Capitol Hill gives Israel fresh military support

The U.S. House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed bipartisan legislation that reaffirms and enhances U.S. policy commitments to Israel’s security.

House Majority Leader Rep. Eric Cantor is a strong supporter of Israel, the frontier in the battle to keep Islam at bay.

.The United States-Israel Enhanced Security Cooperation Act of 2012, which was sponsored by House Majority Leader Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.) and House Minority Whip Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-Md.), passed Wednesday by a vote of 411-2. The legislation garnered bipartisan support from 294 co-sponsors prior to passage.

Some provisions appear aimed at assisting Israel particularly in any possible confrontation with Iran. The legislation recommends that the United States provide Israel with “air refueling tankers, missile defense capabilities, and specialized munitions.” Israel has sought an air-refueling capacity as a means to cover the distance to Iran in the case of a strike. “Specialized munitions” could include bunker-busting bombs that could reach redoubts where Iran is suspected of building a nuclear weapon capability.

My comment:

The US House of Representatives support for Israel is amazing. Despite the the White House hostility towards Jerusalem, a 411-2 vote is a huge shoot in the arm for Benjamin Netanyahu.

Israel will never get a better window to strike the nuclear facilities of Iran. It looks like this is now or never.

 Isaiah 2:3
Many peoples will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths.” The law will go out from Zion, the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

With a new National unity government in place in Israel, a sudden Israeli military strike seems to be in the pipeline. May Jesus give the Israeli leadership the strength and courage to protect the Jewish people and save the whole World from the horror of a nuclear armed Ayatollah.

    1. Nothing fishy Andrea. Cantor is Jewish and a strong advocate for Israel. He has pledged his allegience to Israel. He gave his allegience to Netanyahu when he became majority leader. I have a concern when an american politician whose allegience is to be to america first gives his allegience to another country

      1. Todd, I still say there is something fishy about this…amazing for years America has been telling Israel ‘not to fight’, ‘not to do this or that’…yet now you hear, Israel is getting ready to ‘attack’ Iran, Israel is going to attack Iran any day, Israel is now being supported by America??? Hmmm ’tis sumfin fishy in the hen-house’ (smile). Something might fishy…also It takes more than ‘one or two or a few’ Jewish Senators, Congressmens, Leaders etc or “Dog catcher to make everyone one the USA Government to support Israel! At least that is more likely the ‘1+1=2 but what is being put out is 1+4=2…(smile)

    Greetings and peace
I have told you often that the house of representatives and for that matter, the senate as well will overwelmingly support Israel. Eric Cantor himself is Jewish. He and numerous other Jewish House representatives and Senate members, who are Jewish Schumer,Lieberman, Fienstein among others who have strong influence and money backing will support Israel’s efforts. Do not be worried. I do not know how much support americans themselves give, but I do believe that support for Israel to attack Iran is significant amount. I personally do not want us to get engaged in another war. just because we are spent now and are losses are great in the war on terror. I guess I’m okay in giving support for air refueling and munitions but that would be the extent of my support. I say let Israel do most of it. Let those young Jewish boy’s fight for their regime leaders. They are the ones that are making the decision for them to go. I believe that if we got engaged in a war with Iran the sentiment here in america would change to negative support quickly.
