped again over the last year, according to a new report.

Branding Obama as a Christian, Rick Warren stands as a symbol of the carnal and corrupt “Church” of America.

The largest Protestant denomination in the country now counts less than 16 million members.

This marks the fifth straight year the SBC has lost members. Primary worship attendance has also dropped by 0.65 percent to around 6.16 million.

One Southern Baptist and researcher lamented that the denomination is not only experiencing decline but an acceleration of decline.
Compared to a 0.15 percent drop from 2009 to 2010, membership fell by 0.98 percent from 2010 to 2011.

My comment:

The compromising, lukewarm and carnal “Church” is of no use for the Kingdom of Heaven.

Les than 0,5 per cent for the Americans are now members of what used to be the largest Church in North America. Their grown was based on blessings from Heaven, excluding Roman Catholicism from the Christian family.

When the Pastors in the pulpit starts to embrace Roman Catholics like Joe Biden or Rick Santorum, its a sign that the Holy Spirit has departed from such evil assemblies.

Many Southern Baptists have also lost their way in regards to Israel and the Jewish people. Southern Baptist Rick Warren even traveled to Syria to praise dictator Basher al-Assad in 2006, an extremely wicked thing to do.

Rick Warren and Saddleback Church is also a members of World Council of Churches (WCC), an antisemitic organization of religious people who side with Islam in the “Holy war” against Israel.

Jesus the Messiah speaks about the corrupt, wealthy and snooty “church” of America.

 Revelation 3:16-18
So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.

  1. Ivar, Ant …I saw so many ‘Baptist Pastors, Deacons’ praise Rick Warren, their ladies groups set up ‘Special Book Shelves’ to fill it with the Prosperity Pastors, along with some John Wayne a ‘true believer of God’ to see how he led his life a way others can follow…also the Churches of Christ, Methodists equally laid out Special places for the Rick Warren’s way of simple Christianity, Pentecostal Churches, form Church’s of God, Assembly of God to Holiness Churches also following the ‘path of Warren & Prosperity Healing Teachers as well. It made my heart sick with fear for them as well as praying for them to no end..I learned they all know how to extend ”The Left Foot-of-Fellowship” and smile as you go out the Door…to ‘serve what they call ”Another Gospel”…it was and still is sad ! Even now, a specific Church of God Ladies Group consider fellow-shipping talking of worldly things…while their husbands study prophets out of ‘another book’ (don’t need the Bible because the Book has Scriptures ‘from’ the Bible..) and they wonder why I am not interested in continuing…sad sad sad..So where do you go?? Where do you go?? Sad indeed!

    1. Hello Andrea, my dear friend.

I hope you are well and wanted to tell you that you have been in my prayers. Thank you for praying for me as well as these “last days” have been brutal — and this is an understatement.

I agree with your post and think there comes a time when the Lord calls you out of the brick and mortar churches and into His true church — which could be sitting in your car at 5 a.m. on the side of a dirt road somewhere. When I visit a church (rarely) I always make sure I sit in the back row by the exit door so I can make a mad dash out if I detect even one word that strays from the truth.

Have a good day and love in Yeshua! 🙂

      1. Brother, AMEN indeed Amen! and the ‘on the side of the road at
5 am is the same as in so much pain all you think about is ‘who else can I pray for’ or ‘a Thank you Sir (LORD) till you pass out..:) So yes thank you too Brother for your prayers, I certainly covet the prayers of the Saints! (smile) one thing I often think of lately is (haha) judging on myself that is..Lord if I’m an example of your faithful hahahha Sir you have one hilarious motley crew…(the Body of Christ) will laugh ourselves silly at the devil…so I’ll stop here and just say ”Thank you, Brother” (smile)

  2. by no means think the Presbyterians were left out of the ‘left-foot of fellowship (such love shown when you don’t agree with Rick Warren and the Prosperity Followers )…(smile) (Catholics also (smile) they don’t really care as long as you’ll say ahhh and ooo over their dead bodies they project for all to bow to !!

    1. Amen…sad but true…It’s very sad indeed!…some are so cold and dead you walk in there and some smell embalming fluid…eeek!! I do an about-face quickly!

  3. I agree the last two churches i became a part of i left in discust. They preachd the truth but they didnt follow it. One pastor even embedded $40000. I know we need church to worship together but its more harm when the people lead you astray. Im praying we find a Jesus living humble church again soon

  4. I was on a church development leadership team. But Warren, Willow Creek church and such kept coming up as models so much that I’ve left the team. I told them that I don’t want to be a part of building a church like these guys.

    1. You know a dear brother in Christ showed me a many years ago…Hold up your Bible closed…look at the ridges raised in one or more areas..that’s what you have eaten of His Word and that’s what is in you..the rest that is smooth (smile) is ‘not in you’ …I repented deeply very sorrowful and started spending more time ‘IN His Word’ and less time in ‘the books of others’ that was supposed to send me to ‘His Word’ when in truth they were keeping me out of His Word and lifting up the authors of their own books…

  5. I was an AG pastor, but have left the church to do Organic church, like the first Christians. Read up on Frank Viola, Jon Zens, Wolfgang Simson, Tony and Felicity Dale among others

    1. What is an Organic Church? that’s not listed in The Scriptures..I could be wrong but I think, “The Church” is not what we see today, in fact the decrease is astronomical..I’m amazed at how laxed the Church’s really are on dress, all manner of codes, and to show my age, this ‘Gum-smacking-bubble-cracking-sloshing’ from all ages of adults is Crazy…I asked a Grocery Clerk the other day, “Are you trying to stop smoking?” she said No…I said Oh wow…I thought maybe that was the reason for the opened mouth chewing and smacking gum at work! ..her reply was not defensive but rather Oh on I don’t smoke, I just like to chew gum.. (God help us!!)

      1. “Organic” is sued to differentiate itself from the institutional non-Biblical church we see today. Every church planted by Paul was in a home, and small. Collosus has maybe 2,000 people in the town, and the church most likely had 4 people, (At a woman’s house no less!) You will not find a pastor giving a sermon and people siting passively in the bible at all. Read Pagan Christianity for a timeline of when that was invented. (Hint..Luther gave that to us..instead of the altar being the an focus, the pastor became the main focus)..yet we are all priests and none is higher than another.

  6. As the USA becomes a more secular and plural society, all evangelical religions will find themselves increasingly pushed to the margins. It is the individual’s personal right to interpret biblical scripture as conservatively as they wish……just don’t be puzzled when others walk away. At one time the Southern Baptist churches led the charge for slavery and later for segregation….somehow, the church “found it’s way” and reflected the values of the greater US populace. Many Americans impression of the SBC is one of condemnation, exclusion, and combative politics. A substantial number of growing American churches are focused on justice for all (individuals and corporations), environmental stewardship, inclusion, community service, and protecting our communities’ most vulnerable members (even those in need who’s values differ from their own). These are not left-leaning, radical concepts….but ones that Christ applied daily.
