The Pope in Rome supports “Construction of an International order based on justice and human rights”.
The Pope is greeted in the United Nation, and wants to become the prince of peace.
The American Embassy in the Vatican are quoting the global ambitions of the Pope, in a leaked cable to the State Department in Washington. Again the whistle blower is Wikeleaks.
This is the message from the US Embassy:
¶2. (U) THE HOLY SEE IS AN ACTIVE PARTICIPANT IN A BROAD RANGE OF INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS — TYPICALLY AS AN “OBSERVER” — AND WORKS WITHIN THESE FORA TO ADVANCE PRINCIPLES CENTRAL TO THE CHURCH’S WORLD VIEW: PRIORITY OF THE HUMAN PERSON; THE PROMOTION AND, WHEN NECESSARY, THE DEFENSE OF PEACE; SUPPORT FOR DEMOCRACY BUILDING INITIATIVES; AND CONSTRUCTION OF AN INTERNATIONAL ORDER BASED ON JUSTICE AND HUMAN RIGHTS. FM TAURAN RECENTLY RESTATED THE HOLY SEE’S BASIC MESSAGE TO UN MEMBER STATES: ALL NATIONS ARE EQUAL, WITH EQUAL DIGNITY AND RIGHT TO DEFENSE OF IDENTITY AND AUTONOMY; NATIONS MUST ACT IN SOLIDARITY (I.E., ACCORDING TO RECIPROCAL MORAL OBLIGATIONS
UNCLASSIFIED
PAGE 03 VATICA 03633 01 OF 03 231457Z
NOT ONLY TO TREAT EACH OTHER WITH RESPECT BUT TO SEE THAT PEOPLES’ BASIC NEEDS ARE MET). THE HOLY SEE REGARDS THE UNITED NATIONS SYSTEM AS AN IDEAL FORUM AND PRIVILEGED PLATFORM TO ADVANCE THESE PRINCIPLES MULTILATERALLY. AS A RESULT, IT HAS TENDED TO LOOK THE OTHER WAY WHEN FACED WITH THE UN’S FAILINGS, PARTICULARLY ITS BUREAUCRATIC DEFICIENCIES. IT IS UNLIKELY TO PUBLICLY SUPPORT U.S.
Take a look of the global vision of the Pope, expressed by this photo inside the United Nations building in New York:
The Pope puts his hands on the UN-flag, and pray all will accept his leadership towards global peace.
¶3. (U) IN OPTING FOR PERMANENT OBSERVER STATUS RATHER THAN FULL MEMBERSHIP IN MOST ORGANIZATIONS, THE HOLY SEE HAS SOUGHT TO EMPHASIZE ITS MORAL, RATHER THAN POLITICAL, AUTHORITY, AND ITS UNIQUE INTERNATIONAL JURIDICAL STATUS. THE HOLY SEE THEREFORE OPERATES FROM A DOCTRINAL AND PRINCIPLE-BASED PERSPECTIVE WITHIN INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS TO MAINTAIN ITS REPUTATION OF BEING “SUPER PARTES” – A DISINTERESTED MORAL AGENT ACTING FOR THE GOOD OF HUMANITY.
… IN THE SUDAN CASE, IT DID TAKE AN ACTIVE BUT BEHIND THE SCENES ROLE IN DISCUSSING WITH
OTHER UNSC DELEGATES THE INAPPROPRIATENESS OF SUDAN AS A UNSC MEMBER.
My comment:
Vision of a “New International order”. The Pope as “moral agent” acting on behalf of humanity. The United Nations as an “ideal forum”. The Pope looking “the other way”, when the US criticize the corrupt UN system.
The Pope really play a role behind the scenes. That is surely the truth. But the “Holy see” do not preach the gospel behind the scenes.
The problem with branding the UN as an “ideal forum” is obvious for all honest and reflecting people. The majority of the members states are not democratic nations, but rather ruled by dictators of different colors. If the Pope was a Christian, he would preach the gospel to the UN, exposing sins and call leaders to repentance and obedience to Jesus the Messiah.
The Pope has no motive of doing so.
He know it is more simple to become the religious leader of the World, when greeted by a UN-gathering of anti-democratic forces. Because the very idea of a global King, is the very rule of the final anti-Christ. A man of lawlessness who will rule over lawless leaders on a global scale.
The Roman Catholic Church is a carnal, apostate mixed up religious movement, which tries to promote it self as true Christianity.
I do not know what else it will take for people to see, that the reformers of the Church was right. The Pope in Rome is truly an anti-Christ walking in all kind of fleshy desires on Earth.
The Pope and his closest followers try to gain World power by playing games inside the assembly’s of the wicked.
Mr. Ivarjeld Sir: I have avoided reading about the Catholic Church due to it’s behavior in ancient times and the more I read from you is that the false prophet( the pope ) is the one that will become antichrist. There won’t be 2 people, only the false prophet and the one world government..it is at the Great Tribulation time that most people fully realize it’s the Roman Papal System, wow, lot’s of people are being led astray..and the Bible plainly tells us where the antichrist comes from.
At least this is my thoughts, is this correct?
Bless You
When did ever the Pope or Popes of the past ever claimed to be Prophets or God since he is mortal man!! He servant of God and the Vicar of Christ or Steward of Christ or his representive!!!
Matt.16
1. [18] And I say also unto you, that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Answer
The Pope is regarded as the vicar of Jesus Christ by those of the Catholic faith and others who agree with their position. The scripture above is in the majority text and has no variant readings whatsoever. In other words, every single manuscript that exists has it.
The issue is not with the above scripture but with its interpretation. It neither names Peter as the vicar of Christ, nor asserts that he will be the spiritual head of the Church. James, the brother of John clearly fulfilled that role in the early days, even though Peter was held in high regard, as James presided over the first church council in Acts 15, while Peter was also present. He thus clearly did not have primacy.
