Rick Warren claims Islam-critics are “non Christians”

Saddleback Church warns about people who say “hateful things about Muslims”.

Rick Warren atatck all Charistians who wants to tell Muslims the truth about Islam.
Rick Warren attack Christians who tell Muslims the truth about Islam.

This explanation from Rick Warren on his own site is worth some reflections:

QUESTION: Why do you think people who call themselves Christians sometimes say the most hateful things about Muslims?

WARREN: Well, some of those folks probably aren’t really Christians. 1 John 4:20 says, “If anyone says, ‘I love God,’ yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen.” And 1 John 2:9 says “Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates his brother is still in the darkness.”  I am not allowed by Jesus to hate anyone.  Our culture has accepted two huge lies: The first is that if you disagree with someone’s lifestyle, you must fear them or hate them. The second is that to love someone means you agree with everything they believe or do. Both are nonsense. You don’t have to compromise convictions to be compassionate.

My comment:

You can not love a Muslim without telling Him the truth about Islam.

Even if you give him the best of dinners, you have not loved Him for a second.

Those who love Muslims will tell them that Muhammad is a false prophet. If you do this in Saudi Arabia, your head will be chopped off.

But Rick Warren do not have to act like he lives in Saudi Arabia. He lives in California, and is suppose to live in a society with freedom of expression. He can even write in a newspaper that Muhammad is a false prophet. You will never see Warren do that.

The problem is that the Dhime-attitude is spreading in America too. Rick Warren known that the first Sharia Law demands the death of those who “defame” the “Holy prophet”

So you have to chose to live in submission, or to tell people the truth.

While Rick Warren wine and dine with His Muslim Friends, hundreds of thousands of Christians are crippled or slaughtered by Muslims every year.

Am I an evil man, a “non Christian” by writing this?

Rick Warren needs to read articles about the massive killing of Christians in the Muslim World. Please tell him to read this link:

Better to tell the truth and honor the martyrs than to listen to the corrupt and complacent talk of Rick Warren.

 John 10:7-8
Therefore Jesus said again, “Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. All who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not listened to them.  I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved

Muhammad who came 600 years after Jesus is also a thief and a robber.

Man can only be saved by Jesus alone, saved by mercy alone, separated from works. Amen.

  1. Our Lord Jesus tells us in prophecy that this would happen.

For nation will rise up against nation and brother against brother.

Is Islam a false religion? No, it is just that a ‘religion’.

People follow laws and statutes in belief that they do right for God who they call Allah.

    That is religion.

Catholicism is a true religion, in the sense that they follow traditions that they have created, in the belief that it is right in the eyes of God.

So, we have identified two religions that are false.

Mr Warren is a religious leader, he wants peace.

    Jesus said

    Matthew 10
34 “Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword.

It is to be expected that as time progresses we will see more and more attempts to unite the worlds religious bodies into one. It would appear that the pope, through what is revealed on this blog, has assumed the position of supreme global religious leader, and he kisses vials of human blood.

God did tell us in His Word

    Revelation 18
23 The light of a lamp shall not shine in you anymore, and the voice of bridegroom and bride shall not be heard in you anymore. For your merchants were the great men of the earth, for by your sorcery all the nations were deceived.

Far from being outraged at this news, we should rejoice in the knowledge that whilst Mr Warren falls into deception, this is the fulfillment of prophecy and that it is time to ‘repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand’.

  2. I think both sides should stop the book burning.
One book – sacred or not, does not equal one life.

Jesus never said that loving your enemy is gonna be easy.
If we would be as sheep, our country would not be free for long.

Wise as serpents? Oh, Lord! We try, and fail miserably because
all can see our fangs and motives just the same. Lord, help us!

