Pastor rebukes Franklin Graham’s support of Mormons

Franklin Graham must repent for saying Christian vote for a Mormon is acceptable.

Pastor Steven Andrew do not want Mitt Romney as President. But who will be better or worse than him?

These are the words of Pastor Steven Andrew, president of USA Christian Ministries. He is calling out Franklin Graham and telling him to repent after Graham said that it is acceptable for a Christian to vote for a Mormon.

“Graham is misleading Christians to vote against Scripture for Mormon Mitt Romney,” Andrew said in a statement. “God cannot bless us for betraying Jesus and voting for a non-Christian. No one comes to God except through Jesus – this includes the USA.

In a recent interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network, Graham said that Mitt Romney’s Mormon faith “doesn’t bother me at all,” and said voters should elect a president based on the candidates’ qualifications for the job, first and foremost.

In the interview, Graham called the 2012 election “the most critical election of my lifetime” and said, “You can have the nicest guy and he can be a Christian and just wonderful but have absolutely no clue as to how to run a country, you don’t want that.”

He also said that Christians need to pray for leaders in the U.S., and that we need people “who will put God’s standards above everything else and who will take us back to the God of our fathers.”

But Andrew says Mormonism, the common name for the beliefs of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is a cult, and as such a Mormon cannot lead the nation in a godly way.

Mormonism is secretive, recognizes none others and adds to the Bible. We can’t have a president missing a true relationship with God. Do we want God to bless America?” Andrew asked. Andrew is also calling on church leaders like Pat Robertson and Joel Osteen to repent for similar statements.

My comment:

Are Christians called to seek political powers, and try to change the secular World?

If the answer is yes, than “Christianity” is a complete failure. We have basically not been able to go the will of the Father, since the children of Jesus have not been unable to defeat Satanic rulers in their thousands.

But if we take a Heavenly perspective, victory at the end of the age is a hundred percent surety. The Bible says the World is under the yoke of the evil one. But behold: The Kingdom of Heaven is a satanic free zone.

 1 John 5:19
We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one.

Let Satan and his rulers have their cakes and eat them. Let the dead go and bury their own dead, but you go and proclaim the Kingdom of Heaven. Some people will listen to your message.

If we are looking for possible disciples of Jesus who have ruled in the White House, we might find it difficult to find even one.

Harry Truman dropped the nuclear bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Dwight D. Eisenhover made the US develop the Hydrogen bomb, and polluted the atmosphere with nuclear waste beyond the point of reparable.

J.F. Kennedy was a Roman Catholic, who started the Vietnam war.

Lyndon B. Johnson continued the war, that resulted in the killing of more than one million civilians in Vietnam, and 50.000 American soldiers.

Richard Nixon was a hard core criminal, and his vice president General Ford continued their dirty business. Ford pardoned his fallen President On September 8, 1974.

Jimmy Carter became a supporter of the Hamas.

Ronald Reagan accepted the Pope in Rome as a great Christian leader, and sent the first US Ambassador to the Vatican.

George Bush senior was Ronald Reagan’s vice president, and introduced new taxes after saying “Read my lips, no new taxes”.

Bill Clinton had unlawful sex with Monica Lewinsky, and lied on American TV.

George W. Bush attacked Iraq after lying about Iraqi weapons of mass destruction on American TV. He wasted two trillion US dollars on his failed “war on terror”.

Barack Obama has a Muslim father, and try to convince the World that followers of Jesus and followers of Muhammad believes in the same “god”.

How can Mitt Romney become better or worse?

Mormonism is a sect, and have nothing to do with Christianity. But if Christians had been occupied by being the representative of the Kingdom of Heaven, we might be able to reach more people with the gospel.

  1. If we believe in the sovreignty of Almighty God and believe that he is actively involved in the affairs of men, do we not believe that any pesident of the Usa has been placed into office without God almighty having anything to do with it. God says that he is the one who raises up kings and takes them down. We Christians think we have something to do with the outcome. We think that we can change things by voting in a conservative leader and that will make things better. If a society is predominantly Godless then you can expect that rule will be Godless. If a Society is God fearing and God loving and God Honoring then you can expect that rule will be in line with the belief of that society. America needs Jesus. Only he can change people from the inside to think and act rightly. The Idea that man can govern himself rightly without God is a myth.
We want less government rule and we don’t want God either, but without him through the power of spirit of Christ ruling and reigning in us we cannot govern ourself rightly. This will likely be the first time that I do not vote. Sadly I bought into the worlds thinking in the past. I am changing

  2. There are so many sons inheriting their fathers ministries that it
seems like a ‘business’ instead of being called of God in this day
and age. I often wonder about it because when one reads the Bible, this was not the case. There were not so many sons in the Old Testament who followed in the fellowship with God as the fathers did. This doesn’t make it impossible, but even in the New Testament, we don’t see any sons of the Disciples taking a leading
roll. I believe many were saved and followed Christ in their
daily lives. I am speaking here of the calling. This pastor had a right to call Franklin Graham out on this issue. A cult is a cult.