The Catholic position is that the Holy Spirit guides the Church; this is called tradition. It is regarded as important but subordinate to Scripture. Tradition led to the pope becoming the spiritual head of the Church (Christ is the Head).
Answer:
It is well recognized, including by Catholics, that it was only after Constantine that the Bishop of Rome began to assert his primacy which it then traced back to Peter. The Gospel of Matthew was written, as is almost universally acknowledged today, in the first. Thus the issue of the claim of insertion is a myth put forward by anti-Catholics; no reputable Protestant scholar of Srcipture would maintain the insertion viewpoint.
Those who do not agree that the pope is the vicar of Christ simply interpret the scripture passage differently.
The Catholic position is that the Holy Spirit guides the Church; this is called tradition.
My reply:
Mark 7:8-9.
You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions.” And he continued, “You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe our own traditions.
(end of scripture).
This is what religion is all about. The Cannon Law, or any other set of Human traditions that makes the World of God null and void, is blasphemy. We find the same man made “rules and observations” in both religious Judaism, and the Roman Catholic faith. All who compromise on the World of God will unite in the One World Religion, together will all kind of religious people.
2 Thessalonians 2:15 KJV by Paul, the Apostle
Therefore, brothers, stand fast, and hold the traditions which you have been taught, whether by word, or our letter.
Scripture never ENDS!!!!! We are not the People of Book as Muslims would call us!!!! How dare you try to make that!!! We are the People and followers of the LIVING WORD who became flesh and dwelled amoung us, taughts, so we can pass it on to Others as TRADITION!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tradition in and of itself isn’t wrong, but when it’s content conflicts with the Scriptures, the teaching of men needs to be disregarded for the certain truth of the Bible.
Please give me examples of human traditions, that is not in conflict with the scriptures.
If your life is “scriptual”, you live out your faith in Jesus.
Let me give you an example:
The staff and I start every day with Bible studies and prayer in our office. We only pray to the Father in the name of Jesus. That is a man made tradition.
I brake bread, and share with people who have less than me. I lay my hands on and pray for sick people. This has also become a tradition in my life.
Thank you for welcoming me to your site. I’ve actually been visiting for quite awhile. I’m just now gathering the courage to write a bit and hopefully to contribute positively in some small way to the awesome commentary I find here.
As to examples of human tradition; what comes most immediately to my mind is the way I’ve come to understand that preparation day (Nisan 15) came to be observed over time. The command is simply to remove all leaven from the household. And no leaven was to be consumed for the seven days of Unleavened Bread. Over time,as I’m given to understand, a tradition developed of leaving a little leaven somewhere in a conspicuous place for the child or children of the household to find. They would report their find to their father who would respond with a feather and cloth. He would carefully sweep the leaven into the cloth and, after binding the cloth, would burn it in the fire. The object lesson for the children was the very serious penalty for sin, which the leaven represented as well as the need to, with care, mind that sin is thoroughly removed, again, which the leaven represented.
There is nothing commanding this practice in Scripture, but there is nothing opposing it’s inclusion either. This one example came to my mind as I wrote my earlier comment. There are not many examples, but there are a few. But, as I stated, where the content of a tradition would conflict with Scripture, it needs to be disregarded for the certain truth of the Bible, which we know is God’s word and, therefore the Truth.
I do live by faith in Jesus Christ alone. I know that I am saved by Grace alone (the free unmerited by me, gift of God to me), through Faith alone, in Christ Jesus alone.
A+ Ivar. Really good. Catholics, please pay attention to what is happening. You can not ignore this information or pass it off as not relevant. The RCC is taking you down this road with her
. Are you in favor of world government? If the answer is no I would rethink following the pope.
Thanks for the A+. As long as Jesus remains a pleased reader of this blog, I will be blessed. May Yeshua keep on blessing you and take you through the Earthly tribulations you face. Amen.
Rose, please don’t leave from posting here. I read your comment and thought it was really good. The reformers always believed the office of the pope, no matter who occupied it at the time, was antichrist because of the dogma that teaches the pope is ‘in the place of’ Christ on earth. It’s one of the ways “antichrist” is defined.
I believe there will be two distinct individuals; one the antichrist and the other the false prophet as I believe the Scriptures differentiate between the two in the Book of Revelation. See especially Revelation, Chapter 13; verses 1-10 describe the antichrist (the first beast) while verses 11-18 describe the second beast, the false prophet. The antichrist gets his power from the dragon who is none other than Satan. I think the presence of the three of them makes a counterfeit and mockery of the Trinity, but that’s just my opinion.
Please don’t leave this site, Rose. It looks like a good place (and that’s rare) for Christians to meet and fellowship. We could learn from each other. But we have that opportunity only if you’ll keep posting.
Yes, I agree with you about the Antichrist, the False Prophet and Satan. Honestly I don’t know what I was thinking.
Guess, we both know where confusion originated from, I don’t believe the pope has anything to do with Jesus Christ much less to pray to him, to get to Jesus is nuts.
Thank You
The Pope of Rome is THE antichrist and always has been, from the very first Pope.

You are forgetting this scripture verse Ivar!!!!!

Shalom.
Roman Catholics have a special ability to twist the scriptures, and or, quote them out of context.
This is what NIV has recorded:
2 Thessalonians 2:15
15 So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold fast to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter.
(end of scripture)
Paul did not hold the New Testament in his hands. You do. So do not add to scripture, but respect that the Biblical cannon is closed.
My life has enlarged the Apostolic age, by my words and deeds that honors Jesus. But i have no permission from Heaven to re-open the book of Acts.
The book of Acts can rather be used by others, to expose me as a true believer, or a fake.