Still searching for peace of mind, I am. Uncle Tree

  3. Nowhere in the New Testament are we told to persecute or take the life of unbelievers (too bad the RCC didn’t stay closer to the New Testament in their past). Not so Islam. The Quran tells them to persecute and subjugate us. Muslims have persecuted and slaughtered Christians from the days of Mohammed. If they adhere strictly to the Quran, Muslims do indeed declare themselves to be our enemies. But our response should be to love them (our Lord Jesus commands it). We should love them enough to tell them the truth–even if it means that they will kill us. It behooves us to keep on telling the Muslims the truth in order to honor the Christian martyrs.

  4. Muslims are not my brothers, but I don’t hate them. I pray for the salvation of every muslim. Jesus died for every one of them.

    1. Dear Bo.

I have conducted the marriage for a born Muslim as His pastor. I told him that Muhammad was a false prophet, still he wanted me to conduct his marriage. To marry a Christian woman He had to give an oat to let Jesus of the Bible be His head. No corrupt use of “Esa or Isa”.

To claim that I hate him by telling him the truth about Islam is absurd. I love Muslims, but I hate Islam. In the similar way that Jesus hate sins, but love all sinners.

If you can not love Muslims enough to tell Muslims the truth, you do not love them at all.

    1. Dear Sue

Rick Warren is calculating his words. He says “Jesus is our God, not allah”. What Rick Warren will not say is that Jesus is our God, and “allah” is no God at all.

If Warren say this in public, he will not only loose millions of dollars that flows into his PEACE movement. He will also face persecution and might even be martyred for telling the truth.

      1. to follow Rick Warren is worse than drinking Rat Poison…both will kill you…but Rick Warrens way will take you to Hell if you don’t repent before it is too late to flee from Rick Warrens beliefs…and flee from any and all who support Rick Warren…We are told that if anyone…”ANYONE” who comes to us with another gosple in Galatians 1:6-9 ..says it 3 times…to take heed…

Galatians 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

Galatians 1:7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

Galatians 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

Galatians 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

Galatians 1:10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

Rick Warren needs to also repent…but he prefers the preeminence ..the ”Lime-light and the High seats of praise before Men not God”…his way is as dangerous as Muslims, Catholics, Mormons, Prosperity Messages and any and all that sway from The Gospel of Jesus Christ of Nazerath, only thru His Blood shed at Calvary will cleanse any from sin and translate from the Kingdom of Darkness into the Kingdom of God’s Dear Son, Jesus Christ. By no other way (only by Jesus) can man be saved, and delivered from the Wrath of God that is to come.

  5. I pray that he repents while it is called today…..I Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem. I pray for G-d’s will to be done on the earth as it is in heaven. I bind the prince of persia and the spirit of islam, and i loose the blood of Jesus against them. When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard……

  6. No one said to hate Muslims, where is Rick Warren getting this nonsence from????? We ccondemn their views, that is not hating. Rick Warren needs to check himself lest he be deceived.

    1. Dear Sandy

What does light and darkness have in common. Paul warns us, not to be yoked with non believers. If we work in interfaith projects with Islam, we will be yoked.

You can not love a Muslim without hating Islam. Jesus hates sin. Jesus hates Islam. Jesus loves all Muslims.

  7. Here is a comment for you Rick Warren: It is peculiar that you brought all of this out after you sold “The Purpose Driven Life” and other books to millions of Christians. So, you are letting our money give you the courage to say that we should be equally yoked to unbelievers. If any man does not believe that Christ is the Son of God…hell is his home…..You are sounding like the anti-christ!

  8. we have all too many evangelists still teaching the ancient laws..old testament wrath and legalism as well as love your brother yada yada yada..remember when someone asked>>>but whio is my brother? thusly the good samaritan story was told.it isn’t everyone who is our brother.when jesus spoke ” brother” he meant “brother” in christ.your non saved friend or neighbor wouldn’t be considered “your brother”.the bible does speak however of loving your enemies and those that come against you and or persecute you.and in one instance (when they persecute you )”in my name” or “for my nakesake “(depending on which bible translation you’re using).brother is almost always used as meaning brother in christina case such as this and muslims,if believing in sharia law or the quran, are NOT my brothers.

