Recognition of Armenian genocide comes alongside Turkish lawsuit against senior Israeli officials involved in IDF raid on Mavi Marmara.
On the eve of the publication of the State Comptroller’s report regarding the 2009 raid on an aid flotilla bound for the Gaza Strip, the Knesset is expected to hold a public discussion about the genocide of the Armenian people, at the request of MK Zahava Gal-On (Meretz).
Knesset chairperson Reuven Rivlin decided to permit the debate for Tuesday. The decision follows the Turkish decision to try senior Israeli officials in court for their involvement in the IDF raid on the Gaza-bound ship the Mavi Marmara – the debate will be held just one day before the publication of the State Comptroller’s report on the affair on Wednesday.
The Knesset will mark the anniversary of the genocide with its first discussion of the matter on Tuesday, and a second public discussion will be planned, to be held by one of the Knesset committees.
Throughout the years, the government and the Knesset have refrained from discussing the subject in fear of harming relations between Israel and Turkey.
Over the last three years, determination has developed to discuss the murder of roughly one and a half million Armenians by Turkey 97 years ago, mostly because of the deteriorating relations between Israel and Turkey.
If present day Israel had for whatever reasons been re-birthed in 1916 inside today’s Turkey, the holocaust would have taken place from Istanbul to Ankara. Not in Nazi-Germany.
Based on the deceptive totalitarian religion of Islam, The Ottoman Turks would not only have destroyed the local version of Christianity.
They would also have crippled and terminated the Jewish people.
In today’s Turkey, only 0,2 per cent of the population are Christians.
This is not because the Turks left Christianity by conviction, but because almost every Christian were massacred by Koran-obeying fellow citizens. Between one million and 1,5 million martyrs died because of their faith in Jesus as God and Lord.
This is the true fruits of Islam.
Today, Europe is inviting Islam to settle in the Post-Christian continent. Totally forgotten and ignored even by priest and pastors, are the horrible crimes the Islamic World committed towards their brethren hardly 97 years ago.
The Muslims in Turkey have even been invited to join the European Union, by some misguided leaders, who are completely disconnected from the truth. Even so-called “Christian” leaders hail Turkey’s proposed application for EU membership.
We must give Thanks to Israel, a Jewish nation, who honor the Christian martyrs of Turkish crimes against humanity.
Shame on the leaders in Europe who rather helps Islam to cover up for its crimes.