As for voting and being engaged in the political process, I determined a few years ago I was not going to make a difference. For many years I voted for someone I didn’t like just to keep the other from winning. I haven’t voted ‘for’ someone my whole life. I
have voted every election (but for those I wasn’t in the USA). I think of them all Jimmy Carter has been my biggest disappointment. I don’t understand his thinking.

We know that in these last days everything will come down to money and power. That is what men will be seeking. So many
Christian web sites are always selling books. There is but one
book we should be reading, and most don’t read that much if
at all. But we know what Ecclesiates says about the making of books.

  3. If voting actually changed anything it would be banned. The Mormon Jesus is like the Islamic Jesus which is like the Jehovah Witness Jesus that is like the new age Jesus that is like the liberal church Jesus that is like the roman catholic Jesus that is like the athiest Jesus etc etc, in other words, not the JESUS of the Bible, a Jesus who is begotten of the FATHER, equal to the FATHER , creator off all things and SAviour of the world by having the worlds sins placed upon Him and Him being chastised for those sins. There is only one JESUS.

  4. My best assumption, Mitt Romney will be the nominee. If not him Newt. Both are pro Israel and have the powerful Jewish lobby in their favor. Newt however has said the Palestinians are not a people.
That is music to Israels ear and will benefit him greatly. His campaign funds have been increasing greatly since he made that statement.
Ron Paul will not be nominated as Republican candidate but will run on a third party. He will likely cause Obama to be elected as he will take a percentage of votes away from the Republican candidate.
But then again God is in sovreign control and the outcome will be as he has planned and purposed

  5. God Today is The Same God, Yehovah, who tears down and raises up! God Today is The Same God, Father of The Son! “I AM A MAN OF WAR”! God Today is The Same God, AND JESUS WILL JUDGE–and THE BLOOD WILL BE UP TO THE BRIDLES! God is the SAME GOD! HE LOVES! HE IS LOVE! AND HE WILL NOT TOLERATE EVIL! HE LOVES! HE IS LOVE! AND HE WILL SAVE THOSE WHO TURN TO HIM, GOD WHO IS LOVE! THOSE WHO TURN AWAY TURN AWAY FROM LOVE! HE IS A MAN OF WAR. We DO NOT FIGHT, UNLESS HE SAYS FIGHT… HAVE A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM! When you FOLLOW “words,” AND NOT GOD HIMSELF, you ARE in error! YOU WILL KNOW WHAT TO DO…when…YOU…HAVE…the…Holy…SPIRIT! <3+

  6. Well, this is what the Bible says,

2Sa 23:3 The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.

I don’t see any of the candidates for president living up to that. They will rule in the fear of not looking politically correct.

  7. We live in a pluralistic society with freedom to practice all religions. We cannot expect that we will have a genuine Christian for president. Catholicism is a false religion and those who profess faith in works are not true believers. The Bible tells us that we are to pray for all leaders.

Where Graham failed was to fall in line with his father’s ecumenism and give the impression that he had no problem with the Mormon religion. The sad part is that if Romney is elected it will further the cause of Mormonism just as has the rise to popularity of Glenn Beck who has become the darling of Christian conservatives.

The notion that the U.S.A. is a Christian nation is a fallacy. Yes, our country used to defend the Christian principles, but that is quickly disappearing. That is predicted in the Bible for the end times.

As believers we must focus on the truth of the Word and not look to men or women to solve the problems of our moral morass and concerns over the state of our economy and the world situation. We need to rely on God and God alone for wisdom and discernment. We need to stop putting preachers and “Christian” TV networks on the level of idols and get back into the Word and on our knees. But the apostasy is in full bloom and getting ready to go to seed, so that likely won’t happen save for the remnant who still value truth above all.

  8. This call for repentance is so spot on. Why has the USA become so weak with its Christianity? Mormons are exactly like Muslims in their faith. If Romney is voted in, the USA is going down big time. As far as i can tell, God usually only blesses nations who know and believe in His Son. Get real USA, or go home.
