To reign as kings means prosperity. To live for Jesus means the rather opposite. To give up all fleshy desires, and follow the King of Kings.
The Word of Faith teachers Kenneth Hagin is one of the main polluter of the so called Charismatic Pentecostal church today. One of his teaching CD´s has this tittle: «Reigning In Life As A King».
The explanation to this CD tells the story:
«Man was created to reign as a king in this life. God never intended that man be a slave to sin, bad habits, sickness, or anything that binds».
The Bible tells the exact opposite of what Kenneth Hagin does:
Jesus told us about His Kingdom, that is not of this World.
John 18:36
Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jews. But now my kingdom is from another place.”
The King who rule on Earth before the King of Kings returns is Satan. The Bible explains that all the Earthly Kingdoms dwell in the Evil One.
1 John 5:19 (New King James Version)
We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.
Jesus also explained that those who wants to be his followers has to give up all kinds of Earthly fleshy desires, and follow Him.
Luke 14:33
In the same way, any of you who does not give up everything he has cannot be my disciple.
You cant do that if you are a disciple of a prosperity teachers in one of the Charismatic Churches. Find your self a Bible teachers who will tell you the truth.
The false teachers of the prosperity gospel often use this verse as their best defense of their doctrines.
1 Corinthians 4:8
Already you have all you want! Already you have become rich! You have become kings—and that without us! How I wish that you really had become kings so that we might be kings with you!
Taken out of context, this verse can take you for a ride. If you do not read verse 9.
1 Corinthians 4:9
For it seems to me that God has put us apostles on display at the end of the procession, like men condemned to die in the arena. We have been made a spectacle to the whole universe, to angels as well as to men.
Paul did surely not want to leave his post as an Apostle, to join the apostate Church in Corinth and live like «a king». Paul was using irony in verse 8. The truth is that Paul him self was beheaded. And not only him. The other apostles, less John, was also killed in the spiritual battlefield.
The message of prosperity and fleshy success in what we do for Jesus on Earth is a dangerous deception, and must be rejected in all churches.
When you preach prosperity in the name of «Jesus», the World will love you. All of flesh wants to prosper. From the US to the land of India. There are many who wants you to follow such a «copy-cat Jesus». But at the end of the road, the true Messiah might have to tell you that He never knew you.
Matthew 7:22-24 (New International Version)
Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
Only when the Messiah comes back, He will reign as the King of Kings on Earth. Behold: The Lion of Judah is coming soon to judge the World.

