Jewish virgin Miriam was blessed among women

She gave birth to Jesus the Messiah. She was blessed among women, was saved by her Son and joined the believers.

The family of Jesus celebrated Jewish festivals, and obsrved the Torah.

Miriam was raised Jewish. When she gave birth to the Messiah, she and her husband went to the Temple in Jerusalem, and offered a sin offering.

  Leviticus 5:7
“‘Anyone who cannot afford a lamb is to bring two doves or two young pigeons to the LORD as a penalty for their sin—one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering.

Luke 2:22-24
When the time came for the purification rites required by the Law of Moses, Joseph and Mary took him to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord  (as it is written in the Law of the Lord, “Every firstborn male is to be consecrated to the Lord” and to offer a sacrifice in keeping with what is said in the Law of the Lord: “a pair of doves or two young pigeons.

Miriam knew she held God the great “I AM” in her hand. She also knew she was a human sinner, who had to present a sin offering.

Jesus was raised in a family that might have looked like this. Completely Jewish.

The mother of Jesus raised her son in the Jewish faith.

He was circumcised, like all Jewish boys.

The Bible also explains that the Messiah joined his parents in celebrating Jewish festivals.

I am sure Jesus had good and loving parents. Miriam was chosen by God, and blessed among women.

As He grew up, The Messiah obeyed His parents.

He lived in a family who observed the Torah. They lived their life as Jews, from the bloodline of Judah, belonging to the house of Jewish King David.

The Messiah never sinned. He never broke a single line commanded by the Law of Moses.

Miriam never equaled her self with him. They were not worshiped together. No one came and bowed down to her, claiming her to be “holy”. No Jew could ever dream about making a statue of Miriam, bowing down to it.

To worship a created being like Miriam, would be lawlessness. The Jewish Kings from the East knew the Law, and the Prophetic Word in regards to the coming of the Messiah. They did not come to Bethlehem, to bow down and worship THEM. They came to get the confirmation, that the King of the Jews finally had come in flesh. King Messiah was the only valid object of divine veneration, adoration and worship.

 Matthew 2:11
On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.

If you are a Roman Catholic, and do not want to understand, there might be nothing more to say. You just have to face the coming judgment.

  1. i was writing someone about this today. I mentioned that Mary had to give a sin offering. The person I spoke to said that there were no revisions in law for the sinless, so she had to keep the law anyway. (???) He also said that Jesus was baptized and that it’s the same thing. (Meaning He did not need to be born again or forgiven) but just had to follow the law anyway.

But Jesus was baptized so that He could enter the priesthood according to the order of Melchizedek as our forever chief priest, whom according to the law had to be washed with water and anointed with oil.

The idea that Mary was born sinless and forgiven and saved before she was born since God is outside of time (which is the Catholic doctrine of Immaculate Conception..which today is the feast day) is beyond doing theological gymnastics. Not only that it contradicts scripture 100%.

      Thanks for this comment:

I have written, that “Catholic Mary” fits into all cultures, and even pagan mythology and religions. The only thing the Papacy claims she can not be, is Jewish. That is amazing. Miriam could have been anything, but not a Jewish girl who needed to go to the Temple with a sin offering, as a penalty for her sin.

The Pope is the man of sin, a lawless being who have twisted, changed and perverted the gospel. Roman Catholics gets mad at me for exposing the truth. But I love them, and have no one to lose.

    2. Dear Sue.

To claim that sinless people in Israel had no provision in the Law, but had to offer a sin offering as a penalty for their sins out of “political correctness”, is pure blasphemy. Even Moses had to offer sin offerings. If you tell a Jew this kind of baloney understanding of the Jewish society and Judaism, He will wounder what kind of drugs you have taken.

If Miriam was sinless, there was no need for a Messiah. Than she is the Messiah. Sinless “Catholic Mary” could have been crucified, and paid the perfect atonement for our sins, by shedding her blood. The Queen of Heaven came down form Heaven, and return to her throne. Such theology is absurd, still Popes, Cardinals, Bishops and priest tell Catholics to believe this, or they will not be saved.

      1. Ivar,

They believe that Mary’s redemption was retroactive. So she was saved before the Crucifixion. Before any blood was shed. Their claim is that since God is outside of time He can apply His benefits before the crucifixion took place.

Of course there is ZERO “proof” of this in the bible. It’s all ‘tradition’ and man made stuff. They claim because she was “full of grace” that means that there was no sin in her.

It’s quite a stretch. And a fairytale theology. A doctrine of demons to elevate a created being to a goddess figure, distracting people from the Messiah.

    3. Baptism does not cause anyone to be “born again.” We are born again by the Spirit when we put our trust in the shed blood of Jesus. It is the blood of Christ, not the waters of baptism, that wash away our sin.

  2. I recently found your blog. Thank you for all you write. My husband and I were raised evangelical Christians but have recently gone back to the Hebrew roots of our faith. This year we celebrated (and will continue celebrating) the Biblical festivals. We attend a home Messianic church in the Pacific Northwest of the US. We have 5 children, and strive to teach them to follow the entire Word of the Lord. As I read this post, I chuckled to myself and thought – well of course! So much of western Christianity has lopped it’s Hebrew roots and I find it incredibly sad that so many don’t realize Yeshua was born, raised, and live as a Jew – keeping with all commandments of the Torah. I had to explain to family (parents and the like) that we were not forsaking “Christian” holidays for “Jewish” ones. But that we were instead starting on a road to keep the Lord’s appointed times/festivals has He has set up in the Word. Keep sounding the gong! May the Lord bless you abundantly!

    1. Dear Tiffany Ambriz

      Thanks for blessing me.

There is an awakening that cuts down the lines of denominations, in regards to the Jewishness of our Master, the King of the Jews. Christians who have no clue about what kind of life Jesus lived, must read the Bible all over again. And seek for the Jew that saved them.

Jesus did not observe the Torah, to delete it. Neither did He die of the cross, to make us able to observe the Law. He died for our sins, because we are not able to observe the perfect Law, and gain a righteousness by our good deeds. We are all saved by faith, saved by His mercy and grace.

The Torah convicts us of sins, and points towards the only solution: The Messiah.

  3. Mary knew that she was a sinner and that she needed a saviour.

    Luke 1:46-47:

“And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,

And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. “

  4. I am a christian living in the west. I had never kept the feasts. I didnt give much heed to the fact that my savior was Jewish. My inlaws are Christians too. After I got married I realized how much differently they act in regards to Israel and the feasts and our savior. They are not from Hebrew roots they just realized that the old testement is God breathed scripture too and in it God does talk alot about the feasts. I began to take part in the feasts with them. It was amazing the difference in the approach to Yeshua. I have a very different view than the rest of the western christians now. Even my own parents dont see the imporntance of realizing that we are grafted into the root. I have a much closer relationship with Yeshua now. It is amazing how realizing and recognizing who someone really is can bring you so much closer. I also have a much deeper love for Israel now than I ever have before.
In regards to Mary. She was blessed among all women because of the task that the Lord choose her to do. She was a sinner. Her last recorded words in scripture are – whatever he says do it- she was refering to Yeshua. those are the only words of hers that we should follow.