  9. Its such a pity that rick warren is giving in to and spreading deception, truly the Lord is at hand and let him that thinketh he stands take heed lest he falls short of Gods grace

  10. (1) Your title is incorrect and misleading
The question he answers above has to do with some “Christians” saying “the most hateful things about Muslims”. He said SOME of those folks NOT all of them. Hateful is defined in the New Oxford American Dictionary as “arousing, deserving of, or filled with hatred”. If people say hateful things about someone particularly those who say them repeatedly – like an EKG, our words show the condition of our heart.

    (2) Did you read the entire questionnaire or just stop at this Q&A? (Or did you contact him (he provides his email address multiple times) and ask for clarification-did he really mean what you’re writing or did he mean something else?) Comments have been made here that are contrary to the statements he made afterwords (and lives by), including the following:
QUESTION: Let’s talk about evangelism. In the past 10 years, Saddleback Church has baptized over 24,000 new believers. No other church comes close to that record. You are likely the most evangelistic church in America. What’s the key?
WARREN: We are willing to do what many other churches are unwilling to do. We are willing to go beyond our comfort zone.

    QUESTION: For instance?
WARREN: Because Jesus commanded us to take the Gospel to everyone, I spend much of my time with groups of people who completely disagree with what I believe. I’m constantly trying to build a bridge of love to nonbelievers, to atheists, to gays, to those I disagree with politically, and to those of other faiths. We don’t wait for these people to come to church; we go to them and share with them on their turf, not ours. Every member is a minister and a missionary. Saddleback was a missional church 30 years before the term became popular. We just called it being “purpose driven.”

QUESTION: “Building a bridge” sounds like compromise to many people.
WARREN: Building a bridge has nothing to do with compromising your beliefs. It’s all about your behavior and your attitude toward them. It’s about genuinely loving people. People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. Before people ask, “Is Jesus credible?” they want to know if you are credible. Before people trust Jesus they must trust you. You cannot win your enemies to Christ, only your friends. It’s part of what Paul calls “the ministry of reconciliation.” It is Christ-like to treat people with dignity and listen to them with respect.

QUESTION: You mentioned legal immigration services. How many languages do Saddleback members speak?
WARREN: At last count, I heard we speak 76 languages in our church family. One of our 10 values, the “A” in our S.A.D.D.L.E.B.A.C.K. strategy, is that we are an ALL-nation congregation. We are a multi-ethnic church. We want our congregation to look like heaven will look – with every age, race, tribe, and economic background represented.

QUESTION: What is the goal of your ministry?
WARREN: To know Christ and make Him known! To live out Jesus’ Great Commandment and Great Commission! In fact, this has been the motto of Saddleback Church since we started it in 1980: “A great commitment to the Great Commandment and the Great Commission will grow a great church.” Everything we do comes out of these two great texts. God’s five eternal purposes for both our lives and the church proceed from these verses. The Purpose Driven Church and The Purpose Driven Life explain this in detail.

QUESTION: Through the PEACE Plan, Saddleback became the first local congregation in 2000 years of Christian history to send its members to literally “every nation” as Jesus commanded.
    WARREN: That’s correct.

QUESTION: How did you accomplish that?
WARREN: By taking Jesus’ command seriously. When Jesus said, “Go to EVERY nation” we asked ourselves as a church family, “Has any local church in 2000 years ever actually done that? If not, why don’t we be the first!” So we set a goal to send our members to every nation of the world to do the five tasks of the P.E.A.C.E. Plan by the end of 2010. Of course I know that the Greek ta ethne refers to people groups or tribes not political nations, but you have to start somewhere! So we decided that we would send our members on mission to all 197 nations in the world. (There are 195 nations in the United Nations. The only two nations not in the United Nations are Taiwan and Serbia.) On November 18, 2010, a Saddleback team went to the last nation, #197, a small island in the Caribbean called, St. Kitts. Now, our goal for the next decade, which we call our Decade of Destiny is to mobilize a network of churches who will commit to planting new churches in the final 3,600 unengaged people groups that still do not have a Christian church.
Considering the above statements…they not only minister to people of the muslim faith, but also to those of many other different faiths, and they do it respectfully/lovingly. Clearly based on the baptism record – they must be doing something right. I only wish more churches/christians followed it.

