Hamas and Fatah is about to set final unity government to demand statehood of “Palestine”
Mashaal says Fatah, Hamas “are serious” about ending division between the two rival factions.
Rival Palestinian factions Fatah and Hamas agreed at a meeting in Qatar on Monday to form a unified Palestinian government for the West Bank and Gaza headed by Palestinian Authority President and Fatah chief Mahmoud Abbas.
Abbas would assume the role of prime minister, replacing Western-backed Salam Fayyad, a senior official said. It was not immediately clear if Fayyad would be a member of the new government or when it would be formed. Hamas had voiced strong opposition to Fayyad heading the unity government
At a press conference in Qatar Monday, Hamas political bureau chief Khaled Mashaal said, “We are serious, both Fatah and Hamas, in healing the wounds and ending the chapter of division and reinforcing and accomplishing reconciliation.”

The PLO is short of cash. To avoid going bust, Ramallah has decided to join hands with Hamas. That is a demand from the Quartet, who are tired of paying the bills for Muslims who fight each other.
The political chaos in Syria has become a problem for the Hamas. They also need fresh cash to finance the ongoing Jihad against Israel.
The new unity government will be entitled to monetary support from the US and the EU. The very struggle to destroy the state of Israel has just entered a new season. The season of “cash for peace”.