“The world cannot hate you; but the world hates Me, because I testify that the works of this world are evil.” (John 7:7)” and “The Messiah gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of The Only True God, Our Father.”(Gal 1:4)
The Messiah testified: “If the world hates you know that it hated Me before it hated you.”(John 5:18) Truly, Truly, I say unto you, except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abides alone: but if it die it brings forth much fruit. He that loves his life in this world shall lose it; and he that hates his life in this world shall have it unto life eternal.” (John 12:24-25)
John testified: “Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hates you.” (I John 3:13) “ James testified, “Whoever would be a friend of this world is the enemy of GOD”(James4:4)
The “earth and it’s life forms” are The Creation of The ONE and Only True GOD, Father of ALL! The “worldly” systems are the creation of, and under the dominion of “the god of this world”, he who is “the father of lies”, he who “has blinded the minds of those who believe not The Messiah”! All the nations of this world are under the dominion of, and serve, the “god of this world” for he provides the fuel that feeds mankind’s “imag”ination. Sadly mankind’s “imag”ination is destroying Creation(air, water, land vegetation, creatures) and perverting that which is Spirit(Truth, Light, Life, Faith, Love, Peace,, All that is Truly Good) ;-(
Once again, the “earth and it’s life forms” are The Creation of The Only True GOD, Father of ALL! The current “worldly” systems are the creation of, and under the dominion of “the god of this world”.
Those who “love this world” all serve “the god of this world”, and have their portion in the processes that are progressively destroying The Creation of The Only True GOD. “And The Only True GOD will destroy them who destroy the earth.” (Rev 11:18c)
Global warming, polluted air, land and waters, toxic wastes, sexual perversion, evil inventions of destruction, greed, hate, carnal warfare, dis-ease(no-peace),,etc,, are all destructive processes that have their root in “the lust of the eye, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life” all of which fuel the fires of mankind’s “imag”ination ;-(
Thankfully The Truth Is Alive in those who have been born of The Spirit for “they no longer love this wicked, evil world and it’s things, nor do they love their own lives in this world”. They but seek and desire The Will of GOD, their Father and Creator, as they await their final transformation. “Corruptible to Incorruptible” indeed and Truth! Home, Home at last!
Now “the ground was cursed for Adam’s sake” because he “hearkened unto the woman”.
Adam listened to a woman rather than obeying The Only True GOD. Yet because of Faithful Noah, The Only True GOD “no longer would curse the ground for man’s sake” because Noah obeyed The Only True GOD rather than a woman! (Genesis8:21-22) And the Faithful today are exhorted to “love not the world, neither the things that are in the world.”
Be not of those who deny and defy “The One GOD, Father of All”. Be not of those who are destroying Creation(water, air, land, vegetation, creatures) and perverting that which is Spirit(Truth, Light, Life, Love, Peace, Hope, Mercy, Faith, Wisdom, Grace, Faith, Miralces,.etc.) ;-(
“Set your affections on things above”. Desire Heavenly, eternal things. Be not joined together with those serving ‘time’ in the prison that is this world! Take heed unto The Call of “The Only True GOD” to ”Come Out of her, MY people!”
“Come out” from among those who are destroying Creation and perverting that which is Spirit. Be of those who follow The Messiah on The Way to The Truth of The Life.
“Come out” of the worldly systems, which are but the product of mankind’s “imag”ination, and especially this world’s systems of theo’ry’logical religion.
“Pure religion and undefiled before GOD The Father is this, to visit the fatherless(those who know not their Father[Creator]) and widows(those who have not been joined together as One with The Messiah and Our Father) in their affliction and to keep oneself uncontaminated by the world.” (James1:27)
Simply, all other religion is impure, defiled and of this wicked, evil world.
“Pure religion and undefiled” is declared to be personal(oneself), not corporate.
Faith will not create a system of religion!
Faith is Family, not “religion”, and The Brethren of The Messiah yet seek and desire that which The Messiah sought and desired above all else:
“Father, not my will, But THY Will Be Done”
Peace, in spite of the dis-ease(no-peace) that is of this world and it’s systems of religion, for “the WHOLE world(not just a portion) is under the control of the evil one” indeed and Truth……

I don’t know much about Kenneth Hagin, but I think what this article leaves out are these spiritual truths regarding the kingdom.
Jesus’ kingdom isn’t of this world, (in the physical sense) but when we are born again, we can SEE his kingdom in the spiritual sense. Someday, we will actually ENTER physically into his kingdom, not in the spiritual sense, but in a real physical sense.
These teachings come to mind:
John chapter 3: Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can SEE the kingdom of God unless they are born again”
4 “How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!”
5 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can ENTER the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit[b] gives birth to spirit. 7 You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You[c] must be born again.
Colossians 1:13-14 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
John 15:18-19 ” If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belong to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.
No, I do not belong to this world, and I praise my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for rescuing me from that darkness I was once in bondage to.
Ugh! I just started googling that phrase about reigning as a king in life, since those words sent up a red flag to me of something I’ve never come across in my Bibles I own – KJV, NIV, NAS. Anyways, I came across this web site from Kenneth Haglin where he explains why he is using this phrase, “reign as kings in life.”

Interestingly, I checked all my bibles versions and could not find these verses written this way. However, there is a bible — A false translation, a totally corrupt version by the Jehovah Witnesses: This is where he is getting these verses from!

This fleshly, temporal, earthly life is but a shadow of The Life to Come! And until one realizes that The Messiah did “Come Quickly”, just as He promised, they will yet abide in the darkness while bound in the chains of strong delusion that is but pagan catholic and christian folklore ;-(

I know this question is not about the article but i need your help from ivar or someone about suicide . someone i love has been thinking about it . what does the bible says about suicide.please help . i would look at the same article for the answers thank you and god bless you.

The scripture quoted above was not intended for those contemplating suicide, however, such most certainly bears witness to The Truth of, The Life given you is of GOD, and not of our own doing, so we are HIS….
And suicide is murder! Those who do so believe that death is the answer and life is of their own doing;-(
Only the hopeless would do so…….
Yet while there is breath THERE IS HOPE!