    (3) Rick Warren (following the first sentence of chapter 1 “It’s not about you.”) has he never kept a single penny of the money made from his book The Purpose Drive Life. Aside from that, he forgoes a church salary, additionally he and his wife reverse-tithe, giving 90% of their income away and keep 10%. I expect you’ll find few people/pastors that do.

    (4) I think his comments are the same pre-books as they are post-books – it’s just in recent years he’s become more well known in part because of them, but also because of who he is. If he were actually a fraud, as big as he is, it’d be near impossible to keep far more people from outing it – not primarily bloggers who’ve never met or talked with him personally.

    1. His statement about his PEACE plan is pretty arrogant, given that no one has been to every nation in the world because not every nation has not been contacted. Your own posting shows his arrogance and misleading comments.

    2. Even though this is an old post by a person named Heather, I just had to address it. First of course, from the Warren quote about “loving your brother”, muslims are not brothers of Christians. So note that he begins with a twisting of Scripture, but he seems to do that a lot.

      To address Heather’s points:

      1) Water baptism doesn’t save anybody. The number of people baptized doesn’t change their eternal state. The catholic cult baptizes more people than Warren could ever see happen, but it is to no avail. The focus is to be on how many believe the true Gospel, not how many are baptized. And since Warren didn’t bring up the Gospel at all, didn’t mention the cross, didn’t mention that Jesus is the only way to heaven, and that all who reject Him go to hell, then this doesn’t tell us anything about any person water baptized by them.

      2) Warren said to the effect, “Before people can trust Jesus, they have to trust you”. But the Bible says nothing about leading people into trusting man. In fact, one of the main themes of Proverbs is that we should never trust man. The main crux of 1 Corinthians chapters 1 through 3 is that the Gospel is preached, and that is what saves by the mode of preaching. Trusting the person doing the speaking, never comes into play. So Warren shows you that he is all about his method, and not about the Bible’s comments on these issues.

      3) Even if he sent people to every nation, what are they going there with? If they are going with the universalistic message which leads Warren to do things like “purpose driven catholics, purpose driven judaism”, then it’s not doing what he is inferring that it is doing. A true sending to every nation would make clear that a person will be in hell without Jesus. He seems hesitant to want to say that, especially considering his attack on Christians who are making it clear.

      4) How much money Warren gives or keeps means nothing. There are people that take vows of poverty and live in the streets, and would refuse to accept even the luxuries that Warren enjoys every day. So that means nothing. The issue is, what is Warren’s doctrine? His doctrine believes that “Mother” Teresa was a Christian, yet, she herself said that there were many ways to heaven, and she was working for salvation.

      5) The words of Warren’s mouth, prove him to be a fraud. Nobody has to have lunch with him to assess the words that he speaks (Acts 17:11). When his beliefs are tested against the Bible, they are found wanting.

  11. Brother means fellow Christians But, Jesus said to love your enemies too. Now if Christians are enemies with the Jews who did not believe then they are enemies with Muslims who do not believe also.

Romans 11:28 As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies on your account;..

Truth is always at odds with error. Rick is wrong to say Muslims are brothers regarding scripture. Similar that they are people made in Gods image like everybody else, deserving of dignity but doesn’t mean Christians should entertain falsehoods.

  12. Rick warren, AGAIN You are twisting peoples words around! I never said i hated muslims! I disagree with their beliefs. I can not even walk with them or invite them into my home until they repent of their racist beliefs. one of them being that the white man is the devil! WHERE does it say that in scripture? I rebuke the muslims in Jesus name. I NEVER SAID HATE! I DISLIKE THEIR RACIST BELIEFS AND THAT MAKES THEM MY ENEMY BUT YET I STILL LOVE THEM AS THE BIBLE COMMANDS
